Resolved Question: Does it take everyone weeks to master a guitar solo?
alright so ive learned a bunch of guitar solos, welcome home, crazy train, hellraiser, sweet home alabama, sweet child o mine, and wanted dead or alive, and each of them took me weeks to get down. now im attempting the solo to jordan by buckethead, the hardest solo by far ive come in contact with. ive been trying to play it for days but it sounds like crap. its really fast. im going to master it someday, but i just want to know if it takes everyone weeks to master a good guitar solo or is it just me? seems like everyone on youtube can play what their playing close to perfect, im just curious how many hours it really took them to get it down...btw ive been playing guitar since october so, not very long, but i catch on pretty quick moreResolved Question: what are some good beginner songs for an electric guitar?

OK so I've been playing guitar for about 6-7 months, and I'd like to see how I'm doing. For fundamentals, I warm up with a chromatic run just going up and down the fretboard using alternative picking, string skipping, etc. For scales I don't know that many, but I know some major scales and the blues scale pattern. For chords I know all major, 90% of minor, some suspended, and some maj7. For songs..I can play the following: 100% correctly I can play RHCP-Californication, Crazy train (no solo), When you were young, All the small things, the chords from hotel california, etc. For songs I'm working on- I'm trying to learn RHCP-Snow at slower tempo, Canon rock, The day that never comes, enter sandman, and sweet home alabama. I was wondering if your a beginner almost intermediate, do you need a new guitar. I got a Fender squire tele for my first guitar and it's ok. The sound doesn't really deliver. Im currently 14 and started playing the acoustic guitar when I was 13. Every other quarter my school lets us pick our 7th period class, and I chose guitar. The teacher showed me some chords and songs and I picked up pretty fast. I wanted to learn more, but we had to go back to regular classes. I bought a guitar of my own and started to teach myself. I learned how to read tabs and learned most of my songs off of videos on youtube. Soon, my church desperately need a player for the starting hymns. They picked me and it turned out I was pretty good at it so they kept me. I bought a new $600 takamine thats here with me right now. I also previously got a electric squire by fender for $200 has a starter. I wanted to know if there are much better 14 year old guys out there than me. I just got an electric cheap, mass produced, in a toy box, blue Squire stratocaster fender. (hoorah =D). It was only 50 bucks so I said what the hell.
