Why is it that there is so much proof to people that certain things are bad? Yet people go and do the same exact things that cause the pain. People know that they are drinking mind altering substances and say sorry after they, “unintentually”, rape someone and say sorry when they wake up. They know that smoking pot is illegal but wonder why they get arrested for possession. Pot is called the gateway drug and people that do it don’t believe it to be true. I for one know that it is. Especially since a good friend of mine said he would only smoke weed after he got out of this lockdown facility we were in. An hour after he left he stole someone’s pills and got high. A year later he was found dead in an alley from a heroin overdose. That is just one of three that I know. Then there was a girl that pulled a gun and shot her boyfriend in the eye. He is my friend and has emotional problems because he can’t see out of that eye. People even had the nerve to make fun of him for that. Then there are the kids that don’t see what good their parents do for them. Kids can’t wait till they turn eighteen, so they can move out. When they do, they see what was so hard for their parents. Parents buy all the food, they buy the clothes, they teach you to be accountable, they pay the house bill, they take you to the places you ask them, and they pay for your medical. All they ask in return is to follow some rules, do some chores, and show some respect. The violence in this world is awful. Kids find it funny when they see a video of a homeless guy getting the life beat out of him. There are violent cartoons where their heads get ripped off and the kids laugh at that. People bully the people that can’t defend themselves or the people that won’t. I was bullied all my life and there was only two occasions that I either fought someone or bullied back. The first was a short girl kept calling be fat so I got tired and called her a midget. She didn’t talk to me for three months. Then we became friends. Then second is a similar scenario. A guy made fun of me for being physically slow and fat. I told people I was going to fight him on the last day of school. And I did and he ran away in fear. We never talked again. Neither I enjoyed too much but I got what I wanted. The rap artists don’t help when they make songs how they raped girls and how girls are just meant to have sex and they call them BI***ES. Then the girls are too blind to see that they are being insulted. I keep hearing stories of girls getting raped and they can’t live with themselves. I personally knew one and I really liked her but she was raped and contracted herpes. She hated it because she feared that no guy would want her because of it and she was the one that didn’t want it. The teenage girls now a day feel that in order to have friends they need to have sex. When they have sex they enjoy it so they do it for pleasure. But the very second they find out they have a STD or that they are pregnant, they all the sudden take it serious. Then some other girls that are raped are so emotionally traumatized they feel that they were only meant to live to have sex. Then there are also some parents to blame for this as well. They have poor discipline or they break the law with them. I knew a friend that got high off a stash of his dad’s weed. I have read stories and heard things on the news. One family kept their daughter in the same room and never let her leave, they never talked to her, they fed her under the door and the girls had to go to the bathroom in her room. When the police found her, the girl was in her teens and did not know how to talk yet. There are mothers that shake infants to get them to be quiet. Then there are fathers that have drinking problems that make their kids violent or so victimized that they kill themselves, others, or their family. Then the talk that I hear from guys, Such as animal abuse, for example, “When I see a cat on the road, I speed up, not slow down.” Then there are some of the things that I see and hear about how some guys think about girls. Here are a few, “butter face”- everything in hot but her face, “she has a nice @$$”, I’d hit that or I’d do her. There are guys that call themselves the members of the @$$ patrol. Then there was a question of what girls thought about the wolf whistle. Before it was a compliment, now guys are letting girls know that they are looking at their butt and breasts. This paragraph is about the thieves we had in our time. I went to a government ran school and you had to lock up your toothpaste in your locker or someone would steal it. One person was caught stealing $500.00 worth of electronics and they did not convict him or expel him. Over $100.00 is a felony and this if $400.00 more at a government paid facility. He had to be caught twice. Then I informed the security people that my roommates were doing drugs, and they asked me to buy some for proof. Once I even saw the weed and they were dealing itnooo the whole thing didnt paste more

Voting Question: If a family court system is operating in an unjust manner, and my attorney is useless as well, what can I do?

My husband and I got into an argument 2 years ago and he called the police for advice so it wouldn't get out of hand. They arrested us on the spot and eventually the charges were dropped. At the time my son was 4 years old and in the other room watching cartoons, but these police officers took it upon themselves to get DHR family services involved. I don't even believe in spanking our children and we can't seem to get out of the system. We have gone to parenting classes, anger management, random drug testing, (btw they gave temporary custody to my mother in law and the worker who did that got fired for doing things like that all the time). We didn't do anything wrong. Everyone has arguments and it is unreal what we are going through. They can't tell us why we can't get out and it seems two years later this seems like harassment. Our court appointed attorney seems to do everything my mother in law wants and she wants to keep our son who is now six and try and take our new born. How is this possible. I thought the system was set up to help families and protect abused children. Who do I go to about this DHR office? By the way, this same office was involved with me when I was 14. I ran away because I was molested growing up and they sent me back home to live in hell for another 3 years until I could get away. My attorney told me (when I brought this up the other day out of frustration) that it was because it costs money to find homes for children when they are abused. I cannot believe this kind of mess can happen in America. HELP!!! more

Resolved Question: Anyone else feel for Cereal Cartoon Characters' Rights?

I feel that Cereal-Advertising Cartoon Characters are very abused. Silly Rabbit - Why can't the dumb brats just give him one cup of yogurt? Lucky - Do those kids realize that the cereal they are trying to steal is Lucky's ONLY FOOD. If they take it, he's gonna die. They can just go to the store and buy there own dang cereal. Cookie Crisp Dog - Just give him some dang cereal! Forcing him to hurt himself just trying to eat food is cruel! And what happened to his fatty cousin dog? Now its some skinny gray one! And we all know that the Coco Puffs Bird represents drug addiction. FIGHT THE POWER! more

Resolved Question: Why is there so much controversy over Dora growing up?

I know that a lot of kids love her as the sweet 7-year-old she already is, but why is it a big deal with her growing up? There are plenty of cartoon characters who grow up. I saw the silhouette of what she's going to look like and I think it's perfectly okay. I'm pretty sure she's not going to be some kind of rebellious, drug-abusing tween. As for the new doll that's supposed to be released in the fall, I don't see why parents see it as "too sexy." Look at Barbie and Bratz. Plenty of parents buy those dolls for their little girls. So what's the problem with Dora? It is just a toy. I'm sure it won't kill anyone. Just because Dora is growing up means she's going to become the next Hannah Montana and her doll is going to become the next Barbie or Bratz? I don't think so. more

In movies, cartoons, TV shows, anime/manga (japanese cartoons/comic books), I've heard of it, but is it really true? It's possible to throw up blood due to stress? I've never heard of throwing up blood as a condition, besides something throat related (for example, inhale screaming; a technique used by screamo rock singers), or something to do with previously ingesting blood, ulcers, cancer, or drug/alcohol abuse? I know that's alot to overlook, but I was just wondering, because it seems to be an on-going theme in drama shows that someone is under so much stress and then they cough and there's blood on their hands. Just wondering :) more

I abuse my body in many ways.My eating problem began 3 yrs ago,& it wasnt 2 loose weight,i just couldnt eat infront of ppl, never had time 4 breakfast,got used 2 not eatin lunch & ate little dinner.I still dont have good eating habits, i go a day or 2 w/o eating anything,& drinking some water & diet 7up,on top w/ the eating,abusing drugs such as coke,when i dont eat,i wear out alot,& when adding my sleep ontop of all that,i have so far only stayed up 4 58 hrs,w/o eating,doing coke,& drinking,which when it gets 2 the 2nd day,i start 2 hallucinate, which ive only had it real bad once,I saw a man in my BedR window,had cartoons in my window pointing a laser gun @ me & i saw the laser go around my room,now i just see things moving when there not,when i stay up i have paranoia,i hear things all the time, lately when going 2 bed i feel spiders crawling on me..i no those effects r from the drugs,but w/ everything else,will i ever get my life back?Atleast back 2 when i new who i was? more
