Natural Apple Cider Vinegar Questions asked
Open Question: Does anyone use essential oils for natural flea repellent?
I have been wanting to use natural remedies for flea repellent on my Beagle-mix dog. I've been giving her brewer's yeast tabs for the past 5 months. I plan to also use a spray bottle of water mixed with lemongrass and rosemary essential oils (since I happen to have these as they were given as a gift and I only like the lavendar). I am also going to get some apple cider vinegar to put a small amount in my dog's water every day. Is this effective? Does anyone have experience with this, especially the essential oils? moreOpen Question: Does anyone know about cayenne pepper and 5-HTP?
Cayenne pepper is supposed to be extremely healthy for lowering cholesterol, triglycerides, and raising good cholesterol. It's also supposed to be anti-inflammatory. My question is, how much of that stuff do I need to take on a daily basis for it to work? I currently take about 1 teaspoon of it in a glass of warm water---but is that enough? My other question is the 5-HTP. I was told that this is a supplement that works well for people with pain and with sleeping problems. I would like to try it but before I do that, I'd like to hear from people who use or used it--how much did they take, what did it do for them, etc. This is very important for me. I have weaned myself off of all prescription drugs over the last 3 years and had good results trying to tackle problems like athritis and high cholesterol the natural way. However, I cannot relax well enough to go to sleep. I twist and turn in my bed for hours if I don't take something like Valerian Root and Benadryl---I don't mind the Valerian Root, but do not like the Benadryl--it's a chemical and I would like to get off of that for good now. Here is what I take: Fish Oil alternating with Krill Oil(1 month krill, one month fish) Co-enzyme CQ-10, Garlic 1000mg, Vitamin c 1500 mg Calcium with Vitamin D Supplement Metamucil and Bulk Fiber Valerian Root and Apple Cider Vinegar Supplements Centrum Cardio----------------------------------I have no serious health issues except athritis which I try to beat with Fish Oil and Krill Oil as well as Pineapple juice. I take q teaspoon of organic cayenne pepper in the morning when I get up---but, I am not sure if 1 teaspoon is enough, and what I really want to find out is if I can add the 5-HTP supplement. I was told that it really helps with the relaxation and makes for a better night sleep. Thank you in advance!!I need to add that I exercise every day. I do 45 minutes on an elliptical trainer and at least 45 minutes of walking(I have a dog!!) moreOpen Question: I need help from a workout supplement or vitamin expert on how often and when I should take these...?
Alright here is my line up of vitamins-- -these multi-vitamins you're suppose to take 4 a day I normally take 2 if I remember -omega 3 -calcium -licorice -apple cider vinegar those above i try to take regularly these others i haven't taken in awhile because I'm not sure if I really need them daily or whatnot -cla -pyruvate -now energy supplement (just a mix of natural stuff that are in most energy supps) -green tea extract Really the last vitamins are the only ones I'm confused about! Most of those are take with water BEFORE meals and vitamins are after meals. But with CLA and Pyruvate should I like only take those on days i workout really hard oor everyday for effectiveness? Same with the energy and green tea? Any others I should add? I was thinking about Cinnamon but I don't want to overdo it on vitamins...also I thought with some supplements like after taking them for 3 weeks straight youre suppose to take a break for a week or 2 so your body doesn't become immune to them? moreResolved Question: Apple cider vinegar in eye?
I put diluted apple cider vinegar on my face as a natural remedy for better skin. When I washed my face with soap, I'm not sure if the apple cider vinegar got into my eyes but later at night, my left eye felt warm and I teared for a few minutes. My eye doesn't hurt now, but I was wondering if vinegar in the eye would cause any serious problems? Is there anything I should do now (i.e. flush my eye with warm water, etc)? I don't want to have to go to the doctor. moreVoting Question: How to get rid of fleas in furniture?
I am looking for non-chemical ways of getting rid of fleas in a couch. Since my fiancee is pregnant we really don't want to use the harsh chemical flea sprays. We are going to spray it with apple cider vinegar and maybe even put eucalyptus leaves in the cushions, but does anyone else know of any natural ways to get rid of fleas?Luckily we have no carpet, so its really only the couch which is a problem. moreResolved Question: Will eczema ever go away?
I've had eczema on my hands (fingers) for 2 years now and have tried all the creams / pills that the doctors have prescribed me with no luck- it goes away for a few weeks or max 1 month and then comes back (worse usually). Each time taking longer and longer for my skin to heal. I had given up hope for a while, but am now trying a herbal approach. I've hear apple cider vinegar is suppose to help, so I have been drinking it for a month or so now. I definitely feel better but my eczema is still not under control and continues to flare. Also, I'm not sure what hand soap to use as I have found that my hands are extremely sensitive to non-natural soaps. My hands burn when I wash them as I have cuts on my hands:( please help me! What should I do now? Should I continue to use the doctor creams? What soaps should I use? Has anyone's eczema just gone and not come back ever? Thanks for your help! Also I went to an allergist a while ago and he did the prick test, and apparently I am allergic to dust mites and cats, and a little allergic to corn and citrus things (the bumps were small so I don't think they effect me as much). I clean my room (kinda sucks I have carpet but I try to hoover a lot). I don't have a cat, but a dog (standard poodle), have been trying not to touch him as much (can't help it sometimes, he's too cute- he's not allowed upstairs where our rooms are). moreResolved Question: Eczema Cures - Lemon? APPLE CIDER VINEGAR - is it ok to consume on an empty stomach? ONION IN WHITE VINEGAR, leave it for 3 days and then apply directly to the skin. Any opinions? moreResolved Question: Unconventional skin care regime...?
I stopped using soap... I dry skin brush, and wash my body and face with a washcloth using diluted apple cider vinegar, and I moisturize with coconut oil. My skin is clearing up, and scars are fading... the color is even throughout... what gives? how come this is so amazing?? i spent so much money on "soft" soaps, and body butters and though they did work they didn't really clear my skin up... this natural way is so much better... even my eyes are shinier and I believe it's cuz my skin isn't absorbing the chemicals and perfumes of creams, and soaps.... moreResolved Question: Natural remedies for diabetes?

Hi! I am 14 years old, and about a week ago I started getting really bad heartburn at night, the kind where it feels like your swallowing a knife when you swallow, and drinking water doesn't really help. If I take an antacid such as Rolaids, it temporarily relieves the pain, but it always comes back, and lasts through the morning until I have been awake for about an hour and a half. I have stopped taking the Rolaids because they are very bad for your kidneys, and I drink ice water before bed. I also have started sleeping on my left side, because I heard that doing so lessens the chance of the stomach acids coming into your esophogus. I read that a teaspoon of honey can help heal your esophogus and the ring around the entrance to your stomach(I forget what it's called), and that apple cider vinegar helps. So I was wondering what you have tried, or if you know of someone who has tried something that works that is natural and isn't Rolaids or Tums or anything like that. I also heard that drinking a lot of milk can cause heartburn, and I am a milk chugger, but too I heard that milk can help heartburn. Thank you for your help! moreVoting Question: Apple Cider Vinegar Remedy for Weight Loss?

Acid reflux. Coming out of acid reflux. My story may be able to help some of you. They say that acid reflux is caused by poor eating habits and or bacteria in your stomach. Right before my episode with acid reflux I was eating healthy, in perfect shape and had my perfect work hard. Once day, I stared having all the symptom of acid reflux and no one knew what I had. This went on for months. I forced my doctor to check for Helicobacter pylori. which I ended up testing positive. I got omeprazole (Prilosex) plus 2 antibiotics. 4 pills a day for 14 days. After the treatment my stomach was hitching and I still had a hard time eating. I was still creating too much acid so my doctor give me again omeprazole (Prilosex). I refused to be on any drug and I knew that the omeprazole (Prilosex) was not the answer it was just a bandage without dealing with the root of the problem. This is what I did: I knew the Key out of this was: I need to keep the body alkaline, the bad bacteria don't like an alkaline environment. I stop take the omeprazole (Prilosex) and starting taking a of Jarro Dophilus EPS (can find it in health store). The 3rd day I started to feel the difference. I was able to eat more verity of food. Aloe vera juice before every meal Eating every 3 hrs small meal. No row vegetable - fresh steam vegetable only and protein. No oily or greasy food at all, not black chocolate , not alcohol, no caffeine, no soda and not spices in your food. Avoid hot water, somehow my system does quite down with colder drink and food. I eat protein and green 3 time a day and a lot of low fat low sugar organic yogurt as snack and all day. I take 4 pills a day of Jarro Dophilus EPS . One pill 45 min before every meal to help my stomach and intestines get their natural bacteria back while controlling the excess of acid the stomach is creating. Drink the pills with hot water It makes swallowing the pills easier. I drink Apple Cider Vinegar (2 table spoons in 0.5l drink of water) throughout the day with a lot of water. I don't mix the protein & green vegetable with fruits. Sugar create more acid so I am very careful with the fruits I eat (low sugar index fruits only) and I don't eat any carbohydrate for the same reason. I recommend: Cranberry juice-Prune juice (the sugar free type mix with H2O) 2 tea spoons of honey mix with water before eating. Avocado-apples-banana-melon-walnuts-almonds-tofu-sweet potato-fish-Grilled chicken (legs grilled) easier on your stomach. Not red meat at the beginning it is too hard on the stomach. Camomile tea help digestion process. Stop eating 3hrs before bedtime. I sleep with your upper body higher than the bed level almost in a semi sitting position. I don't lift weight or jog because I was creating too much acid and it was giving me some palpitation. (yes, the doctor said that the palpitation have nothing to do with acid reflux-there not connected-well doctor have news for you everything is connected and how can a super athlete with no hard problem get some palpitation every time his stomach create too much acid). To avoid the palpitation, I ride my bike slowly without too much effort, and also walk. I make sure I space out my workout throughout the day. Now I am getting better and I know you can be acid reflux free..it take time and patience. I am almost certain that a lot of us will test negative for every test on the planet regarding stomach bacteria but small bacteria such as Escherichia coli-E-coli and other don't really have a test for them and you could have something in your system putting your stomach out of balance. So fight back by drinking Apple Cider Vinegar to clean your system and work on increasing the growth of the good bacteria your body need. Mediation is a must in the healing process Good luck to you all. moreResolved Question: Which one of these natural remedies are best for pimples?
Apple cider vinegar, egg whites, or lemon (: thanks! moreResolved Question: Loss of Pet, Deep in Despair?
My Springer Spaniel Jadah had been sick for two years with bad skin/ear allergies and constant infections. Her ears would get bloody and one was even closing up. Her skin was disgusting and smelly. She'd scratch, dig, lick continually and just lay on her bed looking miserable (most days). We tried two different veterinarians, did everything they suggested. Changed her diet, antibiotics, yeast medication, steroids, antihistimine shots, etc. I even tried all natural treatments at home such as vitamin e, fish oil, and apple cider vinegar. Needless to say for two years we continually tried to heal her condition and spent over $2,000! We finally decided (two days ago) to euthanize her. It was the hardest decision of my life, she was my best friend. I am a total wreck, crying, and I don't even want to eat (but I have a nursing baby so I must). I feel depression setting in. My brain won't stop, keep thinking "what if this, what if that". Feeling regret and guilt, thinking I should've tried harder. We are living on one income with a new baby and another dog, so we really couldn't afford more vet bills. We maxed out credit card with vet bills. At the time I felt like I was making the best decision for our family and for her, she is no longer suffering. She was only 8 years old (too young to die). I did ask the vet if her condition would ever go away and he said "no, but it can be managed with meds." The pain in my heart is horrible. I miss my dog, I'm so lonely. I want her back. Any advice? I keep beating myself up thinking I did the wrong thing... moreResolved Question: Getting rid of spots?
1. Gently wash your face. Use a mild skin cleanser that will wash away the oils on your face and after that rinse your face with water. 2. Now you should exfoliate your face - that is, remove the dead skin cells that the body as discarded so they do not block up the skin pores. You can purchase an exfoliate (facial scrub) product or you can make one up yourself : pour a little salt into a small bowl, add a few drops of water and mix till it turns into a paste (not liquid!); adding a little toothpaste (paste, not gel) to this mix gives it a little extra kick, as does baking soda. You can also add some oatmeal. Use this mixture to exfoliate - gently massaging it all over the face including the areas not affected by pimples. Do this process gently - there is no need to rub. Then after a few minutes rinse your face with water. Pat (not rub) your face dry. 3. Next, using white vinegar or apple cider vinegar or hydrogen peroxide, dab this onto the affected area and this will help to dry out the skin further. ok, my horse horse has early signs of arthritis...and I know there are plenty of supplements out there, but I would prefer to have some kind of home remedy to give to him. (i'm all about natural things, although I will use some like electrolytes) I know that flaxseed is good for their joints, and I've heard that apple cider vinegar is, but my horse is picky with taste, so I know he wouldn't eat that. Any other ideas? Thanksplease note..my horse is a stud...so only has a small paddock he can go into. There is no way to put him into a bigger paddock as all of the fences are electric tape fences, and he will break them. He is only in for now for feedings, and overnight since it gets so cold where he is. moreResolved Question: For experienced oat feeders only?
Okay, so I have been doing a lot of research on natural horse keeping. My horse is already barefoot, and pastured 24/7. I want to feed him more naturally, too. Long story short, I did my research and have decided to feed oats. I understand from reading a few sources that because oats do not have balanced amounts of calcium and phosphorous, that feeding small amounts of alfalfa can make up for it. I would feed alfalfa cubes, because baled alfalfa is pricey and hard to find in my area. So my question is, how much/many alfalfa cubes should I feed? For my horse's weight of about 950-1000 pounds, it is recommended to feed 3-4 pounds of oats a day, which equals to 3-4 quarts, or two standard feed scoops. There is one other boarder at my barn, and she is interested in natural feeding, too, and is relying on me to do the research. The owner is fine with anything we decide to do, because we kind of run the barn for him. I also heard feeding oats is cheaper then buying mixed feeds like pellets or sweet feed. How much do you pay for a bag of oats? Alfalfa cubes? Do you find it cheaper than buying sweet feed or pelleted feed? I personally hate sweet feed, so I am eager for a change. Also, if you have any other suggestions for additional supplements to add to our horses' diets, they will be appreciated. I heard black oil sunflower seeds, flax seeds, linseed, and chia seeds are beneficial. I also heard about vegetable oils and cod liver oil, apple cider vinegar, and wheat bran. One source said to provide free-choice oat straw for horses to munch on even though it has little nutritional value. Any experiences or opinions on feeding naturally are welcome, as long as you don't bash on me or my decisions. Thanks in advance.SLA- what I meant by out at pasture I meant he isn't stalled. He's in like a two acre paddock with some grass but not enough to sustain his forage needs. Sorry, I should have been more specific. Thanks, Jamie, I forgot alfalfa pellets existed, lol. I know what you mean that they can choke, I'm surprised I never thought of that. I used to give the cubes as treats because then my horse takes time to chew, but he has been known to wolf down grain so the pellets are definitely a good idea.Jamie- I just thought of this. How much of the pellets would you feed per day?reicheru- Thanks, and I heard Strategy is good, but it is expensive. Thanks for the tip about the bran, not a lot of information was provided on it. I can imagine a horse could die from free-choice oat hay because it is probably richer. Straw is dirt cheap and has no nutritional value, and from what I understand, munching on oat straw free-choice will help keep the horses occupied during the day in between meals and also keep them healthier since they were designed to constantly intake small amounts of food. moreResolved Question: how fast does honey get rid of acne scars?

So as a general rule I've usually had pretty good skin with the exception of a few pimples. More recently within the past two months I've been having bad breakouts, and taken on a skin care routine to try and calm the pimples down. The larger more noticeable ones are now almost completely gone, but now in place of smooth skin and a few pimples, I am having very rough skin and tiny little bumps. They are hardly noticeable to anyone but myself, but I feel very uncomfortable touching my face anymore and it makes me upset. About two weeks ago I took on a facial care routine that consisted of Aveeno Skin clarifying cleanser, a toner made of eight parts water and one part apple cider vinegar (i read it would work very well!) and loreal refinish moisturizer+clinique dramatically different moisturizer. In addition, my hands have also become very dry and flaky. As far as I know, I am not allergic to anything, but could this be a possibility? Could my toner be the problem? I have also heard less then glowing reviews from clinique, and after abandoning their facial soap and toner I am concerned that the moisterizer could be a problem? Are there any foods I should try cutting out of my diet? Or any recomendations as to products I could try (nothing to exspensive please! I really prefer homemade/natural products!) Should I just stick it out? I've read that sometimes it takes time for certain products to pull dirt out of your skin and as a result you get pimples but if you wait it out it goes away? My skin just feels horrible! It reminds me of people with oily skin who have had severe acne! Thank you so much for all of your help! NatalieNext non related answer will be reported! i am so sick and TIRED of this stupid dandruff!!!! i have had it since i was a kid and NOTHING works!! I have tried EVERYTHING. I've tried dozens of different dandruff shampoos, nutrogena t-gel (which is cancer-causing and you can't get the nasty smell out of your hair for days even if you shampoo it like three times afterward anyway), various psoriasis treatments, tea tree oil (which doesn't help and just makes my hair nasty oily for like three days afterward so even if it did work it wouldn't be any good cause i'm not interested in having greasy hair) jojoba oil, coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, i've even tried lathering my whole scalp with neosporin, i've tried switching to various shampoos, some all-natural (those didn't help) then i tried harsh chemical dandruff treatments but those didn't work either, i've tried washing my hair every day and i've tried washing it every few days (neither makes a difference) i've stopped dying and perming my hair which i haven't done in years and that didn't make a difference at ALL, i don't blow dry my hair anymore, i eat well, i exercise regularly, i rotate through shampoos, and dozens of other both natural and over the counter treatments and NOTHING WORKS. my scalp is disgusting and i'm a girl and i'm not interested in having to shave my head just to be free of this nastiness!! it's not like i try things and they sort of work. they don't work AT ALL. i just have this nasty layer of flaky buildup that no matter what i do to it, it never goes away. i don't know what to do. :(and please don't tell me to visit a dermatologist i know that's the obvious answer but i really don't have $100 to throw down for a visit right now. moreResolved Question: does lemon juice mixed with water sprayed onto dogs help repel fleas?

Ok, so we've been to 9 vets in the last year for Potter's skin. Here's his last regime that we've completed, but like all the others before, it's not helping long term. Has anyone had any luck with anything w/ pugs having yeasty skin? He gets hot spots and is constantly red. Apple Cider Vinegar has actually worked the best (even though we've spent close to 5K on his skin issues and have seen a dermatologist). Has anyone tried anything that has worked? So far, this is what we've tried: He's just finished another dose of antibiotics (for ears and eye and skin--he has only completed 1 dose since it was not an infection previous to 2 weeks ago) Skin scraping, lime sulfa (sp?) baths, ketoconozol baths (sp?), he's currently on benadryl (25mg) and tagament (150mg) 2ce a day. Right now, he's alternating apple cider vinegar baths/ketaconozol baths. (4 a week) He's also on Natural's Balance sweet potato and fish. Supplements: Omega 3/6/9 and a probiotic, chondrotin and glucosomine. (no fillers) Any suggestions would be really helpful. He seems to be somewhat better, but still is really red and itchy. I've also cut out febreeze and have limited his time outside, but nothing else has really helped. I'd be really grateful for any other suggestions. (no steriods)We live in Athens, GA. Does anyone know how to start a raw diet? Im a vegetarian so that would be something that if it worked, I would do, but I have no idea where to start. I could ask our vet, but he's more traditional and honestly I havent found one here that isn't wanting to just push a million anti biotics down his throat. Im currently looking for another vet here, but we just tried a new one 2 weeks ago and again, they did the same tests w/ different outcomes and new medicines. Does anyone know if Benadryl or Tagament are harmful longterm?I've never heard of BARF but will research it. Will Omega 6s cause the skin irritation? He's been on like 5 different foods. They just put him on the ZD diet? But I researched it and couldn't find anything really great about it so I havent started. He's been on Innova red meat, Natural Balance (a couple of different ones---the sweet potato did the best so far) and he was originally on wellness when I got him. We do give him raw bones and meat nuggets occasionally but he hasn't had those in the last couple of months. Thanks to everyone. Im really grateful. He is better, and his redness is only like once a day or so. Hopefully that's a sign it's getting better, but I havent tried raw yet so maybe that's the way to go?? I have 2 other rescues (pom-15 years old, Pom mix-10 years old) could they eat it too?Yes, we are mostly holistic-he's had acupuncture and herbal therapy (external wind). we dont vac..Ill definitely try that stuff. thank you!Weve tried some allergy test twice that came back w/ different triggers. ha. I will try that one. I actually rescued him from a shelter where he was brought to be euthanized because of his allergies. I would never do that and will keep fighting. He moved down from Indiana to Georgia and it actually got better when we started him on the different regimens. So far, the apple cider actually has worked, but I will try the raw thing too. Is it better to start w/ BARF or just do it all raw with my groceries? Id be scared to get him sick but I will check out the links y'all provided. Thank you for taking the time to help. moreResolved Question: What is an effective natural pest remedy?
I currently have an infestation of what I believe are fruit flys in my kitchen, and they have also migrated to my bathroom. I don't have any leaks and I think the recent heavy rains, which brought out all kinds of unusual insects, here in the San Francisco Bay Area, has something to do with it. I am currently using apple cider vinegar in styrofoam cups to attract and drown them. But it's not effective enough. Does anyone in the community have any other suggestions as to how I could get rid of them using a natural method? moreResolved Question: What home remedies do you keep on hand?

I colored my hair yesterday using a product I've used many times before. Now I have itchy welts on my scalp :( I've read about people using apple cider vinegar, baking soda, milk of magnesia, and other stuff for their scalps for dandruff & psoriasis. Some people recommend a small amount of peroxide in water and rinsing hair with that, but doesn't peroxide lighten hair???thank you! lemon juice won't lighten my hair, will it? i know it does if you put it on then go out in the sun, but what if i just wash it out after a minute as per your instructions? (and yes i do have flaky scalp, just didn't mention it at first cuz some people on here are MEAN!) moreResolved Question: Natural remedies for Reflux/indigestion?
Hello everyone. I have daily reflux/indigestion. Today, alone, i've tried 4 tums, 1 prilosec, and 2 glasses of milk (which almost always helps). Nothing is helping. Next to apple cider vinegar, does anyone know any natural remedies for reflux/indigestion? Thanks in advance. moreVoting Question: my anxiety is causing increased heart rate. what can i do to relax?
my anxiety has been pretty intense lately, causing nausea and interfering with my daily life. i finally made a decision to see a psychiatrist but he's booked until late-oct. sometimes i feel anxious for no reason and my heart starts racing, as if i OD on caffeine or something. this in turn upsets my stomach and causes more nausea. i was wondering what can i do to relax myself? i don't have time for yoga and deep breathing crap since it doesn't seem to help. kinda looking for immediate relief, whether it'd be natural remedies or OTC medication. so far, i've tried ginger to control nausea which doesn't seem to work. apple cider vinegar just tastes awful. i'm desperate so let me hear ur suggestions! moreVoting Question: Losing weight made easier!!?
Of course, I do not know if this will work for everyone, but I found this out by accident: I have athritis and was told by my doctor to give natural apple cider vinegar a try--so I got me the organic kind and put 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a 12oz glass every morning and drank it. Not only did it help athritis pain, it also helped me lose extra weight. I was amazed. I am not on a diet but I am eating as healthy as possible with occasional pig-out days. Did you know that the body uses more calories to burn protein than carbs? So if you eat a 32oz yogurt for example, your body works harder to digest the protein(32oz yogurt has about 32g protein). Now, if you cannot stand yogurt but like milk, try a 32oz cup milk instead. Anything that has lots of protein causes the body to work harder--and you stay full longer. Instead of a snack cake, try a banana and instead of ice cream, try sherbet--but most of all, instead of sugary pops(one pop has between 150-180 calories, so beware)try sugar free pops or water. Also beware of lots of fruit juice. Most have added sugar and therefore have tons of calories. Opt for naturally sweet juices like Pineapple juice(which is also a good remedy for inflammation and muscle pain). Try grapefruit juice on a daily basis(unsaweetened). I drink about 12 oz of grapefruit juice, 12oz of pineapple juice, 24oz of applecider vinegar water and 2 diet pops a day. I eat 3 yogurt a day and I do not eat any American bread--instead I buy European Rye Bread---it has more nutrients and leaves you full because you got to chew it--it is not made with yeast and actually tastes good. I eat only turkey or chicken meat and lots of salad. I am 57 years old and weigh 150lb at a height of 5'6". I have to admit that I also exercise on an elliptical trainer at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes and take at least a 45minute walk with my doggie every day possible. Give it a try---if apple cider vinegar alone can burn 5lbs per month it is well worth it, wouldn't you think?Diet Guru: I've already gone from 255lbs to 150, I have no flab, and I have no health problems other than some athritis--which I control with apple cider vinegar and a natural supplement. I don't think that at 150 lbs I still need to lose weight.... moreResolved Question: what are some natural antivirals available in most homes (or supermarkets)?
I'm having genital herpes outbreaks and it's getting really annoying. I have almost every antibacterial product one can imagine, but obviously herpes is caused by a virus and not by bacteria. I haven't visited the gynecologist because I'm tight on finances, and plus I can't do anything about the fact that I carry the virus already... except to do whatever I can to prevent breakouts. So far I've tried treating my labia with a compress of apple cider vinegar and salt, and it stings like hell, but at least the ulcers are going away and I don't shed skin anymore when I use the toilet paper. Then I'd finish with olive oil to sooth it. However, I'd like to know if there are other alternatives that are less painful but more effective in combatting the breakout. Are there foods I can consume that would build up my resistance towards the virus? What herbs/ingredients/products could I apply to my genitals for speedy recovery during breakouts, and to keep them healthy when I'm not having breakouts? What can I do to prevent spreading the virus to my partner? (If we plan to have kids, surely we'd have to do without the condom at one point, but how do I ensure that he is safe?) Thank you for your kind and helpful answers :-) moreVoting Question: Nail fungus or growth under my thumb, what should I do?
I've managed to squeeze some yellowish puss from my thumb today. I know, its some kind of growth underneath my thumb, I think its nail-fungus. I've looked up some ways to cure it. 1. Apply vinegar mixed with water solution twice a day. 2. Apply apple cider vinegar twice a day. 3. natural herb/medicine 4. Removal of the nail I don't want to spend a month trying to get rid of it, and I just want to spend about a week or less. How do you remove the nail with ease without causing too much pain or damaging the finger? You think its safe? or worth it? and is it a good idea? or should I just stick with the Vinegar solution and try treating it. If you say go for it with nail removal, give me away for me to remove the nail with instruction on how to. keep in mind, I've never lost a nail in my life before! moreResolved Question: I was about to lose it ! i used ACV on my hyper pigmentation birthmark on my left cheek & damn it burns! help?
okay the thing on my left check that looks like a beard ... i mean if u look at my face cheeks the left looks like a beard and the other one has'nt and i look like a have beard. it was driving me crazy that it effected me emotionally for the past years of my life and i wanted to use swedish bitters but there is none in kuwait. i made researches about this Apple Cider Vinegar and yesterday i used it . so let me tell u the details and what was i thinking: = first i used cotton and the natural ACV i rubbed it on my skin and there was no pain or sting = and theeeeeen the sting and tingling started but in a gentle way =then i took one cotton and dipped it completly and placed it on the spot the i chose . i did'nt cover the whole birthmark just the spot near my near my lips . no the birthmark is not on my lips just located on the left skin. = i never had a medical pharmacy tape but i used the normal desk tape and waited for 3 or 2 hours or maybe more than 1-3 hours i dont think i can remember =still there was half a tingle . what i mean is imagine a circle cotton and strangley on half of the circle i actually felt the tingle . =after i removed it i mean i saw a strange pale grey color but the pigment was still there and i was dissapointed but i told my self dont loose hope. =i checked and looked clearly there are bumps growning. i added more ACV . lol i know u find it crazy but i was angry and seriously despereate for it to go away and i theeeen suddenly felt the sting and very painful but i held on. = i moved to anotherbut a little upper wards location of the check and strangly have felt the sting i rubbed more and more and the got the bumps and sting. if u think that my skin is sensitive actually i used the ACV before and this reacions never happened when i used it on the pimples = i saw a pink pimple on the right when just place one small one and brushed strangley the pimple and the area around it was pink flushing =after i ate some dinner and checking on the mirror i saw the facial hair and i remembered that i had an undergrowth of hair . well let me explain , when i see a facial hair like a small tiny one , i was thinking oh maybe its a new growing hair so let me take a tweezer and pull it out and when i did it was so damn long and thick . i mean oh my gosh the first it look thin and pulling it out it looks thicker then my hair on my head. = so i pulled off the hairs and i pulled the most thickest hair and to my suprise ( normally i see small hair first then pull to see big) i never saw a tiny one and this one must have been under growth. u c one of the women at the saloon said that if u see a dark spot under skin that means there is under hair growth which encourages increase of pigmentation. = so i guess i got rid some of the hair and i noticed the there's a bridge gap between my left lip and birthmark skin. that got me excited = but there is also a big problem the are dots black dots like scabs and im sure that means its burnt i mean i burnt my skin and i dont know what i actually burnt is it the skin or is the melenin . ========== and this got me thinking ACV never burnt me before and i actually stopped using it for a long time and i never used it alot only for drinking i remembered when i was maybe 3 or 4 or 5 as a age that there was a black pimple and i scratched it and it was so wet like water and as growing up a abit i use always go to beach with sun screen protection. it popped and and grew and grew as a i growed up . affecting my sociol and self esteem i then realized after using ACV that the birthmark is growing under skin like an under water for example like underwater cave u have to dig to get water as its like a stream moving under so i burnt the top layer as suddenly there was a gap as i said before like a bridge and this means im close of getting rid of is as i continue? *sigh* i guess i grossed u out a bit or more but thanks for reading im 16 yrs old and never enjoyed life just a bit i get judged alot and i went to dermatologist and they used lazers and creams and it never worked on me and i was so annoyed and jealous from other people who worked on them and i always tell myself dont loose hope just kep trying and trying moreResolved Question: What to do about underarm b.o.?
I have a problem with some underarm b.o. I have tried so many things. The last thing I have tried is to shower with Dial soap, which has anti-bacterial for about 2 months, but it has made no difference. I tried another Dial soap for men to combat underarm b.o., but it didn't do anything either. I have tried differet deodorant, and it just makes the problem the odor worse. It's better to be without deodorant or anti-perspirant than wear one. For some reason, the mix with that and my own underarm perspiration makes it worse. I have tried Toms of Maine, Burts Bee, and some watery liquid spray that's also natural, but they don't work for long either. I have tried swiping with alcohol and apple cider vinegar. I have also taken Chlorophill, which is supposed to help combat body odor. The one thing I have found to work before is Almay Fragrance Free, but it stopped working after many months twice. I don't have an issue with sweating. It's the odor, and the fragrance in deodorants makes it worse with the underarm b.o. mix. The fragrance doesn't last. I have tried without fragrance, which was Almay, but it stopped working. My underarm b.o. issue doesn't stop me from going out of my house, but it's enough to bother me. I don't know about other people, but my own family can smell it if I ask them, so I assume other people can smell it when I lift my arms. It bothers me too. What else can I try? I don't want to use botox please.I shave regularly. I tried Degree and even Old Spice for Men hoping it would be stronger. I don't have time to wash my underarm several times all day. When I work, there's no way except to take moist towellettes, but this is still very annoying. moreResolved Question: How to use Vitamin E oil, Tea tree Oil, and/or apple cider vinegar to get rid of genital warts?
I haven't seen my doctor yet but i am almost positive i have genital warts. At my last papsmear it turned out abnormal and i found out i have HPV. Though i havent had any symptoms and have never encountered warts before, this has almost reassured my self diagnosis. I have an appointment to see my doctor in a few weeks, but until then i want to try some natural home remedies to clear this up. I did some research and the three things i found were Vitamin E oil, tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar, now can someone explain to me exactly how i should apply them, which one i should use, how often to use it and so on? Also, is it safe to use these methods while pregnant? I am 23 weeks along. moreResolved Question: i was watching a vid on natural ingredients for reducing acne...?

She's 6 months old. just got her spayed TODAY (like i found about the murmur today when i went to spay her..) and I was wondering what kind of food is good for these situations? I have recently embarked on the no 'poo journey. I am on day 7 now, and after 4 days of using a baking soda concoction/apple cider vinegar rinse, and 3 days of just a plain water wash in between, my hair is REALLY greasy. I had been able to cover up the grease by using baby powder in my roots earlier in the week, but now that does not even seem to help. My hair is fairly thin, and very wavy (almost to the point of curls). In my research I've found that many no 'pooers who have curly hair do not seem to have excessive grease problems. Does anyone have any no 'poo suggestions for my hair to help limit the grease? I'd really like to try and stick this out using natural products, because I do believe that after this terrible detox stage my hair should be able to maintain itself. Please please please only answer my question if you or someone you know has had personal experience. If you haven't done your research like I have, your answer will be of no interest to me.
