Resolved Question: Sweet 16 Theme Help!?

Okayy so my birthday is April 26 and I have currently been planning my sweet 16, not necessarily a party (saving that for 18). Anyway here's what I have come up with so far its a bunch of ideas mixed together. Friday night me and 5 of my besties will spend the night at a hotel (consist of: swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool or hot tub, pampering, ordering food, definitely girly discussions, ect.). On saturday we will wake up, go eat breakfast at my auntie's house and a friend of my aunt who is a marykay consultant will be there and she's gonna do a facial pamper session with us, after that we're gonna go to a store (undecided) that will allow me to rent it out for a couple hourse and we're gonna have a America's Next Top Model challenge (such as: them having 6 min. to put together two outfits and model them, a make up challenge, and doing a blindfolded catwalk! They all will be competing for gift cards and that sort!) and afterwards go back to the hotel and get ready for that night we are gonna go out to eat with 6 of my male friends in downtown ATL (including my date), in a limo that will pick us up from the hotel and return late that night and spend the night with my besties again! Sooo in conclusion I have no clue what the theme of my party should be overall, I saw Sixteen In The City, but the girls are getting separate invites because of the fact they are staying the night and having a day out with me. The guys are getting separate invites because they are only coming to meet us at the hotel for the limo and the restaurant. Any ideas on what my overall theme should be? Thanksss :) more

I plan on getting a ipod for my friend's sweet sixteen but my mom says that its too much and that its the wrong gift because "its not like we live with her or anything". So far this year, I have been to 2 Sweet 16 Birthday Parties and was EXTREMELY shocked that I did not receive a thank-you note from either one. At my first party, the gifts were open there and I was thanked on the spot. For the second party, the gifts were not open there, but I was thanked as well. I was talking to the girl who had the first party and she was like, "What did you get me again?" She didn't even remember who got her what and kept confusing my present with someone else's and she only had about 5 people there! Do you think it's rude to not send a thank-you note? Both gifts were around $30. Don't you think it was rude of the girl to say it to my face that she didn't even remember what I gave her? My boyfriend and I started dating on Halloween night this year and my birthday was on December the 8th. I knew he was going to get me something because he's really sweet but I hate presents! It makes me feel horrible to accept them. Not only that but his parents love me..a lot, the consider me their daughter basically. So on my birthday I was dreading the fact I was going to get presents but happy that he actually cared. Well he got me a teddy bear that had a bracelet on it (the bracelet wasn't expensive) and a calling card, because I have a prepaid phone. I was happy he didn't spend too much until I got into his mom's car and she had bought me a $100 coat because I didn't have a coat! I felt so terrible! And I still do...Now it's getting close to Christmas and we just got out of school for Christmas break, but on the way to school they had more presents in the car! She had hand made me an ornament which was really nice I'm going to admit, but had gotten me a necklace that said 'IMAGINE' on it from Gordon's Jewelers! I feel as if I'm stealing their money! My boyfriend and I haven't been together more than 2 months and I'm getting all these extravagant gifts from his family. Oh and I got into the car after school and she had gone to the mall and bought me some school clothes. Ughh.. I don't know what to do. I've tried telling them I don't want the gifts but they say they love me and want me to have them but I feel bad about it!.. So this morning I woke up at 5am for dryland swim practice. We ran about 1 hour without stopping. The rest if the day my legs felt like jello and I mopped around school. My One best friend didn't even wish me a happy birthday and my other best friend left me for Florida. Then I failed my math test. After school another 2 hour swim practice but was super excited when it was over. When I got home my parents informed me that they had to go to a Christmas party and even though I was super tired, they made me come along. I slept on a chair for 2 hours by myself. There was no one there even in a 30 year age range from me . I went home after that to discover my mom and dad didn't even get me one gift despite my 2 page wish list. I've been with my boyfriend for seven months, and we're both 16 years old. I'm stuck on what to buy him for christmas, after i bought him everything he wanted really badly (which wasn't that much really) for his birthday a few weeks ago (ps3 games, cd, chocolate etc), and i wanted to give him something more personal for christmas, after he gave me a digital photo frame with pictures of us on it for my birthday last week, which i thought was really sweet. He enjoys music and plays the synthesizer keyboard and guitar. He has a playstation 3, but i don't fancy getting another ps3 game, as i wanted to buy something more meaningful. I was never really into birthday parties, and only had a few when I was in kindergarten or first grade. But my sweet sixteen is coming up in a few months, and I wanted to do something special. My parents are giving me an extra horseback riding lesson per week as a gift (each costs about 55$, so for a whole year that DEF adds up). I want to start riding competitively, so they figured this would help me towards my goal. I'm very grateful, but I can't help but seem sad that I'm going to wake up on my sixteenth birthday and have nothing to look forward to. MY bf and I are high school sweet-hearts. He is currently in college in another state ( 16 hours away) I'm working to save up to go to college this spring. I'm 20 ( my b-day to day) and he is 19 ( don't worry its 7 month difference no big deal) we have been dating 20 months. he is my very first bf ever last year he mind an effort to call and check on me at least once a week. but this semester it can be weeks, he has a new cell phone and it doesn't all ways get calls or text messages. I plan to tell him how i feel tonight when we chat but i jut want to hear your thoughts I feel ignored / forgotten in his life and sometimes like he doesn't really love me. i sometimes imagine him cheating on me but kn ow he wouldn't do that because after our first date i told him if he ever hurt me ( knowing that action would) i would "kick his ass" ( i was being protective of myself) i mean if he fell out of love with me i could understand but to cheat / lie to me is another thing ( falling out of love you can't help cheating you can help) I called him and left a message to call back and when he called i asked him was there anything he wanted to say it took a few seconds then he wished me a happy birth day and said he got me a gift that he will give me when he get back Christmas break. i know he loves me but sometimes it feels like he forget i need reassured and to know that he is OK and not dead in a gutter any where i try to understand with class and school work its hard but there only so much, i try not to ask for much like just for him to remember my birth day, wish me a happy birthday call me at least once a week and over all just let me know. reassure me that he thinks of me. am i being to selfish? if i had money i would go to see him but to poor to right now maybe in the future if possible. My aunt has been really sick in the hospital for about 2 months. She's progressively getting better now.Slowly but surely. so Friday (the 4th of September) is my 1 year anniversary with my Girlfriend and I have no idea what to get her... usually I have pretty good idea of what she wants, or something sweet, but I'm really at a loss here. I can't really get her jewelry, I already bought her a lot (considering I'm 16 and not made of cash), and I feel like that would be stale by now, anyway. -For Christmas I bought her a solid silver snowflake necklace with a crystal in the center. ($80) -For Valentines day I bought her a silver claddagh ring (otherwise known as a promise ring) with her birth stone in it and hand carved her a ring box with a heart on it ($40 and a couple of scars) -For absolutely no reason other than the fact that I was thinking abut her i bought her a solid silver bracelet while I was on vacation. There was no special occasion or anything. ($60) -For her birthday I took her out on a mini shopping spree with 80 dollars... she spent 20, but okay... haha. so point being, I'm fresh out of ideas... I tried asking one of my friends, he said to give her five bucks... yeah.. that'd be greattt. a dollar for every 67 days together. anyway... As you can see she put ALOT of effort into my gift and very personal. Its one of a kind. I was wondering what I could get her. I want it to be something shell use multiple times cause I wear these shoes alot since theyre easy to put on and i get alot of compliments.
