You'll notice that about 85% of the girls (and some guys to) that audition on American Idol AND basically where ever you go, sound like they are trying conjure up Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, etc. when they sing..... It. Is. So. ANNOYING!!!! Seriously, it sounds like they are singing and having orgasms at the same time. No offense to fans of the singers listed, I'm just bashing those who try to sing just like them. A good example of a GREAT singer would be Jodi Benson, aka ARIEL from 'The Little Mermaid'. She has the most beautiful voice, she doesn't try to sound like anyone else but herself. She doesn't manipulate her voice to sound like some sort.......*shutters*....DIVA!!!!! *GAG!* No, no, no, Jodi sings with a unique and sweet original voice and that's one of the reasons she's so respected by others. Now why can't other girls sing more REAL and open like that? Why can't they just 'go with the flow' of their voice instead of trying to be a DIVA sing just like the other popstars? Wouldn't these girls rather have a fresh and unique voice rather instead of manipulating their voice and vocals to sound so UN-original and boring??? I totally get where Simon Cowell is coming from, yall. BTW, don't get me wrong, I know not ALL people do this, there ARE girls and boys out there that sing with quite original and CLASSY voices. ... successfully done that? I can think of a few who have somewhat made a successful transition. David Hasselhoff, David Soul, Jenny Lewis, Lindsey Haun (of course, Lindsay still does acting occasionally). I don't count people like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Stacey Ferguson (Fergie) or any of those Disney kids since they started as actors and singers at the same time, and didn't make a transition from one to the other at all.
