Voting Question: why did britney spears lip-sync "everytime" at the Circus Tour?

It it usually one of the only songs she sings completely live, so why does she have to lip-sync it at the Circus Concerts. I know she sang snippets of it live at the end as i saw on her Melbourne Concert on Youtube but it was for only 10 seconds! And She sang it beautifully at Saturday Night Live when the song was still fresh on the charts back in 2004 and did a good effort on the Onyx Hotel Tour. What's the big difference now? more

There are a lot of singers who are making big money and have hit after hit. Only, when you analyze them, they really can't sing very well. Which ones do you feel are the absolute worst? Female: Rhianna- This gal has hit after hit, and yet her voice still sounds as cold as ever on each song. No dynamics, unable to sing above the drone that she carries. Pretty, but not much of a singer. Britney Spears- Bless her heart, she is hot, can dance, but sings like she is breathing hard or has a chase of the squeals. Mad props to her making a career, but she cannot sing at all. Miley Cyrus- Just because your dad was a country star does not mean you are. Tends to scream. Honestly, I dont see how. Miley is not entertaining. Britney is a TRUE entertainer... Miley just copies Britney. Britney is her own self, and thats what she tries to be. Resolved Question: Should I release my autobiography in Germany?

Back in June (this year), I went to Britney Spears' concert. As it was the opening date, there were media press (a few from Germany) and one of the mini TV crew came to interview me about me and coming to the concert. They told me it will be aired on German news channel and music channels and I was like "Oh, wow. That's really great!" Because I was dressed like Britney, so I caught a lot of attention. I got a phone call from an English-speaking German in Berlin and they want me to write an autobiography, to only be sold in Germany. I thought it was someone taking the p*ss (thinking it was my mates), they told me about the interview at the concert and I was like "Really?" and they are coming over here in early February (2010) and they want to talk things over and that. They said that a lot of people in Germany gave 'feedback' on the music channel websites and forums and they said I was "funny and interesting" and they want to know more, so they suggested an autobiography.I was being serious. There is no point to it, that's why I'm reluctant about it. I don't mind if people can't/don't believe it. It is a hard thing to believe. But I might look back and say "Why didn't I do it?" and it might help me and my family out in terms of money. more

Ok so ever since I've stopped buying cds I don't ever have to put up with an album of songs which I end up learning to like eventually.. I might find this kinda sad but also kind of liberating bc I'm not so groomed to love a band, having to sit there and hear the whole album sometimes.. What happened to the days when singers could really sing, and didn't have computers to heavily correct pitch in the studio. Singing isn't done in concert anymore. What you get is lipsyncing to the recorded track. Britney Spears makes $767,000 per month, and she doesn't even have the decency to lipsync excellently. She never sings at her concerts. britney spears recently arriving in Australia for her "Circue tour" has sparked allot of contreversy about lip-syncing. It is a very questionable act, and among all, an ethical. people have paid allot of money to see their hero in the flesh, and they deserve a live show. I for one, bought 2 tickets for this concert, and paid well over $400 aswell as a "pre-internet booking fee". Aside from the fact that i am still excited to see the concert, i feel very ripped off... it was advertised as a LIVE SHOW. what should organisers such as ticketek be doing to avoid the outrage from the general public? should they demand only live performances (NO LIP SYNCERS!), should they advertise that these shows are NOT performed live, or, what rules/ regulations should be put in place to stop things like this happening in the future? more

After recent events in Perth when hundreds of Britney Spears fans walked out of a concert in protest at her miming her songs, do you think concerts that are mimed should carry a warning? New South Wales' Fair Trade Minister Virginia Judge calling for official concert legislation to warn of miming. "Live means live. If you are spending up to $200, I think you deserve better than a film clip", said Judge. "The NSW Government would be happy to look at options, such as a disclaimer on a ticket which would warn consumers a performance is pre-recorded" Do you agree that fans should be warned in advance when performers will be miming, and not performing live? more
