Voting Question: Need your HONEST opinions on my hair!?

Okay so for years I have had long hair but about a year and a half ago I let a hairdresser friend of mine use me as a model for a class at his salon. We agreed I only wanted a trim and that was it. Well the instructor thought otherwise and chopped all my hair off in one swift movement - think Victoria Beckham bob - I was shocked & upset but figured it looked cute and it's hair so it'll grow. WELL a year later my hair had barely grown to that ugly in-between length & I hated it. So I spent a ton of money on extensions. I've had the extensions for about 5 months and gotten them done twice in that time. They have turned out to be such a pain that I hate having to even do my hair which is not like me! I feel like they look fake (Britney Spears/Lindsay Lohan like) stringy, tangled, & just nasty. I can only curl them because straight is horrid. So do I leave them in & deal with the pain or take them out with my short hair? It sounds silly, I know but I just think short hair makes my face look fatter :( so I am attaching a link to a photobucket. Alot of skinny girls get called anorexic or that they need to gain weight and that we look digusting and a bunch of other mean stuff. I've had tons of mean things said to me by women about how I have an eating disorder because I'm skinny. I don't have an eating disorder, I just eat healthy. I am 18 now but when I was 12 years old and I was going through puberty and I was short and chubby/stocky, my sister had this older friend that was 16 and she was SUPER skinny. She had a really tiny waist and curvy hips and big boobs. I was SOOOOO jealous. I felt like a total fatty compared to her. She made me feel so self conscious and I used to stare in the mirror after she left and feel bad about myself. I'm so fat compared to her". There. I just admitted to my jealousies.
