Resolved Question: What is the etiquette around sending a gift and wondering if they got it?

I mailed a package overnight mail to my friend, so that she would receive it by her 40th birthday. Thing is, I didn't have signature confirmation (i did insure and track it online). The post office says they delivered the package on time, but I haven't heard from my friend that she actually got the package. I am worried that it could be taken from her front stoop before she got home from work or something...it was an expensive gift. I did text her saying happy birthday and I hope she got the present. My friend is turning 16 and for her birthday I couldn't figure out anything to get. Clothes and make up were rather tedious, casual jewelry was a bit out of my budget, and she dislikes gift cards. I didn't want to just give her money since it seems thoughtless and so I got her some lotion from Body and Bath works. My other friend, however, says my idea was stupid and that Gift Card > Lotion any day. And clothes as well. So I have a guy friend (NOT boyfriend) that I'm not best friends with, but we're kind of close. And to be honest, I like him, but I don't think he knows. and I don't want to let him know that I like him, not right now, at least, cause it seems a little early for that. Open Question: Any Wi-Fi-to-Bluetooth converter thing?

So I got a Nintendo DSi and an LG EnV Touch, both recently. Now, I've got Verizon, so the phone gets reception just about anywhere. The DSi only can connect to the internet when it's near a configured hotspot, however. The phone, however, has a particular feature where it can connect to another device via Bluetooth and act as a sorta modem to it, letting the other device leech off its own 3G connection to connect to the internet. The DSi, however, doesn't HAVE Bluetooth, just Wi-Fi, which the phone unfortunately doesn't have (sorta lame for a smartphone.) My question is this: is there some cheap, compact little pass-through device that can pull from the phone's 3G connection via Bluetooth and spit it out to the DSi over Wi-Fi by acting as a hotspot? I'd prefer something that can fit in ny pocket and is relatively cheap, since my birthday's coming up (March 1st) and I'm looking for gift ideas from my parents. more

Open Question: Complicated Relationship need gift ideas for a girl.?

So me and my ex girlfriend broke up (of 2 1/2 years) because of something i said about her, it put her down, in which i accidently said "sex wasn't what i expected", and so she took it as a way of me saying she was bad in bed. This made her really self conscious about her self and we broke up because of that, because she felt that it wouldn't work out if she never wanted to get physical with me again. And so i always tried to win her back, and she said no, and eventually after like 2-3 months of fighting and telling me it wasn't going to work out because w/o the sex, it was more like a friendship, i convinced her that it would work if we just gave it some time for her to forget and forgive me for what i said. she told me to just give her some time apart, and just give it some time till she gets over it. we're not really together, but we're still kinda broken up. im curious if i still get her a gift?
