We both agree that things were very good and that we liked each other, however recently we ran into a lot of frustration which just drove us both crazy. I always did my best and even went further to prove to this girl how much I liked her and was committed to our relationship (got her flowers 5 times since October, always was driving an hour to go see her, paid for almost everything, nice restuarants, for Christmas $265 jacket, card, and chocolattes, on birthday took her out and got her a teddy bear, card, chocolattes, and the big suprise was a $1600 14k pink gold necklace with an amethyst pendent which was surrounded in chocolatte and white diamonds). See told me that she wanted to break up on 2/9 and will be send the necklace I bought back, however I think she just doesn't know what she wants. So should I make any more effort...I already told her that I want to make it work, that she needs to trust me, and that some space would be good for the two of us right now. Hi, I just get a dell windows 7 desktop for my birthday, I've only ever used laptops with wireless internet before and I really don't know what I'm doing... I tried to google this and it came up with something about a wireless network card and I don't even know what that is. I've tried going to Network and Sharing Centre > Connect to a Network and nothing has come up and I've tried creating a Network but when I do that it automatically only searches for a wired connection. It says connections detected and I can find the Manage Wireless Networks page but all it says is Wireless is not currently enabled and I can't find where I need to enable it so pleaaaase help! Okay so its almost my 10th birthday and i wanna have a sleepover with a few friends and i saw this answer on a question earlier and i think i wanna do that, it seems fun and if you have any other ideas for it that would be aweosme! Heres the answer below! Colors such as chartreuse, pink, white and bright blue would make a great color scheme for this party. Colors such as pink, lavender and blue go good together too. But really really it's up to the party girl and her favorite colors. Get the solid colored supplies at the dollar store. Set the party up into stations with a helper at each station. Nails, Facials, foot soaks, make-up and hair. I would only select three stations. Be sure to have a fresh washcloth and hand towel for each guest. Adding a more traditional spa experience with face masks with cucumber slices placed on the eyes and serve refreshing spa water - water, lime and cucumber- is something the girls think is really cool. Tell the girls to bring a robe. One of the party favors could be a cute hair tie that they can use during the party to move their hair away from their face. Until all of the guests arrive, provide a large sheet of poster board and markers for the girls to create a giant card for the birthday girl. Once everyone has arrived, you can divide the girls up to begin the "spa rotation" moving from station to station. If you are using face masks, allow the girls to do this all at once. Apply the face mask, lay into a circle on the floor and place cucumber slices on their eyes...Ahhh so relaxing! At the party the girls also created bath salts and body glitter. For bath salts you need: Epsom Salts (pharmacy) Soap fragrance drops (craft store) Soap Dye (craft store) Zip-loc baggies Label stickers and markers Before you mix the salts have the girls design their own label for their bag. Create an appealing, relaxing name and then decorate the label as well. Then place 3/4 - 1 cup of Epsom salts into the baggie. Pick a color and add a few drops of color and scent. Seal the bag and mix it up. For body glitter you need: Aloe Vera gel Small travel cosmetic container with a screw top lid Fine polyester glitter (craft store) Blank labels and markers wood craft sticks for stirring Have the girls design their own label for their container. Give their body glitter a fun name and decorate the label as well. Fill the container about 1/2 to 34 full. Sprinkle the glitter into the aloe gel until the desired effect is achieved. Mix with wooden craft sticks. Be sure to take plenty of pictures. If it's possible to send a picture home with each guest, that's always fun. more

My 12 year old Stepsons cries and shuts down all the time? I have been with my wife since my step son was 3 years old. Since then he has always had social issues interacting with other kids and adults. He does not talk to other kids unless the ice has been broken for him to talk and become friends. The teachers say he has a lot of friends at school, but when he comes home he talks to none his friends and never wants to hang out with anyone. When faced with any sort of decision making he shuts down and cries and he can’t tell you why….”I don’t know why I’m crying”. For years we have been concerned but did nothing in fear that seeing a doctor would make it worse. Now it has gotten to the point where other kids laugh and make fun of him because he cries sometimes when someone asks him a question. Example: last year for his birthday we asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday party, he said “I don’t know”. Well the previous year we took a bunch kids laser quest and they all had a blast, and it was nice to see him interacting with other kids. Anyways, we gave him a few days to think about it, and asked him again. The same thing “I don’t know”. So I then decided to make up 4 cool options that I knew he and his friends would enjoy. We gave him the four options on cue cards with one blank one for him to make his own option if he didn’t like any of the four provided. Two days later we called him into our room to ask him if he decided he wanted to do, all he could do was stand there and cry. When we asked him why he was crying, “I don’t know” he would say over and over He couldn’t give us an answer. He didn’t want to do any of the suggested ideals nor did he want to create his own (which is fine) but yet he could not tell us why, HE REALLY DIDN’T KNOW…. It really is strange because for years I have tried to look for a pattern that triggers this (not enough sleep, too much sugar, stress, pressure, lack of attention) and I have been unable to figure this out. So we decide to go see a Doctor and explain. The Doctors say its social anxiety and that we should put him on Prozac and or see a therapist. We are strongly against Prozac for a young child especially after reading the suicide rate in children on Prozac. We tried a therapist but he too was unable to get our child to open up. He would just sit there and cry when asked questions and say “I don’t know” My question is, now what? Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this or any similar cases in other children they have seen? We are lost and concerned and Please don’t get me wrong, this is a good kid who does well in school and loves his family, brother and sister, but once or twice a month has incident like the example explained here. My wife has been staying at her mother\'s home, since 1 year & 2 months.We've become parents of a 1 year boy.She created a dispute that she wanted to change the name of the child. I hesitated in the begining, as the new name change certificate would bear "ALIAS" name in it.Her family cut off all relations with us & we were even not invited to my wife's younger sister's marriage & also in the marriage invitation card my wife had mentioned her maiden surname [ surname before marriage ]My wife or her family did not responded to our phone calls, letters or emails in approx. 10 month time. Then we approached personally in Nov.2009 & after that I had changed the name & given the new name certificate. But now my wife says she does not want to come back, as she blames me that why have I gone to her relatives place to talk all about the matter.I had been to some of her relatives because when we tried to contact them, they did not responded, so I asked her relatives to solve the problem. I have appplogized several times with my hands folded, even begged & asked, if she likes I will touch her feet also, but please end this dispute. But she wants divorce now. I cannot even meet my son, as her family takes away my son, when I go there to talk. They have insulted me & our relatives many times. My wife & her family had asked me to bring divorce papers & they will sign it, as divorce by mutual understanding. As asked, I had given them a draft to read, as I thought if my wife does not love me then how can I make a place in her heart forcefully or even by applying law I bring her back, she will not remain in peace, as she hates me. I "purge" Things just because I don't like clutter. I create the clutter, then grab a bag, toss it in, tie it up, keep it for a while, then throw it away a month later without looking threw it because I don't want to deal. I have gotten rid of so much stuff that I really shouldn't. I don't have a lot of keepsakes from my 3 children because I don't want to be a "pack rat" & I am beginning to feel bad about it, but I cannot bring myself to save anything. I don't even bring mail in my house, i go straight from the mailbox to the garbage can, bills, christmas/birthday cards, etc. I don't want any of it in my house. I have maybe 3 pictures from my childhood. I am so afraid of "stuff". I give it away, throw it away, tell myself, "if I really need it, then I'll buy another". I even forget that I've thrown something out and go to look for it and get so frustrated, and swear that "it's around here somewhere". I wish I could figure out why I do this or what is it that I'm doing. more

There was a problem with a purchase I made on neweggmall.com, and long story short, I ended up having to call their 1800 customer service number and give them my Credit Card number as well as its expiration date. They have my name, billing address, as well as my birthday, I think,through my neweggmall account (I had to create one to make a purchase and track it). The person on the found sounded a little shady and unprofessional, but then again, I realize it isn't Walmart or something. Resolved Question: I have a few questions for self employed photographers?

I'm taking a computer class at school, for one of our projects we have to create a business. So I have to pick a job that I would like to start, write a report, and make up some advertising. I picked being a photographer for my project because it is something I am interested in and I figured this would be a good opportunity to learn about it. Anyways my question is: How much do photographers typically charge for weddings, birthdays, family events, portraits, and kids sports events? (things like that) How much do supplies cost (paper and ink) and How much should I buy at a time? And is their anything else I need to know about being a self - employed photographer? And this one is a bit off topic but still has to do with photography. I was asked by a teacher of mine if I could take a family portrait for them and pictures for a christmas card, she said she'd pay me and I was wondering what I should expect, and what I should do? (This is my first job) I have a Canon Rebel XS, a tripod and photoshop. The pictures will be taken out doors and the photos will be of my teacher, her husband, and their son. Here's the story: I was raised by parents who believe that life begins at the moment the zygote is created. After about six or seven years, that really came into play. I was a year (or two) older than my peers (or so I believed), and (sad, I have to admit, but I was a kid) I loved the attention that got me. Even as I got to realize the date on my birth certificate didn't really jive with the age I was telling everyone and even after my parents told me that their ideals aren't generally accepted...I kept up with the lie. I started telling people I was born a year earlier than my actual birth date, even denying the fact that my age gap with my peers was attributed to the differing ideas about the start of life. Now I'm in high school, and even though I don't dare to lie to authority figures who have access to my records...my peers still believe I am older. I know I should have said something years back, but I was a kid and saying some seemingly white lie just didn't seem very serious at all. These are my friends who have grown up with me over the years (I only moved once when I was young). I really want them to know the truth; I feel so weird every time my birthday rolls around and all my birthday cards have the wrong age on them or when people say "Did you hear she's like a year older than everybody?" and make a big deal out of it. I'm totally not looking for a way to dig myself even deeper into this hole; I want out. Is there any way I can tell my friends without them assuming that I'm some compulsive liar and suddenly distrust everything I say? I don't want them to look at or treat me differently because of an irreverisble mistake I made during a time when Britney Spears was still considered cool by the tween population. I have written many letters like this question and considered sending them to my friends, but I feel like I can't do that because I blatantly and deliberately lied about my birth year when I knew the truth. This whole fiasco has just escalated to the point where I have constantly keep up with it and I just can;t do it. My peers are the judgemental type and I considered waiting this out until college where I can begin anew but I'm just so sick of my own lie and I know just esaping to college is not a solution...Help?By the way, I think I phrased my question wrong... So, he did the breaking up, which means normally I wouldn't get the guy a present... BUT he went all out for my birthday, and we are stayed very close friends after we broke up. Voting Question: Caught my boyfriend of 1 year in a lie the day before my Bday, he did nothing for my Bday, what should I do?

my bday is oct 29. on oct 28, i caught him in a lie about getting a hotel room with his sister. This hurt really bad but i was trying to work through it. We have a good relationship minus his inability to communicate. weeks ago, i tried addressing his communication issue with him openly and let him know that i needed him to be more open with me. Later he told me that when i caught him in a lie about this hotel room that he lied because he felt it wouldent create issues. (i dont create issues and i'm very open and not jellous). So confused why he lied but our relationship is important to me so i tried to make it work. Friday we made up and agreed we would move forward, however Thursday I didnt talk to him (birthday) he did leave me a voicemail the night before and send me a text at midnight saying happy birhtday. Honestly, i was so upset i had my phone off as i needed time to cool off from his lie, we had not yet made up yet and although we didnt talk on my birhtday, we talked on friday night and made up. So my girlfriend's birthday is this weekend and she is feeling pretty down this week (and the idea of getting older isn't exactly helping her mood - although she's not that old). Anyway, I need help coming up with something to do for her. We are both outdoors people and definitely refuse to "grow up"! We don't do the whole card and gift exchange mainly because 1) we don't support a lot of the commercialism of society (ya ya I know what you're thinking 'damn hippies') 2) we're shitass broke anyway and 3) it's just way more fun doing something thoughtful, intimate and creative - however makes it harder. For example last year, she had just moved to Vancouver from Ontario and was totally missing all the fall colours and leaves from back home. As I became wiser with time, the intensity of my desire to purchase trends and capitalist name brands has grown. But my disdain for consumer culture has consistently existed in my heart. Only recently have I refrained from the outsiders’ sense of security in the form of conformity. I am an introverted creature without a pack to support me but demonstrate creativity in survival skills. The final dimension depicts a celebration of my advancement in life. As a young man, I am agitated that my parents granted me awards fathomed as “Birthday presents” for my ailing accomplishments. If I were the arch-nemesis of the superhero encrusted on the ornamental table cloth, currency would not be a desire. In other words, life would be neither longing nor agonizing if your antics “did not make sense.” Therefore, I soon conceived that I would be following in the footsteps of the Joker. The Joker’s superficial charm, lack of empathy, and failure to plan ahead position him as the most admirable criminal mastermind of a fictitious existence. When I was three years old, as displayed by the number of candles upon my cake, I viewed Batman as a symbol of hope. Along the years I grasped the judgment that Bruce Wayne was an over-privileged billionaire whom was able to demolish the weak and defenseless poverty-stricken citizens with his wealth. As I viewed the films Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, both pieces convey highbrow neglect toward the homeless through justifying abuse, and glorifying their downfall. My parents could not fathom that I would idolize an individual of insanity. They were too abstracted in the photograph to understand my inner wolf within sheep clothing. As my bitterness for humankind grew, I started talking, dying my face, and exhibiting horrid mannerisms of the Joker. I started to possess an over-obsessive domination of his influence over mine that one would find irritating. I exhibited his traits in every aspect of my course. Finally, I created a humorous concern for my behavior as I bestowed joker cards among my peers. I felt unstoppable. My existence was majestic under the shell of an angry dog let off the leash. But it would not last forever. Being engulfed in his character gave me a parallel perspective on life. It taught me that life has no meaning, material possessions are worthless, and there is no reason to fear others since everyone, rich or poor is like a pawn in a chess game. I was convinced that they could not hide behind their luxurious cosmetic treatment, flamboyant attire, social superiority and unearned blessings. They were still a human body. Growing up I have been inspired by many aspects of potential career opportunities from policing to skiing instructing, but my heart lies with art and design. As a young child I was influenced by an artistic upbringing, on a typical afternoon my family and I would create paper maché balloons and decorate them the next day with paints. Together we’d create cards for Birthdays, Christmas and Easter for friends and family, although at the time, I’d just enjoy the thrill of it like most small children would. But, as I grew older, I started to appreciate different styles of art, from photography to relief forms and even films, which is another passion of mine. Taking GCSE Art at school was just one step of many for me, but I felt we just touched the surface of the most popular forms of art, so I decided to take them further and I began to stay behind after school to experiment with different medias with my art teacher. My most memorable moment was producing print after print of monoprints; I loved not knowing how your design would turn out and the anticipation that arose whilst peeling back the paper to reveal it was great. Along with Art I was also part of the crew for Global Rock Challenge, a popular dance competition that my school entered annually, as part of the crew, I’d help design and create the set required for the stage performance. My favourite year was when our theme was ‘Inspiring Artists’, which consisted of Andy Warhol, Edgar Degas, L S Lowry, Edvard Munch and Pablo Picasso, myself and the rest of the crew hand painted each set design, which was a copy of one of the artist's most inspiring pieces, was such fun in emulating. After leaving school I started at Barton Peveril College and took Art Graphics as one of my subjects, within a few months of the course I knew that I wanted to continue learning about this course or something similar in university. One of the coursework projects was to produce a clothes tag and t-shirt logo design, this I enjoyed thoroughly as I really got l into the concept of producing a clothes company’s label. On this course, I was introduced to Photoshop, something I had never experienced before, yet it was an exciting event. Throughout the year my confidence in using Photoshop to create some of my projects grew significantly, and I became confident enough to produce pieces solely on Photoshop. Moving onto my second year at college, as well continuing Art Graphics I took up an AS Digital Photography course where we learnt the ins and outs of how to use our Digital SLR Cameras to the best of its ability. With Digital Photography and Art Graphics I started to combine my knowledge of both to advantage myself in each subject. I believe that studying an Art and Design Foundation Diploma will broaden my knowledge even more so, as I consider that this course will be the most important year of my studies so far. At present, I am not one hundred percent confident in what course I would like study at University and this is another reason why I would like to apply for this course as I know at the end of it I will discover which course I would wish to study. Other than art my other hobbies include going to the cinema, as I am also a Film Studies student, and I feel that film is another form of art with the cinematography, set design, lighting and art direction. I really appreciate a quality film and I have many films that I love to watch and just to name a few; Amélie, The Girl With The Pearl Earring and Let The Right One In. I also love to ski and in my free time I enjoy going to Southampton Sport Centre’s Dry Ski Slope and I often go to the Swiss Alps too. I believe that my personal qualities are that I am congenial as I can work well with others yet I can also work very well on my own. Okay, so for the past seven or eight questions, I have been asking more questions about my sexual activity. This time, it is completely different. I am a freshman in college, and while I thought I would be happy here, I'm far from it. My mother's birthday was on Oct. 9, and my upcoming trip to the city to visit my boyfriend of 17 months was on the way, as well as my midterms and several papers that were due. In the process, I forgot to get my mother a card. Stupid move on my part, yes. But as for the response? My mother spent several hours saying that she created a spoiled brat, pointing out that maybe she shouldn't have had me, and saying everything that meant she hated me without saying those specific words. Today's little escapade (hearing all the stuff about the birthday tenfold) made me so upset I vomited twice. I don't know what to do. And although it may sound pathetic, I need my parents together and for me to stay on their good terms. I am attending a good college, where the tuition is expensive, and at this age, I am forbidden to take out loans (I am under 18, so I can't be independent yet.). I am throwing a surprise party for my husband next weekend. It's a milestone birthday so I want some way to commemorate the party without being silly. I thought about the t-shirt or poster board sign or greeting card that I've seen before at these parties that guest sign while waiting for the guest of honor but the poster board is too big for everyday use or viewing and the card is boring lol. So I thought about doing what I have seen at a few weddings and parties recently. A scrapbook type book is used and each guest or couple fills out or signs their page with well wishes and takes a polaroid pic and sticks it to the page....thus creating a scrapbook guest book. Something that can be easily displayed and harder to destroy than a poster or greeting card. My dilemma is how to do it without being froo froo. Most of the guests are non crafty men so I don't want them to be put off by the idea and not participate so I thought a plain page book will be better than a standard decorated scrapbook type book with special paper and stickers and so on. What do you think? Yay or Nay on the whole idea. I know my husband will love it and look at it often throughout the years,,,,,,but I'm nervous the guests won't like it and ignore it more
