Arriving Flights At Orlando Airport Questions asked
Resolved Question: what to do in a plane for 3 hours?
so im going to orlando the flight is of 3 hours, and i don't know what to do in that plane. Also my flight arrives at MIA and then go to MCO, orlando's airport, so I am in there for 2 hours what to do? moreResolved Question: Help, please... How many hours should I arrive at the airport before my flight leaves?
I'm new to US, and I have a flight for Los Angeles, CA to Orlando, FL that leaves 09:00 a.m., what time should I be or arrive at the LAX airport? moreResolved Question: Teen traveling alone through Houston?
My 16 year old daughter will be traveling through Houston Intercontinental (George Bush Airport) by herself and I was wondering if there is a service to escort her from her arriving gate to her departing one. She will be arriving on an international flight, from Panama, and departing for Orlando, FL. More than likely she'll have to change terminals. The airline, Continental in this case, use to offer this service (for a fee) but they told they don't anymore. moreResolved Question: Why am i falling for this girl i never spoke to?
It all started a few weeks ago when my family booked a 1 week trip to Orlando, Florida. When we arrived at the airport at around 3 am we quickly went to the area to get our flight tickets and drop of our luggage. When arriving in the line there was another family in front of us. There was a pretty girl that looked my age in that family. While waiting i think we had couple moments where i looked at her and she looked me at the same time. I don't know if she was admiring me or just random glances. When we finished getting our tickets and dropped off our suitcases we headed for the long line up to get through the customs area. The same family was in front of us still. The girl and I had a few of those eye to eye moments again. I honestly don't know if it was just my thinking because i thought she was pretty or if she was actually checking me out. After doing the norm that airports require you do we were now at the waiting area for our flight. Many of the people on our flight had bought the same package to Orlando because it was a very good deal at a 5 star hotel in Disney. I was sitting at the waiting area directly diagonal of her so we were basically facing each other. When listening to my Ipod i think i saw her at the corner of my eye looking at me again. I also looked at her a few times. Once we got onto the plane, 2 hours later we arrived in Orlando we went down to the luggage pickup. Everyone was waiting around and same thing as before the girl and I were looking at each other. Once we picked up our luggage we left and since all the people in our flight got the same package we stayed in the same hotel. throughout that whole week my family and hers would always bump into each other. We saw them atleast 4 times. Then the day i went to our hotel pool her and her brother were there. The brother kept looking at me. He was maybe a year older and seemed like he was tired of passing a ball around with his sister(the girl) and wanted me to make friends with him. I didnt talk to his though cause at that time i didnt really think about why he was looking at me. Continuing throught he trip, the day we were flying back we saw them at the airport. When we arrived back home and were picking up our luggage at the circular spinning machine i saw them across from me. I was was sitting on a bench and i think the girl looked out from where her family was and looked at me. It might have been a different person but from where i was im pretty sure that was her. After that they were behind my family all the way back to pick up our car. We had the staring moments again. After leaving the airport we didnt see them. Now a few weeks later i don't know if im desperate for a girlfriend because ever since that trip i can't get that girl out of my head. It's like i can't live without seeing her. I think to myself now if i made friends with the brother i would've been able to talk to his sister (the girl). I'm not sure but i think im falling for this girl that i've never talked to before. At the moment i really regret not talking to her. Can some please tell me what im feeling? moreResolved Question: How long does it usually take for Disney's Magical Express to pick you up and take you to the resort?
Just out of curiosity - our flight should arrive in Orlando at 10:30AM. How often does the Magical Express run to take you to the hotel? Will they be there when we arrive or will we have to wait? Also, we are staying at Saratoga Springs - about how long would it take to get there from the airport using the express? I'm asking a million questions about this trip. :) Just like to know what's going on! moreResolved Question: is this a good plan for disney world vaction?
my family and i are going to disney world next month and my parents put me in charge of schedule July 4-arrive in orlando, Magic Kingdom, watch 4th of july fireworks in magic kingdom July 5- 9am-typhoon lagoon, 1pm-epcot, 7pm visit relatives july 6- around 9am back to hotel,10am blizzard beach, 12pm animal kingdom july 7- 9-11swim walk around contemporary resort, 12pam hollywood studios, 10:30pm fantasmic july 8- 9am typhoon lagoon or blizzard beach, 2pm epcot, watch illiumintions at epcot july 9- 8am magic kingdom and get fast passes for rides, 1pm water park, 4pm magic kingdom, watch fireworks and spectromagic parade or 9am water park, 3pm magic kingdom july 10- 8am hollywood studios, 2pm back to hotel & swim, 4pm back to mgm, 6 or 7pm back to hotel go to airport and get on flight at 8.... so is that good or should i change something what should i do on 9th should i change some of these parks to different days etcwell this isnt our first trip so weve seen most of the stuff at the theme parks so we kind of know what to skip and yes we know that we should get to magic kingdom early on 4th of july and epcot isnt really one of our favorites we find it kind of boring so we would rather visit a water park since its going to be hot and i think we are getting a rent a car so we wont really need to take the bus ...yah sorry i left out a couple little details... moreResolved Question: One-stop vs. Non-stop Flights?
My husband and I would like to book a flight to Orlando and have noticed that the 1-stop flights are much cheaper rather than the nonstop. However, because we have children, we would like to choose the shortest layover time as possible (30-45 min). We were afraid that if our 1st flight was late or we didn't get to the next plane in time...will we wind up stranded? Or do the airlines "hold" the second plane until the 1st plane's passengers arrive at the airport before departing?I would definitely rather go with the non-stop flight due to flying with the kids; however, in the past year all of the airlines have cancelled non-stop flights from Kansas City to Orlando. The only airline that hasn't is AirTran Airways. I have never heard of them before. So should I try and juggle kids (2-year-old & 8-year-old) around a one-stop flight or go with the non-stop flight from an airline I've never heard of before. (And who knows...maybe they are a well known airline. I've only flown commercial one other time, so I'm not very familiar with the different airlines.) moreResolved Question: Name changes for flights?
I booked a ticket under the name of sam instead of samuel and i was stricken to see the alert on my online booking manager that my first and last must exactly match my passport. I called up my airline first who said I booked the ticket through a travel agent, so i called my travel agent expedia.com and all they said is that I should not check in online but at the airport, arrive 2 hours prior to departure for the problem to be fixed along with an amendment fee of £30. Are there any other solutions to this name change error or will I just have to hope and pray that the check-in worker will be sorry and compassionate to this problem My ticket is for a flight from London Gatwick to Orlando International on Wednesday 17 june The 2 hours cannot be guarenteed due to the fact I have a flight from newquay to gatwick from 7.20 am to 8.30 amI honestly think a refusal would be devastating since this is preplanned and prearranged and the highlight is 'name was spelt wrong on ticket' i would be very very pissed off for refusal moreVoting Question: Flight times and connections advice for L.A.?
I have found a ticket i want to buy it leaves Orlando at 18:50 and arrives in L.A at 20:55 then (Delta Airlines) Once at L.A my flight leaves at 23:45 and arrives in Auckland, NZ at 07:30 What i want to know is, Is the time between the Orlando-L.A. Flight and L.A.-Auckland Flight enough to get off the first flight, find the other desk and check in, board the second flight? I have no idea what L.A. Airport is like, So i dont know if i should or not and if someone knows or flies a lot, Can you give me some advice and I have never flown so any other advice would be good =) Thanks moreResolved Question: CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME GET SUPER CHEAP AIRLINE TICKETS?

here is why I Ask this of missing my connection (Final destination), I have 2 days off in a row and what if they can only get me there the same day I head home and have lost most or all or almost all my trip. Will they compensate me to make up my trip and what IF i decide that when I am stuck in the connecting city. THIS IS UNFAIR!! and why wont they put me on another carrier if that is my only way, missing my connection was because of my layover and delays on the plane. I DOnt want to be stranded in the transfer city when I Wan tto be in my final destination. IS IT like the airline is not liable and responsible for someone's severly ruined or lost trip and unwilling to accomidate them I Ask this of oversold flight: I fly home from Orlando to Manchester next week but I connect Orlando to Charlotte and those are both big and among the 30th busiest airports in the world and what chance will my flight be overbooked and I ask this of deplaining. I Fly from MAnchester to Orlando and connect in WAshington DUlles, and Washington Dulles goes to Orlando and how full do you think the flight form Dulles to Orlando will be, I arrive at 11:08 and want to be on the road in my rent a car by 11:40, how can it take 15-30 minutes for deplaning????? moreResolved Question: How early should I arrive at the airport?
I am flying from Orlando (MCO) to Los Angelas (LAX) tomorrow. My flight leaves at 7:15am. I am only going for a couple of days so I only have a carry on bag and a purse, no luggage to check in. How early should I arrive to the airport?? moreResolved Question: Booking a flight on United Airlines...?
I'm planning on booking a flight for Departure from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Washington D.C. (IAD) June 14, 2009 at 9:10 AM EST Arrival, Departing from IAD to MCO at 2:45 PM EST arriving 5:04 PM. Total Cost $335.20 How much would it change if I try to book it in late April/ early May? moreResolved Question: Arriving at WDW Dec 31st and I might have a problem...?
Me and my wife planned to spend new years eve at Disney World. Our flight gets into Orlando International Airport at 3:30pm on Dec 31st. I have no idea what time I might get to my resort, which is Port Orleans Riverside. We really really want to spend new years eve in Magic Kingdom and we have dinner reservations at 7:30pm in the park. Here is the problem, most people I talk to say there is no chance they will let us in the park as it will be full. In fact I heard that we won't get into any park. My question is this: What time would we get to the front gate of Magic Kingdom if our flight gets in at 3:30, we are taking the magic express into the resort, then catching the bus over to magic kingdom? Do we even stand a change? Do we get any sort of preference because we are staying at the resort for 2 weeks? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, I will be really disappointed if we are stuck in the hotel room on new years eve. moreResolved Question: question about outside baggage checks?
My boyfriend and I went to Orlando back in April. When we arrived at the airport to return home, we just saw the outside baggage check and I assumed that was the only place to check in. There was a guy in front of us in line. He was the same race as the guy checking the bags, and did not leave a tip for the guy nor did the worker ask him for one. When my boyfriend and I got up there, I asked the worker a couple questions, which he didn't respond to even though I was standing right next to him! Then as he took our bags, he said "tip for the service", and he would not wait on the next person until we handed him money! My question is though, is it customary that these workers demand tips or even ask? I mean playing so much for our flights, I would think it should included, besides the fact that the worker did not demand one from the guy in front of us. moreVoting Question: What should I do about this situation?
I was suppose to catch a air france at 10:50am, I caught the Gray hound bus, I bought the ticket for 1am to arrive at 9:15, but the bus didn't come until two, The people had gotten my luggage. They told me I was going to arrive on time. So when I arrived, My suitcase wasn't there and many other peoples suit case wasn't there. They required that you payed for the suit case ( 10 dollars) and I tried to but put my own bag into the bus, but they took it and placed it.So, they check to see if it wasn't at orlando. At the mean time I went to the airport to tell the about the situation and, they told me that I Either catch the plain and leave my bag or just miss the flight because they couldn't do anything about it. BTW someone paid the flight for me and I had to pay them back. The thing is I asked them if they can send it and they said the would either send it back to my house or the will leave it there so that " I" can pick it up. I don't think it's very fair is there something that i should do about this situation?( about the bus) moreVoting Question: What should I do about this situation?

I work here in the offices at Orlando International airport. I love my view of the airfield........as I see many planes depart & arrive daily. I noticed a trend over my time here: They launch many flights between 7:30 am & about 8:30 am. Then it gets real quiet around here. Then all of a sudden, a mass of flights begin to arrive & depart again between 11:00 am and about 12:30-ish. I guess my question is: Why line up so many planes all at once? Why not spread the scheduling out so that flights are continuos instead of backing everything up all at once? Thanks, Primo moreResolved Question: What is this "privilege fee if arriving on a flight within 48 hours" of Hertz rent a car?

Hi, I'm flying into LAX on a QANTAS flight from Australia. I then have to go from Tom Bradley Terminal to Terminal 5 to catch a Delta flight to Orlando. I know I have to go through immigration and customs when I arrive, but once I've transfered to terminal 5 what's the process for checking in and getting my bag through security? I know there's something about checked luggage being x-ray scanned. Does this happen before or after I check in for my flight? I read that some scanning happens curb-side - so I'm assuming that means that you scan your bags first then check in for the flight? Hope that made sense and you can help me out with some answers. Thanks! moreResolved Question: Why am I having these nightmares?
Actually, my cousin is letting me borrow her laptop, and her Yahoo ID. I'm on the way to Disney World on the plane, and with my cousins. I planned this trip for after graduation from tech school, (2 yr. program after high school.) And I am going back to college to get my masters degree in the fall. Not everyone goes back for more education. And I’m going back to school, because the jobs I could get weren’t that good. But the tech school I was at had a more ghetto crowd, than from high school, and no attractive girls. And my highschool sweetheart, and some of her friends are going at the same trip, basically together, but under a different package. There was a lot of rush, between my familys trip, and the girls trip, making sure we all got on a flight to Orlando. We flew from a my city which has a small airport, into a bigger airport to Orlando. And we were all rushing. So as soon as I got on the plane to Orlando, I fell asleep. The first dream was I got into Orlando, and we went to the Disney line to board the buses, and they didn’t have the same buses from last time, and in fact was a school bus. And I told my cousins that the buses had a movie last time. Then the bus driver said. “Didn’t you hear, Disney world was torn down, to build a tech school.” And the whole park was gone, and there was an ugly tech school. Then I woke up screaming, so I told my cousin I was just having a nightmare. I fell asleep again, and the attendant said we will be arriving in Newport news Virginia. Which has a company associated with my school. And they called me up over the loudspeaker, where I was taken by the company to work for them at some crappy job as a dimensioner, while my cousins got to go to Disney World. And I woke up again. Then I fell asleep again, and dreamt that we arrived in Orlando, where I got a phonecall from my girlfriend saying that they boarded the wrong flight, and were held hostage in Iraq. And the flight director set us up to hang with some of the ugly broads from tech school during our trip. And I woke up again. The pilot confirmed Disney world was still around, and the girls got on the correct flight, and my tech school was not in Disney World for any reason. moreResolved Question: Flight Simulater Deluxe Edition?

We are meeting a Condor flight from Frankfurt this evening and have no idea how and where to meet an international flight. The web sites don't really show a map of the airport proper, and our hope is that we can have some idea of where we want to go and park before arriving (most likely) in the rain and dark. Thanks, John and Anna Porter Jacksonville, FL moreResolved Question: Can someone find me a VERY cheap flight?!?
I need to go from Chicago, IL to Orlando, Florida. I don' mind depating from either MDW or ORD and i prefer landing at MCO airport. My departure date is ideally on August 11th. The 10th is also fine as long as the flight is after 5pm. And if i were to leave on the 11th i'd like to arrive there in the morning or atleast before the afternoon. As far as returning goes, i am firm on my date and i'd liek to be back on the 16th of August before 4 pm. I don't have much money to spend so i'mlooking for a price thats under $200 with tazes and everything cal;culated. I've looked everywhere...and i don't know where else to look! Can anyone help me out?! moreResolved Question: Availability of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in the airport?
We're flying from Manchester to Orlando on July 21st - the day the final Harry Potter is due to be released. We have to leave the house at 7am, which is way before our post arrives, so we've cancelled our original order. So my question is do you think the book will be available at the airport at about 9am? There is a WHSmith's there, which usually stock new releases. Please help, because this is unnaturally important to us! My sister and I are desperate to read it, and an 8 hour transatlantic flight would be an ideal time to do it rather than when we've actually arrived. No insulting my question please - we're serious about this! moreResolved Question: Renting a car - "airport privilege fee"? What is that?
I've been looking at renting a car at Orlando International Airport. One place I checked, Hertz, asked for my flight number. What is this prilege fee? moreResolved Question: When flying into Olrando Int'l Airport on an Air Tran flight, what is the closest car rental company?

I'm going to Disney World this September but I might only have 4 days to spend so I've to make sure I will use my time wisely. The flying time is 5 hours from California to Orlando plus 3 hours time difference, so totally I'll be missing 8 hours and I haven't even included the airport check-in time yet. My question is, when will be the best time to depart from Cali? I was thinking maybe the 11pm flight so by the time I arrived Orlando will be around 7am in the morning then I can start my day right away, but I'm not sure if I will be extremely tired already since I'm not sure if I can sleep on the plane for those short hours. Any good suggestions? Pls do not answer if you are not serious about my question, thanks. moreResolved Question: What to do with a kid at an Orlando MCO Airport?
I and my four-year old son will have to wait for 2 hours at an Orlando airport. We can wait at either 'pre-security' or 'post security' areas. We'll be arriving there (by Airtran) and waiting for another flight to land so that my relatives and I (and my son) can all take ground transport together. This will be in April. What is there to do with a 4-year old boy at MCO airport? Is there an observation lounge? A little playground? A cool place to watch airplanes take off and land? Gaming station? Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks moreResolved Question: Space Shuttle Launch- Tues- 230pm!- Viewing in FL?
