My group has to make a scrapbook of the 10 steps in preparing for a birthday party of Ricardo (5 years old.) We have to write 10 compound sentences (meaning there has to be connecting word and verb on each side). I had to write these really fast to show my Spanish teacher and I think there are a few mistakes. Can someone check them? We used the prederite form instead of imperfect. I am an american man in love with a honduran woman. I have known her for over a year now and we have shared a lot of history so far. we started flirting, it went to phone calls, and to talks of marriage in the future with kids. all the while, she had a boyfriend who she was having problems with. at times it was difficult to talk to her, as jealousy did rear its ugly head, and anger at her not being there at times for me. Through it all, we still remained friends, and are to this day. A few months back, she was in a situation where her boyfriends brother assualted her, and her boyfriend stood by and did nothing to protect her, he even went so far as to threaten the ending of their relationship if she called the police. She called the police and moved out. She eventually got herself a nice apartment for herself, but i admit, she was heart broken over the whole thing, they were together for 5 yrs. As this was the opening i thought we needed, i offered to be there for her and supported her emotionally as much as i could, usually by texting her, telling her she was a valuable person, that she should be respected, and so forth. As it turns out, she began to see her boyfriend again, but as she has put it, only for rides to work and laundry (she doesnt have a car and he never wants to teach her to drive). When i found out that she was around him, i canceld the cell phone i was paying for, and told her it was because i could not go back to how it was before, and that the phone was not for her boyfriends happiness. It hurt her and me, i cried. Finally i told her my feelings, that i loved her, and wanted a family with her, and she smiled a lot and told me that her boyfriend was just a friend and that she wanted to be single for a while. That hurt me, as obviously he did not have to suffer for her decision as i have to. She saw another woman show interest in me a while back and she was jealous! she even told her sister about it. Her family lives in honduras and she gave me email addresses to talk to them. Her friends have asked her why she doesnt go woith me, and she says she doesnt know, that i am handsome, that i am a good person and good friend, and if they ask her if she likes me, she smiles big and gets red faced. She tells them she doesnt have a boyfriend and they know of the situation, they are all from honduras, and nothing is a secret. She has said at work, we work together that she is single now, yet she still will not go for me. She got a new cell phone and i never asked for her number although she had mine. After a month or so, she text and called me yesterday, knowing full well id have her new number, which i really didnt want to have becuase i cannot just be her friend, i always want to tell her my heart. I saw her at work today and she seemed to avoid me a little, this after she text me and sent me a forward about someone loving me more than i think and to make a wish for that person and just love stuff. I havent text her first since having the number as im not sure if this is an invitation to begin talking again. I am supposed to go to a birthday party next month and she will be attending also, her friends said she was excited of the fact i was going, they asked if its o.k. that she go with me there while she had a boyfriend, and she responed in anger that she didnt have a boyfriend. She knows my feelings, ive done a lot for her, ive cried, we been through so much already, yet she still wants our friendship, i know she wants it, as she cannot just walk away, niether can i. What is there to do? Can you people help me on a plan of action? i love her people, even with this other guy, i see her and i love her and wish for her happiness.tell me what you think??? more
