Resolved Question: How do I convince my parents to get me a dog/fennec/tame silver fox?

Now, before you write me off as a whiny pre-teen girl who wants to be "ooh so edgy" and drag a poor unwilling wild animal into her parent's house, hear me out. Now, let us begin with my house. I would not condemn an animal to a tiny apartment, no sir, that simply wouldn't do. My house is large, with two floors, mold free and without much nice furniture except for two rooms, and I have a plan to keep a pet out of those rooms. More importantly, I have a large, spacious backyard with a fence. Plenty of room to run around in. I mystified why my parents blatantly say "no" every time I ask for a pet. I've tried everything- good grades, chores, I even wrote a squiddin' poem on why I should have pet. I laid out the arguments, and when I asked them to give me three good reasons why I couldn't have a pet, they just responded 'because I said so". In my opinion, that statement should be outlawed for providing no information whatsoever. This might be understandable if I just walked up to them and asked for a fox without research or anything, but I researched for hours the perfect pets for our family. Let us begin with a dog- is a dog too much to ask for? I would die for any type of dog, even a Chihuahua would make me the happiest girl on earth. I love to go for walks, so walking a dog would be no problem. Come on... it's a dog. A fennec fox might be harder to understand. No, I'm not stupid. Or "st0opd", as some of you might put it. A fennec fox is not a true fox; it lives in packs and lacks the scent glands under the tail than normal foxes have. It is the smallest of all "foxes". Though it doesn't exactly act like a dog, more like a ferret, it seems perfectly suited for me. They have a natural "denning instinct" as well. The tame silver foxes were bred for fifty years are part of a project in Siberia, and are now for sale. They act like cats but are loyal as dogs. I prefer them because they are litter-trainable, but they are also more trainable than cats. Yes, this might seem expensive. Yet my parents specifically stated "money isn't an issue". I and my brother got an iphone just because we asked for one. Not for our birthday or anything. It's pathetic how spoiled I am. What I want to know is... how do I convince my parents? I want an INTELLIGENT answer. Heck, I tried hard, I pretty much deserve one. Please, don't tell me I'm stupid to want a "wild animal" or I will stare disdainfully at your profile until you actually start sweating. more

Okay, I'm in a long distance relationship. My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 6 months now. I send him emails every morning, afternoon, and after school. I send him letters through the mail, I make him pictures (I love to draw), I make him poems (I love to write), I sent him a ring with '.:J:.Forever in Love.:E:." Engraved in it for Valentine's Day, I'm in the middle of sending him a Gift for his birthday, and I'm usually the one who phones him first every day. He hardly sends me emails, never sent me a letter, got me nothing for Valentine's Day, and never calls me first. Am I trying to hard or just expecting to much? I am totally in love with him and I'm just trying to prove that to him! But he doesn't make an effort to do romantic things for me... I'm really bad at these things but my 'friend' is having her birthday party sooner than i expected. We were friends during basketball our freshman year and we stopped being friends at the beginning of our senior year. I asked someone to a dance that she wanted to go with. I'm sorry for that. We liked the same guys, we talked about everything. we did everything together. she saw me as her sister but i only wish i had her trust back. we still talk but we aren't as close. i watch every move and recite the things i want to say. we used to prank call people and i gave her a nickname 'limp biscuit'. people say we look like sisters but we think different. these days she says she needs time but i don't know how long she needs. i guess you could say we are so close but yet so far apart. it would be nice if you started me off or give me a poem to use. i have looked everywhere for poems like that but i didn't find any. more

Hey everyone! Right, so due to a distinct lack of money I've been unable to buy presents for three of my friends who've had birthdays in the last three months and I feel terrible. I really don't have much cash right now and I don't want to wait any longer to give my friends their presents, so I'm thinking of making them each a special box full of memories. Using a shoebox and decorating it to make it a little more colourful, I'm going to fill it with small, cheap objects that I can buy or even make. I started writing at the age of 9. Next week is my Birthday and reading the poetry on here has me thinking. (LOL) It will make 30 years ago I started writing poetry. I wanted to share with you all the first poem I ever wrote at such a young age. This poem is special to me, as not only was it based by a real event, but it was feeling the sorrow and searching within the thoughts of how another might have been feeling to do such a thing. It inspired me or should I say, compelled me- to express on paper what I couldn't verbally say. This piece is disturbing, but also deeply touching. Please enjoy in honor of my Birthday. In The Park In the park ,where I liked to dwell- I met a boy I loved so well! He sat a strange girl upon his knee and told her thing, he never told me. Now I know the reasons why- That girl was much prettier, then I. I ran straight to home; onto my bed, not a word to my mother, I said. Father came home late that night; looked for me left and right- Up the stairs, the door he broke; saw me hanging from a rope. O! daughter, what have you done? “you killed yourself for one man’s son.” He took a knife and cut me down; on the dresser a note he found. “Dig a grave and dig it deep, with marble stone from head to feet- And on my grave I want a dove, to show the world I died of love.” Dana MoralesSadly Ian! I was diagnosed with a rare Malformation in the brain in 2005, since then have had 4 brain surgeries, 1 cervial of the neck, and cheated death more then I care to brag about. Got out of 5 surgeries last year alone. I suffer a lot of brain damage, and what used to come so easy for me is now a challenge. I don't see words in my head to spell, I can't remember anything short term, but I am lucky that it comes back to me later most of the time. And I'd love to be able to hold information I read on poetry in my brain, but it doesn't stick! you stupid AZZ! so get off that pedestal like I told you to, and give credit to those who aren't as fortunate as you. I know that she is my best friend and I should know what to write, but I've always been awkward with this kind of stuff. Anyways, her real birthday was on March 2nd but she celebrates it tomorrow, so I was thinking something along the lines of "I hope you had a great birthday (Her name would go here)!" and I don't know what to say afterward. I was 17, she was 15 The insatiable young wench of H********) Yes it was a bittersweet night That never came to a satisfying fruition, but for young Clare k and me we both found early tuition It was after (name here) birthday party, have I said? We were all in the room having gone to bed. It was dark, the light was poor, about 8 people lay asleep on the floor. Lying in a chair next to me was clare, I was reclining on the floor next to her, I had underpants on I wasn't bare. All of a sudden her hand ventured down and started playing with my tool, with all the people all around I had to keep my cool. I thought - obviously I can't reach a peak with these people all around, so I kept moving her hand to my stomach - very difficult I found. She then kept her hand travelling back to try and complete her major goal to the end, I could not tell her to stop - this dire conundrum was sending me round the bend. I yearned to reach up and fondle her breasts but anyone of these people could be awake, so this tragic story had to end there for respectabilitys sake! >:-( What a pity shewasn't lying down so I could have subtly played with her fadge, this story will resume on the next line as there is no word to rhyme with fadge.... Although I think (name here) was there I don't know if her eyes were open, closed or diverted, If she did see, after the pheremone incident, she'd think I was even more perverted. I believe at the time this girl was jailbait, obviously the brazen hussy could no longer wait, The girl at 5, innocently sucking a towel on my knee, Had transformed into such a dirty minx - so pleasing to see! The wench was seeking a better thing than a towel to suck, but as for the quest of replacing her towel - that night the bint had no luck. If the night had progressed smoothly, then to you I can guarantee, the fruity little tart would have been sitting on something other than my knee. There was one saving grace probably obvious to see, that i didn't end up in the clink - I remained free! more

White icing, or dark? A birthday surprise of roses and ponies, to light up his eyes. Shattered eggshell shards of concrete piled high with crooked rebar fingers waving goodbyes. So basically, I don't even know how to define our relationship. For one thing it's a distant relationship. We're friends who love each other and we both know it. It's been said once and that's it. We agreed to wait and be "friends" for now until we're able to really be together in the same place. But there's a lot of obvious flirting going on. For my birthday he bought me a violin and mailed it. I always wanted one but couldn't afford it, and it was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. But I've been feeling quite guilty since he's broke and doesn't have a lot of money, and ever since he bought it he's been struggling financially even more. Now his birthday is coming up, and it's very difficult for me to mail him something tangible on time. I paint and write, so I wanted to write him a poem but I was afraid that might scare him away since we're friends for now. I wanted to draw a picture of him but thought it might be a little inappropriate. He really, really likes Megadeth, so I'm making him a drawing of Dave Mustaine. Do you think that's stupid? I really want it to be so meaningful AND appropriate, and I don't know what to get him. I really feel guilty because of the money he spent on me, and now I'm not spending anything. So here's the story, I'm the president of the Math Club at my college, and we recently had a meeting and the weird guy shows up for the first time (three days ago, never seen him before). Note, he is foreign and is very hard to communicate with, I think this is part of the problem. He was very talkative so our professor offered him the position of secretary. After the meeting me and him went and did some thing for the club website, and everything was cool. Then this morning he calls and asks if he can meet me, so I do and he talks for a little bit then asks me to lunch, I told him no I ate already, then a little later he asks if I want to go do some "fun activity" with him and his friends sometime, and stupidly I told him maybe. Meanwhile he had this awful idea of selling handmade cards, and me being a pushover didn't tell him flat out it was a bad idea, I beat around the bush about it. He also completely took over the club facebook page, and sent out a bunch of emails with bad information to everyone. So after that I met with my vice president and told her I was having problems with the weird guy, and she said she would talk to him about proper email procedure and tell him the cards idea was bad. Then I get this crazy email called "early birthday present for you" and it's a full blown love poem. Really creepy. Totally gave me a bad vibe. So I unfriended him on facebook. Then he sends another email saying that was just a suggestion for a club activity to build friendship... Next my vice president sends him a rather harsh email about how he can't do things without permission, and how I told her I thought his cards idea was bad. I know I handled that wrong, I should have told him flat out but anyways, he replies with this irrate email about how he is being called a liar and he doesn't know who to trust and how he's really mad. So now I don't know what to do. I have to try and save my club, but at the same time this guy gives me a bad feeling and I just want him to leave, but he's the secretary and our professor thinks he's great.
