Open Question: I need help planning my 16th birthday party with bonfire, any ideas?
This is what I have so far.. I was thinking, I could have a party at my house outside from like 6-10 and have a bonfire with 30 or so people, music playing the whole time. for food we could..Roast hot dogs on sticks. Dad on grill making hamburgers Jiffy Pop brand of popcorn that comes in a foil pan to be used over a fire. S’Mores But then I have no clue what to do for games and stuff..I was thinking flag football during the day and man hunt at night. And keep it PG!! there will be adults, and family friends there, which includes a few children(10-11 years old). it will be a boy/girl party moreOpen Question: Fun things to do at a birthday party in a hotel suite?

This is a little long, but what girl can tell a short story. Haha. OK girls, I have always been a girlie boy. My friends have always been girls. In grade school when we would line up tallest to shortest, at the end of the line it was always the last boy, four girls, me (I am a boy) and a girl about an inch shorter than me. If she wore maryjanes, she was just taller than me, and the other girls teased me a little about it, but in a sweet way. I was a very feminine boy, and I was always around girls because of my hight, in grade school I was friends with the girls. I was never invited to one of the boys birthday parties, but I was always invited to the girls birthday parties. At first I knew being girlie was wrong because I was a boy (7 years old), but at the same time, I liked playing dress up instead of baseball. At the first three birthday parties, i think i was in first grade, I briefly protested participating in girlie games, such as realy races in heels. But the mom was always sooo sweet and explained how much fun I would miss out on and that I may hurt the birthday girls feelings if I did not participate, so I played along. After three birthdays parties, and a lot of play time with the girls, dressing up as a princess at a party was as natural as walking. To the girls, I was no longer a friend that seemed out of place, and the mothers were sooo sweet and treated me like one of the girls. At first, the girls had gift bags with toy jewelry and make-up. maybe a tiera, and I got a gift bag with a mens watch and maybe baseball cards. It was sweet that the moms would go out of thier way to get me boy toys. But after I started to fit in with the girls, I got the same gift bags. My dad left when I was little, and my mom was very feminine, so when she would pick me up from a party, she would ask what I got. When I told her I got lipstick, she would ask what color, tell me how pretty it will look, and talk to me liked I was her daughter. I think if I was bigger, she would have treated me more like a boy, but all my friends were girls. When we went out, like to the roller rink, my mom hung out with the other girls moms, we even went on the annual trip to the American Girl Store for tea. I had a Molly doll. To make a long story short, I was always one of the girls. I am now 19 and am dating a boy. I am still feminine, like a masculine guy and like to make him feel like a man. At home, I am his princess. His girl. AndI like to make him happy, and will get him a beer if he is watching football. Or make him a snack. I like to take care of my man. But when we go out, all of a sudden he treats me like a guy. He will ask me who I think will win the superbowl, or something like that, even though my girlfriends see me as one of the girl and their boyfriends see me as a sissy who would rather go shopping than watch a football game (by the way, I am proud to be sissy. Lost my right to be a guy in the 5h grade when my girlfriends stood up to boy for me). So, to get my boyfriend to treat me like the princess he says I am, I am going to wear some lingerie for him I plan on walking out of the powder room just when he gets in bed (he will be suprised because I have never worn lingerie for him before) I will ask him if he thinks I am pretty. Hopefull he will say yes. I will then ask him if I am pretty enough to be his princess. (again, he is all man and has called me his princess before). Then I will tell him I love being his princess, but a princess needs her prince to treat her like a princess, my favorite flower is a star gazer lilly. Hopefully he will get the hint and start treating me like his girl and relize I need him to be a man for me. So my question is, which lingerie should I buy, sweet, or sexy? =) There are two links below. Ok ive got lots of questions so just bear with me a moment, ok so i went to my neighbors birthday party the other day (it wasnt really a party, she had a few friends spending the night and me and my parents went because weve been real good friends with the girl and her family) alright and so at this party we eat some cake this go down to this guys house (just me and the 4 other girls, my parents and the one girls parents stay at the house) and hang out there for awhile then i go back to my house and the girls go back to their house, then the next day on fb i get a friend request from one of the girls, and we end up talking on fb and exchanging phone numbers then we start txting each other, we txt and talk for about 3 days right after school, but we quite because we kinda just ran out of things to talk about but we keep txting once a week or so, now the whole time my parents dont no about me txting her, then my mom tells me tht our nieghbor, the girl tht had the birthday, well her mom told her tht the girl ive been txting likes me. again my mom has no idea ive been txting her. so i kinda figured she liked me but since she quit txting me a whole lot like she used to i just figured she enjoyed talking to me and didnt really think much of it. then yesterday she txted me and talked about how sad she was because the guy she likes hasnt talked to her in longer than a week and how she thought he was ignoring her the last few days, shes talking about me, she did txt me a couple times the last few days but i was busy and i told her tht, i tell her im sorry and whatnot, i play the game if u know what i mean, throughout all our txting sections she has talked about how i was a great guy and wasnt a jerk and how she wanted a bf tht wasnt a jerk. she said i was a really nice person, etc. and this time we talk about tht again and then she asks me if i like anyone else other than this girl i told her about and i say theres a couple of other girls i like but dont really know them well enough to seriously consider them (one of the girls im talking is in fact her) and we talk some more about other things, ok so basically ever since the nite ive met her ive liked her but ive never really seriousy considered her because she goes to another school but the more i think about it and the more me and her talk the more i start seriously considering it, now i really want to ask her out on a date. now im in the 8th grade and shes in the 8th grade and dating is new this year, ive never had a serious gf but shes had a million serious bfs it sounds like lol, heres the deal though, i dont even know if my parents would let me go on a date cause i know some parents say they cant till there 16 but me and my parents havent really talked about it at all, another thing is my parents dont even know weve been txting and talking on fb so im not sure they would like me going out with some girl ive only met a couple of times (btw they think this girl is real goofy because of how she was at the birthday party), another question if i do ask her on a date how should i tell her ive had a huge crush on her and so you think it would be akward if i asked on a one on one date (Just me and her) thanks guys :)so what would you advise me to do? moreOpen Question: fun birthday/sleepover games?

There will be about 10 kids both boys and girls at this party all between the age of 3 and 6. I have already ordered the decorations and plates and all of that stuff but I need games and activities ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.I am having the party at the park in a very large shelter and I want to turn different areas of the shelter into different disney movies. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could do that and what kinds of activites could be done in the different areas? moreVoting Question: I'm planning a birthday party...(inquire within....)?
Hi. My cousin and I are relatively close. I'm turning 13 on April 25, and she will be turning 15 on May 16. We were considering having a joint party, but she was offered the opportunity to join her friends on a cruise, and will probably be doing that instead. So now it's mot likely just me, which I'm fine with. I've done the whole movie-sleepover curcuit one too many times. I think two or threes years in a row. As a little girl, my parents were big on run around the estate, play games, goodie-bags given nonsense. Now I'm older, and I don't know what to do! I definately want a sleepover, but what to do? If it's nice, we can camp out outside in my family's tent. It fits around 5 or 6 people, which begs the question of who to invite! I gave about ten close (girl) friends, and I have room for five of them, however, I don't want to disclude anyone, bring about hard feelings, or involve drama-making pals. So that brings me down to 6 friends. There's four gals I'm sure to invite, my BFFLs. So thinking of having 5 ppl..... Next, the activity! In my town there are movie theaters, shopping centers, hair stylists, etc left and right. There's also a roller skating arena, cupcake bakery, go-karting facility, and probably more. Do you know what there is in southern New Hampshire for a 13 yr old bday party? If so, comment. For food, should I just have pasta w/ an assortment of sauces? Or should we get pizza & all American cheese sticks/fries/chicken fingers? Or should we have Thai/Chinese? See what I mean? It's so confusing. Right now, how does getting our nails done, going to a cupcake "station" and then having a sleepover? Last but not least, my family/ friends have been pressuring me for weeks about what I want for my brithday....nothing over the top. I have a phone, iPod, computer, Uggs....so what else? What would you want? What DO you want? moreResolved Question: My 14th Birthday Party?

I go to a show like every week and the next day I always talk about it. It's my 'thing' and what I love/like. theres nothing to me than the feeling of going to shows and loving bands and I get really really attached. I have a group of friends and we ALL have different interests/ Some of us sports, some of us jonas brothers and justin beiber and american idol. And i get stuff everyday for how I like bands and music and shows. Its getting so annoying and it hurts me. ITs what i like and i dont get on them for what they like. I mean if i shouted "OMG JONAS BROTHERS!" they come up with the best comebacks. and whenever i say i dont like something they say, "thats cause its not your stupid music" or at birthday parties and stuff when we play games they chose to act me out as a dumb fan girl. Is it me or should i talk to them or what? I have this one friend who always rolls her eyes at me and acts super crabby and mean at most times but others shes so nice and funny. I know they are my true friends but i only know one person whose like me and we dont talk. I dont knowwhat to do? I have talked to them about it but it doesnt stop. moreResolved Question: Coed party games/icebreakers?!? HELP 10 points for best answer?

(That aren't lame?)?
It's my first boy/girl birthday party that I'm hosting on the 27th of March. I've got the invites sent out, the menu prepared. And I'll have plenty to do during the party (Guitar Hero and Soda Pong - plus all the guests are friends with one another, so socializing wont be awkward) but being my anxious and over-planning self, I really want to have a plan B in case my guests get a little bored with what I have to offer. I don't really want to play Spin the Bottle, because like I said, everyone is friends with one another, and there will be a few couples who are going as well, and I don't want any drama. Not to mention that I'm like, one of the only people there who hasn't had my first kiss yet, and I'm not fond of the possibility that my first kiss is going to be this awkward thing with fifteen of my friends watching. So don't bother mentioning Spin the Bottle. My main concern is that the games not be lame. I was googling some games last night, but it was all stuff like Charades and Chinese Mimes. Great if you're twelve, not so great if you're fourteen and fifteen. What were some things you did at parties when you were a teenager? moreResolved Question: 3 Year Old Birthday Party games is this enough to keep them entertained?
My son is turning 3 in two weeks. He's having a Disney Cars theme for his party as well as having invited about 12 other children his age or a year older to come to the party. It's only going to be 2 hours long from 2-4 because I don't want the hassles of lunch with little ones who can be uber picky. I want to make sure that everyone has a good time and wanted to know if this sounds like a reasonable plan for a 3 year old party done at home : The adult family and any parents of kids who are invited that wish to stay will be outside on our back patio area with cold drinks and simple finger food type snacks. It's warm where we are so the weather has always been good this time of year for doing things outside. My husband's birthday cake (his birthday is the day before my son's party) will also be outside for the adults to cut into and share when we do the cake and ice cream part of the party. Most of the adults in the past that have been at my son's parties usually just enjoy sitting and visiting anyway without any added entertainment. I will probably set up the laptop somewhere outside with a slide show of my son since family members like to see that every year and people that want to watch it can and people that don't just don't have to look and can visit instead. I was also thinking of putting a couple of cars stickers on the bottom of a few plates that the adults will be using and give out some door prizes for the adults at the party (most likely copies of the cars soundtrack on CD or some kind of auto accessory like car air fresheners or no spill mugs for the car) The kids (ages 3-4) will be in our playroom area that will be transformed into Radiator Springs complete with desert look (brown tarp draped over the toy shelves, train table and my piano that are in there) and fake cactus (from green poster board) and the big size cars characters on the wall using a scene setter from a party store. I'm planning on doing some games for the kids that fit the theme of the party - tractor tipping with Tow Mater (bowling with 2 liters that will have labels replaced with tractor cut outs), tire toss with Luigi and Guido ( inflatible swim rings tossed at a target), pass the oil can (with Sarge and the hippie van character) which will be like hot potato but instead of someone being out they get a small treat if they have the oil can, silly string for after the cake and ice cream to go outside with in the back yard to celebrate the "piston cup". I also have a cars theme coloring mat with the crayons and things like that for the kids to do as a floor activity when they first arrive. I'm also doing Piston Cup shaped name tags for the kids that they will get as they become part of the "pit crew" as they arrive. (I'm only doing name tags because my son invited two sets of identical twins to his party and it will be easier on me to look at a name tag than to keep going "who are you" through the party or using the wrong name on the wrong twin. With everyone wearing them and being part of the "crew" it doesn't single anyone out and it makes them all part of the theme and party right away). We also have a cone shaped play tent that is orange that I will have out for kids to play in and that I'll hang a sign over that says "COZY CONE MOTEL" near a wall size picture of Sally from the cars movie. I also have a rug that has roads on it with a bucket of matchbox cars that I'll have out for the kids to play with while we wait for everyone to arrive. Cake and icecream cups will also be part of the party day as well. I just want my son's day to be super special and fun for him and his friends as well as fun for the adults. He has both girls and boys coming to the party and for the girls I found the girl characters from Cars to put in their party bags and to have up as well as the main boy characters from the movie so they can have fun too. All the games are no winners or losers and everyone will get a treat after each just for playing as I want this to be for fun and not about competition of winning and losing for a birthday party setting. My question being: Should this be enough so that everyone has a good time at the party with things themed around what they like to do for the guests of all ages?? I always start worrying going into the week or so before the party that I've forgotten something or that someone is going to not have a good time (which I know I can't control) or that more should have been organized for the kids to do to fill up the time- especially since this is going to be preschoolers who need lots of different things to occupy them for a party since I don't see some of the activities lasting very long.. moreVoting Question: PARTY PLANNING HELP!!?

Okay, so this new(ish) girl is in like all of my classes this year, and we're like totally great friends now, and (seeing as our birthdays are like super close) we've been starting to plan out a cool party, and although our birthdays are in July we both agreed that it would be best to celebrate before school's out and everyone leaves town. She already has a gift for me... and i still have no idea what to get her! Shes really into video games (bioshock2 i know) unknown alternative bands (CashCash... but those guys kinda rock) and despite all that shes still a 'normal girl' as in shes not like emo, or really nerdy, or like a prep... though why a preppy girl would play video games is beyond me.... but yeah. Also, while Sarah is really into video games, I'm pretty into crafts, origami, sewing, knitting, drawing, painting (usually digital), and that kinda stuff. If I could make her something I think it would mean a lot more than if i bought her a gift. So yeah... basically i need some ideas like asap, and if they could be crafts that relate to video games in any way that would rock :) moreVoting Question: Party games for teenagers that aren't lame?
In the next few weeks I'll be having my first boy/girl party at my house. It's my birthday party, in case that helps you in your answer. We're all teenagers, and we're all good friends so I think Spin the Bottle is out. (Although some of them seem pretty keen on the idea.) Anywho, I've been Googling some games to play in case the kids get bored with socializing, Guitar Hero, and Soda Pong, and most of them are pretty lame. (Games like Murder Winks, and Chinese Mimes. Great if you're eleven, not so great for 14 + 15 year olds...) I wanted to know if you could give me any game ideas that would be interesting and suitable for slightly-rebellious teenagers, not tweens. Thanks. moreResolved Question: My daughters birthday is tomorrow- any gift ideas?
She is turning 11. She is like a normal girl, you know? Her father is in Iraq, and he is coming back on Wednesday, and tomorrow is the big testing at her school. We are celebrating her birthday, really as a family on Friday. On Friday, we will have dinner, have a family party, and then we will go to her brothers school play/musical. Then we will give her our private gift at home. Then she has a big thing, the next day. What should we get for her? We are giving her a little thing tomorrow, not to leave her out. We are giving her a Pix O set, and a game of mancala. We are also giving her a Webkin. But the special gift is on Friday, what should we get her? We have some money, for anything. We are giving her like clothing, gift cards, mulah, crafts, and little things, but something special? moreVoting Question: What should I do for my 13 birthday party?

It's short.?
I found a box of my old school books and found something I wrote in year 7. I would have been about 11 or 12 years old. So, this is going back about 10 years. What do you think? Until I was six years old, I slept in the same bed as my father. And no, it was not like that you perverts. We had no choice. Firstly, we only had one bed. Secondly, my neighbourhood was very rough and it wasn't unusual for children to disappear in the night. Also, when I was two, the rats had really grown to plague proportions and had started attacking me. It was just easier for Dad to keep a close eye on me. It was just me and Dad, my so-called mother left us when I was a week old. She can rot in Hell for all I care. Apparently, she enjoyed the party life too much to worry about her own daughter. I don't miss her and rarely think about her. She did stay long enough to name me 'Angel', a real stripper name if you ask me. My childhood was a pretty happy one, despite the fact we didn't have much. But the other children I played with didn't have much either, so I never felt I went without anything. We didn't have many toys, what we did have we shared. We spent our time racing cockroaches, there were plenty of them around. Every kid in my street had a racing roach. They were dispensable, if you squished it after it lost a race, you simply caught another one. One week before my 7th birthday, Dad started earning more money and we moved to a safer part of town. I had my own bed, new clothes, toys and books and I felt like a princess. Not once, did I question Dad's new source of income. It didn't occur to me to do so. I wanted to be a good girl for my Dad and make him proud of me. But, even after making my bed every morning without being told, even after waiting for him at the corner to greet him when he came home from work and even after remembering all of my responses to DOCS that Dad taught me when they stuck their noses where they weren't wanted, it wasn't enough. On June 6th 2000, my Dad lost me in a polka game.@Remi, lol no. It isn't true. It's just something we had to write in class. I can't remember the prompt though. moreVoting Question: Having fun at a spring birthday party...have ideas?

My 14th birthday is this month..I want a mixed party (boys/girls). I love in a small town that there's not much to do in. We have the movie theater and a bowling alley. But I'm not a big fan of bowling. I hang out with skaters and have tons of friends. I kinda just wish to have a hang out at my house thing with video games and stuff. But we don't have much games they'd be interested in or anything. Maybe watch movies? I don't know. Please help. I'm throwing my husband a 50th birthday party. We've invited friends and family, many of whom have kids ages 6 and up. There won't be alcohol served, just a pasta buffet, a live band playing fun music. But I want to have something for the kids to do to....not games so much, but things to keep the occupied so they don't run around and get on everyone's nerves (including my own). I though about bringing our Wii and setting it up (it'll be held in a hotel banquet room) but we only have 2 Wii motes and most of our games are 2 player. It's a mix of girls and boys of all ages and some of them don't know the others, I want them to all fee included, not make a mess and not require constant supervision (we'll all be in the same room, but I don't want to have to break up fights, having them bothering people, etc) There are just a few that are trouble makers, the rest are good kids. Suggestions? moreVoting Question: Baby's First Birthday Party?
My daughter is turning a year old in two months and I was wanting to through her a princess themed party. I have it all planned she will have a little tiara to wear that says Birthday Princess on it and she will have the wand to hold if she wants it. However my problem is with the favors for the party. I would like to have little tiaras in the gift bags that the children will be allowed to take home however there will be little boys at her party and I know that most of them will not want tiaras so how do I do gift bags that will be appropriate for both boys and girls and what are some game ideas that children of this age can enjoy. moreResolved Question: I'm trying to throw my 14th birthday party with 20 girls or 30 boys and girls and I need good ideas?
