When I was younger, I had to do all these ritual things so the next school day would be a good one. TYhe next day, then the day would be alright. If I realized that night that I did one little thing wrong with my rituals, if I messed up or something, the next day would be horrible. It felt awful doing it every night, but at least I was free on the weekends. Then something started a couple years ago to me, on my birthday. It was something that made me have to urge to touch my own fingers on both and my hands back and forth too many times a day. The older I got, until present time now, I've been having the horrifying urge to touch everything, the sides of the walls that I feel as if I could go on for hours, stepping on the four squares by the kitchen door, touching the corner of the counter forever, and way too many more. At night then I make myself read the exact same book all night until it's 12:00 am (12:30 on weekend days), then I look at my closet door 8 times, then I turn around. I still read my book for another 15 minute, then I pray to not have nightmares of the things I'm terrified of (it's been happening a lot lately), then I can lay down and sleep. But I still have to check my clock to see the time every couple of minutes for some reason. And this stuff goes on forever, I've even begun to start having to step on some certain part of the school's floor when it's home time or touch each side of the all, or a part of the door, anything. It's not just on school days like when I was younger. It's every year. Also, a year or two a go, I was terrified that I was gong to get diabetes. I kept thinking about it forever, worrying myself, but then it went away. Then, I started to get scared of getting cancer. It is still happening to me now, but then I became horrified getting any illness, and when I found out about the.. swine flu, I was becoming so scared and worried of getting it that I was crying everyday and looking stuff up on the Internet so much that my parents threatened to ban me from using the laptop for a year. This is still happening to me now, and I just can't stop. I also have a ritual of washing my hands like a surgeon would do after performing operation, all the way up to my forearms. I use to much soap, and then have to rewash just my hands again. My hands are turning chapped and looking pink and rough now. I am stubbing my toe and they are turning purple because I am making myself step on everything a million times a day. Please, please help me. I have to take Oil of Oregano three times a day when it's school, because so many dang kids are getting sick there, and I have to use the Personal Zapper (if you know what that is) for an hour every night. I think my mom was noticing my actions, because last week I checked the History on my computer and she was searching 'OCD in children', bu my Dad must have been notcicig it too, because he threatened to keep me in a place for a week to get proffessional help. But my mom told him that it wasn't my fault, lately she has been acting angry at me for my obsessive-compulsive behaviour. I'm just so terrified of getting sick and doing all this stuff. If I don't do it I feel like I'm going to scream or pull a limb off. I really don't want to go to a doctor. I'm so confused on what to do. I'll be thirteen in a couple of days. This past month my boyfriend and i have been together for a year. We never had any problems in our relationship but lately for the past three months i feel like we have grown apart. That is my fault because i have been so busy with school, family birthdays, my volunteering program and job searching. What I'm trying to say is i do not believe he is the guy for me. At my volunteering program i met a guy and for some odd reason i was so attracted to him when i first laid eyes on him and this rarely ever happens for me. It's so strong that whenever i am around him i get really "middle-school" nervous. At one point when i was having a brief conversation with him i broke a plastic cookie tong! I've only been lust-at-first-sight once and that was with my first love.Every time we see each other he always seems to flirt with me and pick on me and i can't stop thinking about him. So everyday for the past month I've been working and getting to know the new guy. We have so much in common: he loves kids, he's so free-spirited, wears whatever is comfortable, he grew up in the same area i did, and has a sense of humor. With my boyfriend he is nice to me but he has issues with meeting my parents (he's never properly met them even though i met his), he can't stand being around most kids (plus my nieces), he is so picky with what he wears, and he debates about everything. And when we first met i never had that desire for him like i did with my first love and this new guy. I made the decision to break up with him but I'm afraid i can't right away be with the new guy. Either it can be in the form of an e-mail or by text messages from internet to cell phones. They can send and receive messages straight way. In other hand the young generation mostly prefer to do chatting on the Internet. Through this chatting they can write messages and can get an instant reply. Using all these innovations children can also meet new people on-line and broaden their outlook. There is a lot of good in using the internet for educational purposes. The internet opens up a wide variety of sources that, for instance, even in 1999 were unavailable to us . If you know how to search you can find everything you need just in a crack. There are also excellent on-line free teaching web-sites that will help a child with homework, studying other languages and developing their skills. As it is a reality that advantages and disadvantages are like both sides of a coin, which usually runs parallel. So like other things internet also has some downsides. A lot of children misuse the internet. Now they only know how to google search something in wikipedia. They don’t go to the library and try to find a creditable book to look something up, or even read what they are putting down, because they can plagerize one of articles and their teacher will never find out. Children are facing some health problems also, poor eye-sight, back ache, migrane. Today’s teenagers usually prefer to spend their time on internet rather than to participating in other physical activities, so that’s why they are going to be weaker in their physical health. Moreover all this leads to different problems with parents. The Internet gives everybody freedom, but this freedom is not an advantage at all, especially for children who are almost constantly without parental control. Kids are always curious and may want to visit different web-sites which contain unnecessary information. Porn advertisements, which are almost at any page is really harmful to our offspring. What is more, they have an access to different violent videos, which can put a strain on children’s psychic. The only solution is to contact a network administrator and tell him to block the adult sites or just make sure internet is being used in our presence. In conclusion, we can see that the Internet gives children ability to access educational material and at the same time has a bad influence on them. They cannot imagine their life without it: they do their homework, develop their skills, reach out those acquaintances that they haven’t seen for ages. But kids do not realize that this is the net which can easily enmesh them with the help of porn ads and violence. And all of this is just a click away. more

Resolved Question: Contacting mother after almost 20years? Is it a waste?

My mother and I have not had the best relationship. She left me w/my Grandmother the day I was born. She popped in and out of my life until I was 8. And then, because I told my Grandmother that my mom was in her lock box (she kept a lock box in her bedroom w/money in it) she didn't speak to me until I was 16. And then I received this wonderful, heartfelt letter from her (it was like 12 pages) telling me that she loved me and wanting me to move in w/her (by this time, she had 2-3 other kids from another man..all younger then me). I didn't even finish reading it. I threw it in the trash before I left the post office. Life went on. I had my oldest daughter. Called my Grandmother to tell her that the baby had arrived and was informed that my mother was mad @ me bcuz I didn't tell her she was going to be a grandmother. I answered back "Y would I tell her. She didn't want to be a mother...let alone a grandmother!!" Needless to say, life went on again. My grandmother passed away. I was preparing to go to her funeral...and was told by my Aunt that if I attended the funeral, then my mother would not. That was the last time I had any kind of contact w/or about my mother. That was in 1999. I am now the proud mom 2 2 great daughters (aged 16 and 9). I have been thinking a lot about my mom. Wondering. I sent an email to her best friend from high school (they still kept in touch..the last time I talked to her) asking her if she knew exactly where my mom was. Never got an answer. I would really like to try and repair the relationship w/my mom. But I have no idea where to begin. I have no address. No email. No phone number. I DO know where she is living (the state) and her birthday. I was wondering several things. Am I wasting my time trying to patch this up? Am I doing the right thing for me and my kids? And WTF do I start looking for her?? Are there any free people searches tht actually give you results? more

Hi, im quite badly depressed and have been for a week today. Im 17 and a male from England. Now I just feel so down that i sometimes think about ending my life. Even now, i was just about to go to a 2nd cousins 1st birthday although i don't see that side of the family much, got ready in the car to go, then last minute i got out and didn't go. I don't even understand myself anymore. I put myself down and down, but i feel i deserve it. No body hates me as much as i do, i don't have nothing good to say about myself. Im currently doing an electrician course, it's alright im ok at it, but slow at working. Another thing i can't do right, the other days i can't even get a part time job to pay for a car, even some of my friends have cars and are driving. I want to make something of my life, perhaps a bit of fame, although im not the most confident of people and some say im shy but if i know the person im talking to, im not really that shy i don't think. Also ive been thinking about Miley Cyrus's life, and just wish i had something like that, i really like her, what's the point in mentioning her in the same sentence, im a bit of trash to her and the rest of the world. Although i like her and keep searching information and such on her. This has only been from last saturday when her party in the usa video caught my eye. I just want a good life, a bit of fame or whatever, give my family a good life, i mean who doesn't i don't know of any secret talent i have, i guess im going no where? rocky. Last Christmas discovered hub had a lady friend. After much pleading from him and soul searching tried to give things another go. He loved me etc etc. Not all easy but okish. Last week came our 30th wedding anniversary and we were both free and he did nothing apart from a string of beads bought in the market. No dinner or romance or show or anything else. I got a Macbook for my birthday in September. It has a camera built in but I can't figure out how to use it. I know it works because I've used it with imovie but I can't figure out how to take pictures with it. We bought our parakeet 11 yrs before from sharjah bird and animal market.We just had an idea on a holiday to visit birds centre and see some exotic birds.we started seeing lot of baby parakeets brought in from other markets or some breeding centre of some sort.My father had an idea of buying a parrot which rest of us didnt know about.Upon his enquiry father and mother was led into a cage where they kept baby parakeets.Mom was asked to select a parakeet,when she opened the cage from nowhere a baby parrot jumped into our hand it was our mittu.He is like a fourth son to my parents and our everything.It was March 28th when we bought him and every year on the same date we celebrate his birthday. we handfed him just like caring for a baby and when he was about 6 months old bagan to take off from ground a little by little. But after so many years in hiding, eventually you run out of food or the food turns bad or the bugs get to it before they did. But that didn’t matter, as long as they had each other thought Sophia. She still remembers the day her parents announced they were getting a divorce. It was September 11th, 2080, she was 4 years old. Her Dad, Hunter, was 34 and her Mom, Jane, was 30 when they told her about the separation. She thought she was the blame, but he mother told her it was because her Dad owed a lot of money to a company, so in order to save his family from getting hurt, he had to get a divorce. She tried to escape of that memory but somehow, it just kept coming back. As she waited for Mickael and Jordin to return she sat on her wooden chair she had kept all these years. She wanted to go outside so badly but had a feeling something bad would happen. Having that feeling, she poked her head out of the cave and saw Mickael and Jordin running back. She was about to scream their names, when she was the hideous creatures called the Gondors. She immediately took action and started packing. She took a couple of t-shirts, food and water. She put it all in her bag that she got for her seventh birthday. She left a note with a coded message telling them if they ever got away, to meet her in Pennsylvania. Sophia hated that place along with Mickael and Jordin, but even the Gondors knew that one information. They could find any information that they needed with their own gadget called The Arrival. The Arrival was a little remote control, not for television but for human brains. It detects if there are any humans left at certain places. If that piece of machine was destroyed, the humans could be at peace again. more

Hello, I am fairly knowledgeable in astrology (at least to the extent that internet and books can offer), but there is one, seemingly rare, factor to astrology that doesn't sit right with me. I suppose it's somewhere along the lines of Numerology, but not quite. I can't help but skim through "What Your Birthday Says About You" type books when I come across them in bookstores, in which each day of the year is written about with different characteristics than the preceding and following days. This would mean that each day within one sign are capable of less or more than the previous or next. This doesn't make sense to me. In a way, it's putting limitations where perhaps there aren't any. Also, certain days of the month are linked to certain characteristics (i.e.: Those born on the 1st are natural leaders and flamboyant, those born on the 12th are passionate and hardworking, those born on the 2nd and 20th are art connoisseurs, and so forth.) Beside the fact, it seems each book I read has a different description of each day. What basis do they stem from? Mine happens to match up in more than a few ways, but others I've looked up haven't matched at all and are better suited to other days of their month. Just to get a sense of how accurate these are, if at all. Feel free to look up other people you know, too. Resolved Question: if you've given up a child for adoption please respond?

I'm having a very hard time finding my biological parents. I've posted my information and the limited non identifying information on what i believe to be every free adoption/reunion site. the way my adoption was set up, my biological mother has the records sealed so tight i cannot even pay the adoption agency their usual fee for them to be opened. i've searched through the sites and nobody is searching for a female born on my birthday.......why would she do this? should i give up on my search? having run into so many road blocks in my search i feel like she's done everything in her power to never be found...i just wanted to know where i come from and for her to know that i'm ok.....Good idea! I forgot my new password or it isn't working. It took me to a page where I had to put in information that I used when I registered with yahoo. which was my yahoo ID, my birthday, my country, and my zip code. I entered the correction information (note I have never changed or updated this information for it has never changed). For 2 weeks it keeps saying my information doesn't match theirs.I sent letters to customer service and gave them my hotmail address (which isn't my alter net email I registered with them because that email is set for all the emails to go directly to my yahoo mail address which I can't access. I NEVER get an answer from them. I clicked all 4 options even the "my account has been compromised" " password doesn't work" "forgot my password" and whatever the last option was ( don't recall). I went to fix my yahoo mail account and it wasn't free. When I turned six my life changed dramatically, when I was thirteen my life went to bad to horrible. As days past after my thirteenth birthday I began to wonder to myself, “ Why am I still at the lunatic’s house when I could be as free as a bird?” It occurred to me I was afraid of standing up to the family that I used to love. They were now just a bunch of brats who always got what they wanted. My best friend was now just another enemy that I loved with a passion, but that didn’t change anything. When I was just five months old my mom died in a car accident and my dad was nowhere to be found. He wasn’t even on record as my father, but my mom told my aunt, one of my lunatics that I live with, that my father was Charlie Garson. So in that case my real name is Chrissie Garson, but I never have said that that is my true name. I always have been going by Chrissie Dearia because that was my mom’s maiden name. She got married to my dad and then one day he just left my mom and I with nothing, but a stupid note that said, “ Karen I am so sorry, but I just think that it is best for you and me if we never see each other again. Charlie.” I always hate looking at that note, but in a weird way I love it. I think it is because that it’s the only thing that I have that was my dad’s. My aunt said that my mom said that if my aunt had to take care of me when my mom died for some reason that she didn’t want me going to find my dad ever, even if that is what I want so badly. And that is what I have been doing since my sixth birthday following orders from my mom. Of course why should I believe anything that they say after what they did to me? I tried to find out about him, but came up with nothing. Maybe he wasn’t even I real person? I don’t know, but I stopped believing in dreams to find my dad just a little while after I began the frantic search to find him. When I was six I wasn’t apart of my aunt’s household anymore, but their servant. I wasn’t even aloud to sleep under the same roof as them. Melanie, one of the other many servants, was my caretaker from then on. She did everything for me. And because I was a servant I needed to know how to cook, clean, sew, build, and start fires. Melanie taught me how to do all. The first few weeks were the hardest. I didn’t know how to do anything. Now as I look back Melanie was the truest friend you could ask for, besides my best friend, Rachel. She really is the best friend that you could ask for. Then again maybe just the best friend that you could ask for if you were normal. Rachel didn’t know about my secret about being a servant. No one did except the household that I worked for, my cousin’s friends, and the servants themselves. I am afraid that as soon as Rachel knows the real me she won’t want to hang out with me because it is just too embarrassing to know someone like me, but it doesn’t bother me anymore knowing that I am never going to be as normal as I wish.
