Resolved Question: Vaginal problems for 5 years and still no cure! Please help!?
I am a 30 year old woman. 5 years ago I started noticing excessive clear cervical mucus from my vagina. It looks just like snot (pardon the expression). From then on it has been a constant problem for me. The discharge now varies from mucus-like to thin white - to light yellow. If any of it gets on the outside of my body, it causes a lot of itching. I can feel it when it drips out. It has a fishy, metallic odor and I am sick of it. I am a clean person and I don't get why this is happening. I had a normal up until then and I miss it. It leaves a sour odor on my clothes and towels. It gets worse during the summer. My vagina sweats and I can smell it even when I go to the Laundromat to wash my things. I am currently not sexually active and I have been tested for all stds and everything was negative. Matter of fact. This problem started before I even lost my virginity. I have been to the Women's Health Clinic numerous times to solve this problem. They say it is Bacterial Vaginosis and they keep giving me the same stupid Metronidazole pills and they don't work.My body is now immune to the stuff. They referred me to a Gynecologist and they took all the necessity tests at least 3 separate times. No cervical cancer or stds. They said it was Bacterial Vaginosis and Group Strep B. They gave me more Metro pills. Obviously that didn't work. Then I had another exam and I was given Antibacterial pills for the Group Strep B. Those did not work. Then the last time I was there I was given Diflucan just in case it was a Yeast Infection. It did no good. The doctor keeps telling me there is nothing to treat and won't give me anything else now. No one can seem to help me. I don't have diabetes or anything else, so this is nothing to do with a immune issue. I have tried everything to combat the odor and discharge, including Yeast Guard, acidolphilus, apple cider vinegar, Hydrogen Peroxide, vinegar and water, niacin, douches, folic acid, boric acid, cotton underwear, scent free detergent, diet changes and many other things. This has been ruing my life and confidence. I constantly have to buy new underwear. I must wash up several times per day. I am embarrassed to have a boyfriend because he may think I am nasty and unclean or may get a whiff of the odor. My clothes reek of this sour odor. I can't wear certain clothes, such as sweat pants because the discharge leaks through and it is hard to wash out. I need help! What more can I do? I have been to the doctors too many times and I am tired of the exams, which leave me sore and irritated. I just want to have a normal vagina. I am jealous of other women who get to have a normal sex life and don't have to deal with heavy discharge and odor or who can go out in public or on day trips and not worry about smells or discharges or finding the nearest bathroom to clean up stained underwear. moreResolved Question: How to handle being told my Vagina SMELLS BAD?
Okay. 3 years ago, I had unprotected sex with an older men. Shortly after, my vagina started omitting the foulest smell I've ever smelled in my life. It smelled like corroding fish and rotten crabs. I was devastated. Mortified and I cried myself to sleep. After my melodramatics, I went to the doctor and found out, I had BV or Bacterial Vaginosis. If you haven't educated yourself on this, please do before making asinine presumptions. Any who, since then---I've struggled with recurring episodes almost every month. I've taken antibiotics, acidopholis and I take apple cider vinegar baths some days. Some months I go odor-free and my sex life isn't effected. But an old partner of mines whom, we've been on again/ off again---recently told me, that he had fallen back from me sexually because he had "noticed" a difference in my scent down there. My first was reaction was feeling CRUSHED. But then I got angry because I was frustrated with this never ending problem. Though I am glad he brought it to my attention, I am embarrassed as this isn't something I want to keep having to explain to every sexual partner. Women don't ALWAYS smell like roses down there. He said, it wasn't an ungodly smell but just different. I wouldn't have sex if the smell was over-powering, I guess I just wish guys were more sensitive to the fact that women suffer from these kind of infections and it has nothing to do with neglectful hygiene. moreResolved Question: How to have a SEX life while having bacterial vaginosis?

For some reason, people don't frequent those sections as often. moreResolved Question: How long will I have to do apple cider vinegar douche for bacterial vaginosis?
I found out that I have bacterial vaginosis.I read that douching with apple cider vinegar really helps to heal infection and get rid of that fouls smell. I am learning so many women douche with vinegar or apple cider vinegar. I have to do this to cure this though. After the bacterial vaginosis goes away with my douching with apple cider vinegar, will I have to douche with apple cider vinegar every month? How often will I have to do vinegar douches? Douching messes up ph though so I'm a little worried. Will I have to keep douching with vinegar and apple cider vinegar every month? Will it affect my fertility?Just like on that episode of Married with Children when Al noticed bottles of vinegar in the bathroom. He asked what are they doing making a salad in there? I have to get rid of this so I will need to douche with the apple vinegar, but will I need to do it every month? How often to douche?I don't want to ruin my ph balance either or ruin my fertility. moreResolved Question: Bacterial Vaginosis, Remedies?
I recently was diagnosed with BV, I just finished taking Flagyl and it worked like a charm. (it's only been 4 days) But I'm menstruating and using tampons and now I'm worried it might come back. (I know I should use pads but I can't afford them right now) I've heard about using a yogurt injection and/or rinsing with diluted apple cider vinegar. Has anyone used these methods before? Should I rinse myself with the diluted ACV after my period is done? moreResolved Question: should i be worried, i may be prego!!!!?
