Resolved Question: Have you had your teeth done in Eastern Europe?

My teeth are terrible and need a lot of work, the dentist says upwards of £3,000 in the UK. I have met a couple of people who went to Prague, cities in Poland, places like that in Eastern Europe as it was a lot lot cheaper, £10% of the cost even considering flights, and they did a great job. I am a little unsure about doing this, does anybody know of a reputable dentist I could get in touch with re this? Has anybody had their teeth done in Eastern Europe and if so how was it? Goodtoothfairy - those prices in Germany you give a link to are about 4 times that of Hungary - e.g. implant in Germany £1500, and in Budapest £375....  more

Resolved Question: How do you recommend traveling from Amsterdam to Prague?

Wondering if it is worthwhile to take a train overnight to get from Amsterdam to Prague, so we don't lose a day of sightseeing to travel (and save the cost of a night's lodging!). I've also heard there are cheap flights between the cities. Those of you who've done the trip, what do you recommend? Thanks! Thanks for the replies so far- which train would be the overnight train? Does it have a lot of stops, and do you have to switch trains throughout the night? Any further details on that would be GREATLY appreciated! I've looked up the trains, and see prices at 39,119,135,145, & 215 -- but I can't for the life of me see what each of those prices gets you (private car? A bed? etc). Any help would be great- we'd want to be able to sleep as comfortably as possible if we went this way. Thanks again!  more

Resolved Question: Help on my Itineraries to Europe?

Greetings , ok this is my plan for the trip to europe Reach Paris and going ard 3 days going to Geneva enjoy for 3 days going to Nice and enjoy for 3-4 days Nice to Switzerland ( zurich ) 10 days Zurich to Vienna ( Austria )10 days Vienna to Prague ( Czech republic ) 10 days Prague to Berlin - Frankfurt - Munich Each city 3 days ok so After researching for a long time , there are euro rails budget flights and the more I search , the more confuse I get. Resolved Question: Is there somehow that I can get a free plane ticket to Europe to drop off a package, like in Euro Trip?

Obviously I want it to be legal, so no drug jokes. I have recently decided I am going to Prague for my fall break, but anywhere in Europe would be fine because it still would be cheaper to fly intercontinental. I know this is done sometimes, but where could I find it? It doesn't have to be a package, I'm willing to do most tasks for a free flight.  more

Resolved Question: Travelling to Europe and back from Australia - $7000? Rip off?

Hi everyone. I'm going to Europe from Australia soon, and I'm concerned that I'm not getting a good deal on the flights. I've been quoted A$6890 from a travel agent in Melbourne for the following flights. My flights are: Melb to 9/5 - Singapore 16/5 - Phuket 26/5 - Koh Samui 4/7 - Bangkok 7/6 - Dubai 21/6 - Athens (Santorini) 12/7 - Rome (Venice) 7/8 - Barcelona (Ibiza) 31/8 - Lisbon 12/9 - Paris 26/9 - Munich 2/10 - Prague 15/10 - Berlin 23/10 - Amsterdam 20/11 - London 17/12 - Dubai 18/12 - Melb I understand that most (sub-A$4000) Europe trips have limited stopovers and I have lots, but it still seems very high. I've heard that just getting flights to Europe and using Ryanair is cheaper, and I'm willing to pay a slight premium to be booked before I go, but it still seems very expensive. Is the $6890 reasonable considering the number of flights? Thanks guys. The quote was from HarveyWorld travel.  more

Resolved Question: Any recommendations for flight itineraries to/within Europe from the USA?

We want to vacation from San Francisco to Copenhagen this summer. I've heard it's cheaper to fly from the USA to a major European hub (London, Paris, etc) and then catch a smaller intra-Europe flight to a smaller European city (Copenhagen, Prague, etc) vs. trying to fly direct from the US. Does anyone have experience with this or any recommendations for intra-Europe carriers? I've checked options on Yahoo! Travel, Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, etc but they are all pretty US-centric and still quite expensive.  more

Resolved Question: Best way to travel to Prague, Venice and Nice from London?

I will be in London on Fri. April 6 and leaving on Sun. April 15. Me and my gf want to spend Fri+Sat in London and leave London Sunday morning, the 6th to see the 3 other cities. We want to see the Venice Italy, Prague Czech Republic and Nice France. In what order should we travel, how many days should we stay in each city and what is the best method to go from each city to another? (I would like 3 days and 2 nights in Nice b/c Monaco and Cannes would be nice day trips). Also I must leave London on Sun. April 15. I looked into flights to and from London to all the cities and everything is cheap except Venice. And even the flights from Nice to Venice which are not too distant apart all cost a ridiculous amount and are routed thru other cities thus being even more expensive. Let me know any ideas you may have  more

Resolved Question: Does the Hydrofoil still cross the English Channel as a passenger ferry?

Im booking a trip to Europe and was wondering if the Hydrofoil is still in use. Ive tried to search for myself, but cant seem to find any transportation website that lead me to it. Ive found the obvious, ferries, chunnel and planes, but I was curious if they still run the Hydrofoil. Also, we're looking at flying from the US to London Gatwick, then getting over to Amsterdam, Brussels and end in Paris. I've seen cheap flights inter-Europe to Prague as well as Rome. Im booking 14 days hoping that will be enough to see what I can. Also if anyone could recommend decent hotels, not cheap roach motels but not expensive ones either. Any European travel site recommendations will be welcome as well. I know all the American ones, so dont suggest Travelocity, Orbitz, Priceline, Hotwire or any others. I worked for an airline in the US, so I know how to get around that, just need hotel suggestions and other forms of transportation within Europe. Thanks!  more
