I don't know where to post this. Just wondering something. I don't like my great-uncle. He is my great-uncle thru marriage to my grandfathers sister. So my great aunt is the blood relative. ANYWHO, I don't like him. I'm nice to him and act like I do all the time around everyone, but secretly I hate him. I kinda remember once as a child my Great-aunt wanting us to sleep over. We lived out of state and it was a good way to see more of them for a few days. We always slept at our other aunts houses. Well I don't remember exactly it is a little foggy because I was so young. BUT I think I remember my mom telling me and my sister to stay away from my great-uncle that he either tried to or did moleste her. And to not follow him into his woodworking craft shop.... hmmmmmm... my sister doesn't recall any of this, but she blocks out alot of stuff. It was his birthday yesterday and I'm just wondering if this was all true and if that conversation really did happen with our mother warning us of him. He's getting really old, what if I'm wrong and I hate him for no reason? LOL! Should I ask my mom about it or not?I wondered how she can be around him 2 becuase she acts so normal. Okay, so this new(ish) girl is in like all of my classes this year, and we're like totally great friends now, and (seeing as our birthdays are like super close) we've been starting to plan out a cool party, and although our birthdays are in July we both agreed that it would be best to celebrate before school's out and everyone leaves town. She already has a gift for me... and i still have no idea what to get her! Shes really into video games (bioshock2 i know) unknown alternative bands (CashCash... but those guys kinda rock) and despite all that shes still a 'normal girl' as in shes not like emo, or really nerdy, or like a prep... though why a preppy girl would play video games is beyond me.... but yeah. Also, while Sarah is really into video games, I'm pretty into crafts, origami, sewing, knitting, drawing, painting (usually digital), and that kinda stuff. If I could make her something I think it would mean a lot more than if i bought her a gift. My birthday was last week, and my friend got me this nice hoodie (which I learned that she paid way too much for)...the only issue is that I told her that I really didn't want anything, and not to get me anything, but she did anyways. Which was sweet of her, but I really didn't want her to, and now I feel like I have to get her something for her birthday too. But my family is really struggling with money right now, so I want to get her a gift that's inexpensive (10 dollars or under), but that shows that I put some thought into it, and that shows that although she's my friend, I really don't feel the need to go overboard with gifts. (I didn't have a party this year, and I can't make it to hers, so I usually don't exchange gifts with someone unless I'm going to their party, unless they're a really close friend) So what should I get her? She told me that she wants money or gift cards but I would feel cheap just giving her a 10 dollar gift card to somewhere, and just giving her 10 dollars in cash would just be weird. I want to make her something homemade, or find something inexpensive at a store, but I don't know what...we aren't really best friends or anything, so I don't have many photos of us together that I could put in a scrapbook or something. And she doesn't really have any interests or anything...she doesn't wear nail polish or makeup, really, and she's not into any sports or crafts or other activities, and she doesn't really seem to like any particular type of music or artist, so that kind of rules out getting her a CD or something. (I know this is advanced. Thank you Your Baby Can Read) Math- knows all addition facts and most subtraction. Has them memorized, not just able to count on his fingers. Science- we've done all the basic weather, cause/effect, and natural science stuff. (ex. made a barometer, tornado in a bottle, how do plants eat, classification, that sort of thing) Spelling- can independently spell words like computer, president, and terrible. Also has a basic understanding of government, fair handwriting, and we're doing some work on other cultures. I try to develop critical and logical thinking where ever possible. We do arts and crafts, swimming lessons, play dates and all the other normal things for a child that age. In all, we spend about 2 hours a day on schoolwork, broken up into 15-30 minutes at a time. I don't really have anything to compare this to, but we've looked at some kindergarten and first grade curriculums for next year and it seems we've covered all or most of what is offered with them. So I'm wondering if there's a problem with the curriculum I'm looking at or if my son is somewhat advanced. more

I'll be having my daughter's first birthday party soon. The only kids invited will be her siblings and five cousins who are aged between three and twelve. I need something to do to entertain the kids a bit. It will be all family and we will have a meal and cake of course but I'd like to do something to keep the kids busy. In the past when the kids were all younger we'd play all kinds of fun party games. The thing is now they are getting older where they think they're too cool for a lot of things. So I need some things that would appeal to different age groups. The other big problem is the place I rented isn't very big so I don't have a lot of room for running around (which is why I wanna keep them busy!) Any ideas? I'm trying to come up with some kind of craft thing but am at a loss for that too.Should probably add that the majority of the kids are boys ages 6 to 12. Resolved Question: I have some questions about my daughter's upcoming 4th Birthday party...?

I am having my daughter's 4th Birthday Tinkerbell/ Peter Pan Birthday party at a place called Toddle Town. It is basically an indoor playground that is specifically for toddlers. My daughter has cerebral palsy and cannot walk. Everything I find online lists all these fun games and crafts to do. Is it okay if I don't do structured games and crafts and just let the kids run wild and play? I did plan on giving the boys pirate hats, swords and eye patches and giving the girls wands, wings, and pixie dust to play into the Tinkerbell/ Peter Pan theme. There is going to be at least 20 kids (all her friends from preschool) and I suspect most of the parents will stay, do I need to prepare anything to keep them entertained? For a 2 1/2 hr party, do I need to provide snacks in addition to the pizza and cake? If so, what do you suggest for snacks? I really appreciate your advice. Hello. We are deciding on a gift for my step-daughters birthday. It is on Valentines Day, But last year we celebrated it on the 15th, the year we are celebrating it on the 13th. She is turning 11. We are celebrating her birthday in San Fransisco. One reason is because I am seeing my family. Another is because we are already getting her a puppy and the breeders live close by. And it is her birthday. We want you to choose 2 gifts from this list, what we should get for her. For Christmas, she got uggs, IPod Touch, A bike and some craft kits. We spoiled her that time, but we are not anymore. We dont want to spoil her. We also are going to San Fransisco and we want you to suggest some activities we can do up there from Feb 10 to Feb 16. Thank you! Here is the list: DSI: She got a DS 2 years ago. She is out of that phase. She said it has a camera, I told her she has a camera and she can borrow her Dads flip camera or camcorder anytime. I told her she has a DS, too. Scooter: She has a bike, but she would also like a scooter. I found one that is $100 and it is fancy. It use to be $250.00. It is not electric, just the normal one. Cell Phone: She wants a Cell Phone. She wants a IPhone or an LG. I told her no to the IPhone, because it is a run for money and she has a ITouch, which is pretty similar. I told her maybe to the LG. I can trust her with it, because she uses a "training phone", she has since June and you can text and do anything, for free. After checking the "Bill" It is not that much for an LG. $35.00 a month,if it were an LG, it is free. She is tired of that phone because it is kind of retarded, you know? Laptop: She wants a laptop. She has had permission on the computer since age 3, and I monitor everything. I told her not what to do, and the laptop I maybe buying would text my phone telling me what website she visited and how many times she did, weekly. That laptop lasts and it deletes things that are not good. She wants a FaceBook because she claims all of her friends have one, but I told her maybe. She also wants a Twitter and I said that may be yes. She said she wants a MySpace and I said, no. I trust her and she has two emails. One for important stuff and one for entertainment stuff. Converse: She has like plenty pairs of converse, uggs and crocs and now she is asking for another pair of shoes. She wants brown converse, I said no because the pair is $75 and she has brownish blackish converse. I said NO, again, because she still fits fine in ALL of her shoes. I dont know if I should or not. It is her birthday. I also want things you can do on a Saturday and please tell me the best restaurunts down there that are family friendly, cheap and where walk ins are allowed. My daughter who will be turning 5 wants a panda bear themed birthday party. She always likes to do a craft at her party and I am looking for ideas that will suit 8 5 year old girls. I want to be able to invite all the girls in her class, 8 of them and want to make it fairly budget friendly. I found a panda skin to stuff your own panda but by the time you buy the panda, the stuffing, a crown to decorate and the tutu for the panda, it ends up being about 12 dollars a kid which for 9 total kids gets expensive pretty quickly. Okay so its almost my 10th birthday and i wanna have a sleepover with a few friends and i saw this answer on a question earlier and i think i wanna do that, it seems fun and if you have any other ideas for it that would be aweosme! Heres the answer below! Colors such as chartreuse, pink, white and bright blue would make a great color scheme for this party. Colors such as pink, lavender and blue go good together too. But really really it's up to the party girl and her favorite colors. Get the solid colored supplies at the dollar store. Set the party up into stations with a helper at each station. Nails, Facials, foot soaks, make-up and hair. I would only select three stations. Be sure to have a fresh washcloth and hand towel for each guest. Adding a more traditional spa experience with face masks with cucumber slices placed on the eyes and serve refreshing spa water - water, lime and cucumber- is something the girls think is really cool. Tell the girls to bring a robe. One of the party favors could be a cute hair tie that they can use during the party to move their hair away from their face. Until all of the guests arrive, provide a large sheet of poster board and markers for the girls to create a giant card for the birthday girl. Once everyone has arrived, you can divide the girls up to begin the "spa rotation" moving from station to station. If you are using face masks, allow the girls to do this all at once. Apply the face mask, lay into a circle on the floor and place cucumber slices on their eyes...Ahhh so relaxing! At the party the girls also created bath salts and body glitter. For bath salts you need: Epsom Salts (pharmacy) Soap fragrance drops (craft store) Soap Dye (craft store) Zip-loc baggies Label stickers and markers Before you mix the salts have the girls design their own label for their bag. Create an appealing, relaxing name and then decorate the label as well. Then place 3/4 - 1 cup of Epsom salts into the baggie. Pick a color and add a few drops of color and scent. Seal the bag and mix it up. For body glitter you need: Aloe Vera gel Small travel cosmetic container with a screw top lid Fine polyester glitter (craft store) Blank labels and markers wood craft sticks for stirring Have the girls design their own label for their container. Give their body glitter a fun name and decorate the label as well. Fill the container about 1/2 to 34 full. Sprinkle the glitter into the aloe gel until the desired effect is achieved. Mix with wooden craft sticks. Be sure to take plenty of pictures. If it's possible to send a picture home with each guest, that's always fun. more

I always help my mom plan my little sisters birthday party every year, and this year, we're running a bit behind! Haha. So, I've been looking on birthdaypartyideas.com and found one that my sister and I like, but she isn't sure if her friends will like it, and I havent brought it up to my mom yet. Haha. So, here it goes: It would be a vintage couture themed party, very audrey hepburn-esque. Lots of black and white stuff. We would tell all of the girls to wear denim on the bottom (either skirt, shorts, or jeans) and a white or black solid shirt on top. When they first arrive, they will go through "hair and makeup" (I'm in high school, so I'd have some friends come over and help). My sister got a makeup palette for xmas, so we'd use that. And for hair, he'd just have a straightening and curling iron. There's going to be about 10 of them, so it shouldn't take too long. Then, they would each take turns, 2 at a time, doing a "photo shoot." We live in a nice area with lots of bushes and flowers and a lot of green stuff, so we can make it really pretty. I took photography lessons when I was younger, so I know how to make the pictures have cool effects and stuff too. Haha. While each group of 2 is doing the photo shoot, the rest of the groups will be doing a craft. They will each get a piece of construction paper (in black or white) and decorate it with glitter glue and pictures cut out of magazines and stuff! At the top, it will say "Breakfast @ [girl's name]," which my friends and I will pre-print on there before the girls come. When they're all done with the crafts and pictures, then we'll have a "couture challenge." We'll have a white shirt (largest men size they have at the t-shirt store) for each girl. They'll each have sequins, ribbons, flowers, glitter glue, sissors, etc. to make their shirts into a dress to fit them (the older girls can help them and teach them how to sinch the waist with a ribbon). Then, we'll have a run way going down our drive way and my friends and I will take more pictures. Then, my mom (and friends moms? at least one. not sure yet) will judge the dresses and give awards based on "best in show" "most original" and "most wearable". We might have a sleepover too, not sure. But for the party favors, I was going to go to Bendel's and get some hat boxes, or just get some from the craft store and fill them with each girls best picture in a frame from the dollar store, their dress, their poster, and the rest of their pictures. I got a Samsung Reclaim for my birthday a couple of months back, and i have been looking into covering it in jewels(the cheap, craft kinds you get at a craft store). Well, they finally have hard cases for the Reclaim so before i actually purchase a case and cover it in crystals does anybody have a picture of what a reclaim covered in crystals would look like? The roses are different colors and, have beautiful and exotic fragrances. I was walking with my mother and father and I felt pain and tingling in all of my body but mostly in my legs and arms. I couldn't take it anymore I sat down on the nearest bench and just as I sat down my mother did too by my father kept on walking because he had to get to a meeting. My mother is a tall, lean, beautiful, and powerful woman who gets her way if she wants it and my father is a brave, strong, handsome, caring, and a just king. My mother just said something but I couldn't hear what she said. "I don't know! I just hurt and tingle everywhere in my body and I have felt the need to fly everywhere lately!" I said. Right after I said that a magical shower went over me for about two seconds, after the shower was a dragon and at seeing this transformation my mother screamed for my father then fainted. My father came with armor on and a sharp and beautifully crafted sword in his hand then saw me and was taken by surprise then he saw my mother lying down on the bench. He started attacking me with anger and malicious. He parried, lunged, and charged at me while I jumped, ducked, and counterattacked him with my claws. after what seemed like forever he stopped because my mother had woken up and was trying to talk to him I couldn't hear what they said but after a minute my father called a servant over, and after he got there he was trebling at the sight of me and turning paler by the second, and he told him something but I couldn't hear it. Then the servant left and my father softly was murmuring to my mother. Two minutes later the servant came back out of breath because he was running and had a huge collar, which looked like it weighed a ton, and a long chain. The servant and my father put the collar and chain on me, then the servant lead me to the castle while my father supported my mother on the way to the castle! Just then I woke up all hot and sweaty because of the dream and still in the dark and cramped closet. I then thought "Wow, that was odd*!" I slightly moved my eyes closer to the vent, which I could see if Silvey and the guard were still guarding the door. I saw a FULL GROWN MOTHER DRAGON. She was sniffing the place where I was just doing my work! I looked to were I last saw Silvey and the guard and THEY WERE GONE! Now I was truly scared because if the dragon were to find me I’ll be dead in about five seconds flat! Just then my mother and father came into the room and said “What do you want?" in dragon.
