Open Question: Is there still room for Britney Spears now we have Lady Gaga?

Gaga has far better songs and singing ability. Her OTT dress sense is eccentric and the talking point of many. She's young and refreshing. Her album is all killer, no filler. Her videos dare to be controversial and exciting. She's also achieved more in 12 months than Brit has in the past 6 years! Britney was hot stuff in 1999 and became a bit of a trend setter but is she still relevant in today's society when our expectations crave for something more than a pretty blonde with an average voice? Non of Brit's albums have been a patch on "The Fame Monster" and this is reflected by the poor sales of each.In terms of album sales I'm based in the UK where they've underperformed in comparison to the USA. Her singles continue to do well though. more

I just want to know what songs other women listen to when they're working out. Note that I also do dance, so some of my songs are, "Huh? How does that get you pumped?" They don't. Which ones? I am a few years younger than Britney Spears and it really annoys me how people said she was hot in 1999 and she isnt now. In 1999 she was bulimic and at the gym every day doing hardcore workouts. I know what it too to get her body - I used to be at the gym 5 days a week doing hardcore workouts and my body was perfect then - perfect muscle tone etc but i pretty much lived on tuna and felt sick all the time. Its very hard to maintain that body. Do you agree they diet and exercise too much? more

I am pretty similar to Britney Spears (its the only way I can described it) If you remember when she first came out back in 1999, she look so young and pretty and fresh, now more than a decade later, she looks tired, old, bipolar, and a little off. Well I am the same way, I use to look very fresh and young and vibrant. Between then and now, I deal with a lot of depression and eating disorder and I'm a bit bipolar as well. All of the things I went through show on my face and my body and I look horrible. I believe I have let myself go a lot. I just turned 20 a few weeks ago, but all of my looks have gone down the drain. I look terrible compare to what I look like at 13 and 14. People are supposed to look better when they get older, but I just seem to look worse and worse, and my face is no longer recognizable and people are shocked (in a bad way) whenever they see me. I have a 2nd cousin who is extremely arrogant. He is about 4 months younger than i am but he thinks he is much more Intelligent keyword thinks. He is bright but im brighter. Everyone in my family is bright and sociable not him he is bright but i mean the only things u see him do is eat read and sleep and of course sleep, by force he joined tennis in my school. I have had people telling me how he freaks them out because whenever he opens his mouth there is usually a back talk, smart aleck, or an unnecessary remark. For the past year i have been trying to get him to be social and branch out and instead of just reading he should pick up a skate board, basketball or even his phone which i have failed to teach him to use when we were 12. Since 4th grade ive txted and now many years after i still can but he cant even put his phone on silence or even off during school. During class when i know hes about to say something unnecessary i shoo him a look and he shuts up because he is either going to say "that wrong wat u have to do is..." "i read in a book..." on that last one everyone usually groans because the Only thing he every does is reading and like the only thing gong through anyone mind is "wow that's a shocker!" Im in all advance classes im taking advance math and i am currently working on my social life more than my school life. I am an A student in all my classes except math and one of my electives, he thinks he is smarter than i am because he has good grades in normal math which he cant compare me to him because when he was taking math 87 i was taking pre algebra. He only reads out dated books and if i said "omg can u believe it Britney Spears is trying to get her kids back again does she not know she wont get complete custody ever!" (that was an example) hell reply with "who?" He has no clue how to be a normal average kid. He went from priviate schoo to public school and couldnt complete the transaction. He thinks he knows everything but he doesnt and im trying to get him to finish the transaction and be more sociable while being able to keep good grades at atleast A's like everyone else in our family but he doesnt see wat im doing. oh yeah he also has terrible table manners and terrible taste in music. He over analizes everything when right now everything on the top layer is being analized. i want to be able to talk to my cousin without sounding like a genius, i want people to tell me things like wat happened to your cousin i stopped seeing him reading and now he hangs out with the guys from my old school (which is better than the guys from my old school theyre are a terrible infulence on people) i just want to make him smart but sociable or bearable which ever one. Any tips?no wat my problem is that when ever he is having a conversation its about school and im worried about him as his cousin that he has no friends. Ive seen him eating by himself reading by himself i just want him to have a friend who will be with him and not judge him like alot of people in my school. I like Britney Spears, not going to lie. I've been a fan of her music ever since I was young. Even some of my friends still like her, so I don't feel so left out. However I told one of my friends and she said, "Fine, be an outcast to society." How come whenever people like something totally out of the norm that they are called a freak or an outcast? We never really expected the fame diva, and it seems that she popped out if nowhere. I personally look up to Gaga, not because I want to be like her, because she is a wonderful artist and is very much like me. She said herself, when she singing the songs poker face, and paparazzi, that was actually the only things she wasn't singing about. Poker Face is about Lady Gaga fantasizing about women, when she's sleeping with her ex - boyfriend. At first all I thought the song was about was Texas Hold em'. And I had no idea what "bluffing with my muffin" meant until recently. She hides her meaning under a thick outer layer of "fame monster" and she says when she was younger all she felt like was a freak, and she wants to give her fans weird zone, so they can feel like they're not alone. And those are the reasons I look up to her. I too feel like I don't belong, I too wish for fame like no ones business, and I also write songs with meaning. I understand the seem - to - be mysterious Lady Gaga. But was the world ready for this Mistress of music.
