Nervous, seriously dreadfully nervous. Want to know why I'm so nervous well in a month I'll turn 19 years old. And I have to fight in a major war against the strongest monster alive during that war. You would be nervous too if the world was counting on you to choose it's fate but that isn't all I worry about. After the war I'm getting married to the girl of my dreams, Eve. Yeah that right I'm getting married so if I was you I would be hoping that I don't get killed during this war that way I can go home and finally be with the girl I want to spend my whole life with. So anyway I was walking home with my girlfriend/ fiance, Eve. She looked so beautiful when she smiled. She still have long black hair and red eyes, she have the face of a angel, she wore a black hooded dress and shocking still look 17 years old. During the walk back to the Tree house we talked. She never brother try talking about what going to happen on my birthday she knew I had enough problems on my hand. So we just talked about what will happen on our wedding day. Trying to get it all figure out before our big day. I took a huge sniff of the air to check if the coast was clear and to get Eve's scent. Eve still smelled like a dozen roses but something wasn't right. There was monsters close by I could sense it. “Eve I think I smell something. Something very powerful and deadly.” I said. “yeah I can smell it too. Why do they always come after you for?” Eve said worried. “wait look out.” I said. That when a saw a giant snake like egg came out of nowhere and was flying toward us. I kicked the egg and sent it flying toward a tree. The Egg broke into a little pieces and faded into darkness. “My children. You little brat how could you.” said a voice. I turn around and saw the monster I had to fight soon. She have the body of a snake from the waist down and body of a 20 years old women from the waist up., she wore a black tank top, scaly snake like skin and yellow snake like eyes, she had the face of a beautiful but deadly woman, she have long black hair, she have bat like wings on back, and she have snake like fangs too. She gave me and Eve a look of absolute hatred like she would never forgive me for what I just did with her “children.” “who are you suppose to be? American next bad model.” I said smirking. “no” she hissed with a forked tongue. “I'm the Echidna.” “isn't that a type of spiny anteater?” “Do I look Australian? I'm Greek. It have a white double-edged orichalcum blade, two angel wings as the hilt, A leather-wrapped handle grip, It also felt balanced in my hand. I smirked as I already had my M1911 pistols Luna and Sol in my belt. The Echidna attack me by swinging her talons at me. I dodge it without using much of my speed. She smirked as she tried to use her other claws to try and cut me. I got a big cut on my chest. My wound started to healed within seconds. Not even leaving a scar left. She then lick some of my blood of her talons. “Your blood tastes good. This is where you die.” the Echidna said as she slashed both of her claws at me. Was God really testing Adam and Eve with the Tree in Genesis, or was He just testing His new theory about human nature? Surely He had some idea that if a human woman was told that a piece of fruit wouldn't kill her and actually could make her smarter, she might eat it just to find out? Why create a human being who was smart, talented, quick, and curious, then see if "obedient" was also one of its natural instincts? When we met he was in a big mess. I helped him out of it and despite trying to keep my distance we ended up dating. When his life got better, he "got sick of me". Did not leave me but would never be around and initiated friendships that he never shared with me -other women included. After months of barely talking to each other, no intimacy, and numerous fights, I asked him out. The breakup, being over worked, and the feeling of betrayal sent me to the hospital. One week later he was having sex with other women and even told me about it. My memory got stuck in the times that we were okay with each other and his promises that there would never be another woman for him --Instead of focusing and remembering the bad times I focused and idolized the good old ones. He convinced himself and his family that it had been all my fault. I ended up believing them and started analyzing what I could have done wrong to try to fix it and give the relationship another chance. I am no angel but once I accepted him into my life I was committed to doing my best and building a life together...Anyway, we separated for over 1 year. During this time we both tried relationships with other people. It did not work for either of us. He admitted that he could not forget me but he also said that he would not allow himself to get back with me because he thought he was the cause of me getting sick. To that I replied that I was overly stressed and in pain at the time and that it was only normal that it caught up with me. I asked him to not let those thoughts interfere and to give it another try now that we both knew we loved each other so deeply. But, alas, once I said this, he replied that the truth was that he did not want to be with me because he was not in love with me anymore --but that he loved me more than he will ever love anyone. The rejection hurt me but I understood and tried to move on. However, one moth after that conversation, I was diagnosed with leukemia. Since then he started coming to the house and sleeping over every day as a friend. He has taken me to the hospital, picked me up, cooked for me, you name it. I was in heaven thinking that I had made the right choice by allowing him back into my life...and that maybe he was confused as he tried to kiss me a couple of times. Anyways, the dream lasted a few weeks only. Two days before New Years he told me he was going to NYC to spend it with his family. With no friends left (they warned me that they would not be around if I allowed him in again --which he knows), sick and lonely in Los Angeles on New Years eve I thought of ending it all. Yes, suicide. Not over him but over how low I let myself fall. His words have been clear, granted. His actions not so much (except for this last stint.) Where do I go from here? I grew up during a much simpler time in the middle of nowhere so New Year’s Eve was a family affair. My mother would make a confetti Angel food cake with whipped cream and sprinkles. There would be other specialty foods from a mix of nationalities. My favorite was Tourtiere (French Canadian Meat Pie). And of course at midnight we had our homemade version of Champagne (7-Up spiked with either Kessler Whiskey or Christian Brothers brandy) with a maraschino cherry. Usually the evening would be spent playing board games or cards. Midnight was our own determination. When I was young we didn’t have TV and once we did where I lived played musical time zones so rarely were we in sync with anyone else. Resolved Question: Can you really say you love God, or do you just fear Him?

It's easy to love the story of Jesus, and we are of course told that Jesus IS God. However, there are remnants in our brains of the Old Testament God smiting this group and that group, blowing up Sodom and Gomorrah, drowning everybody except Noah's kin, chasing Adam and Eve out of paradise and barring their path with angels with flaming swords, and so on. We are also taught to fear God as a stern judge who might not see the goodness in our hearts and send us to Hell when we finally arrive in joy before Him. What makes you love God? I ask just this: what is it that has canceled out the fear of God and replaced it with actual, genuine love? more

Resolved Question: Did the serpent really lie in the Garden of Eden?

In the Garden of Eden story, God tells Eve the day she eats of the tree of knowledge, she would die. The serpent tells Eve, "You will not surely die. You will become as gods knowing good and evil." Eve ate the fruit and she and Adam survived for hundreds of years after wards. They also learned to distinguish good from evil. I don't see where the serpent lied. Why is the serpent called a liar? Also, there is no mention of Satan or the devil in the entire Creation story. Adam gets punished, Eve gets punished and the snake has to crawl on his belly, eat dust, and bite humans on the leg. God doesn't even hint that there was a devil anywhere around. Just a snake that talked too much. In fact, there's no mention of the devil in the entire Old Testament. How did Christians put the devil in the story? P.S. The Satan mentioned in Job is depicted as just another angel with a job (evidently as some sort of prosecuting attorney against humans). He didn't do anything without God's permission and was expected to show up at the heavenly meetings with the other angels. more

I was at church today for the Christmas Eve mass and there was a very lovely choir who were singing this song and I think it was "What Child Is This?" but I'm not sure. Resolved Question: Why is my hamster not putting weight on his back legs?

My boyfriend bought me three 10 month old, male Roborovski Dwarf hamsters a few days ago, as a Christmas present. One of them is a lot smaller than the other two and seemed to be picked on a bit. Our cage is huge though so he moved to an area where he wouldn't be bullied, away from the other two. The largest one did attack him a few times and he squealed but I think it was more fear than pain as I couldn't see any injuries after watching them for some time. This morning though, I've noticed he's walking very oddly. He seems to be using only his front legs to get around and not putting any weight on the back two. The back two also look very red, I'm not sure if this is because the skin is irritated or if the hair is just thin there. I took him out to have a look at him, (he's VERY friendly, climbs all over my hand the second it's in the cage) and he seemed quite quiet, sitting still, licking my hands. Is this for the salt on them? Connected? I'm really at a loss for what to do, I can't take him to the vets because my mum has the car and is working from 8am to 8pm every day until Christmas Eve. I'd really appreciate any help, I just lost my Syrian hamster last month, she lived for about 1 1/2 years and was such a sweetheart. I don't want to loose this little angel too. Thank you in advance, LeaI forgot to add that he seems to be either licking or chewing, I'm not sure which, at the back legs a lot today.To RobertoR - I did separate him as soon as I got a chance. I wasn't at home when they started fighting and such, I was at my boyfriend's so only had the one cage. I can't understand it if the other one has hurt him though because when they were scrapping he didn't go anywhere near his legs. I really don't know. The earliest I can take him to the vets is when they reopen after Christmas due to not having the car :s more

Because I am led to believe it was his sister because the Bible clearly states Eve was the mother of all not just some but this guy at my work told me his theory that Cain's wife could have been a cavegirl, dude, if she was a cavegirl she probably saw Cain and was like "score!" On Christmas Eve, Santa had a rough time. The experienced elves were out sick and the trainee elves didn't wrap the gifts up properly. The toys were defective. Santa was a little worried, but he helped out and eventually finished. He was really behind schedule, so he tried to speed things up. Voting Question: Why exactly did Jesus have to die for our sins?

Let me state from the start that I am asking this as a simple inquiry about something from Christian theology that I have never understood. I am a "wanderer" when it comes to religion, and I don't want to be preached to, nor have a bunch of "IT DOESN'T MATTER, JESUS NEVER EXISTED!" comments. This is a simple question about something that I've never understood. So, if what I know is correct, basically, God had to send his son to earth to die on the cross to make up for Adam and Eve not obeying God and thereby creating death and making mankind sinful and all that jazz. Why did God have to do that? I mean, He's God, He can do anything and everything, so why did He just go "OH, well you guys didn't listen to me, so therefore, the rest of mankind after you are going to be sinful even though they never did anything to deserve it, and to make it so everyone can go to heaven, I'll send my son to earth to die, and then people will be able to come to heaven again!" Like, really? He's GOD. Why all the "God gave up his ONLY SON so that we could go to heaven!" Why couldn't He just have been like, "Oh, well, as long as you guys are good, then you can come party with me and the angels and whatnot when you die, ok?" And also, why would Adam and Eve even WANT to live forever if they could be in heaven with God? I mean, since God lives in heaven, and God has existed forever, that must mean heaven has existed forever, so why would they want to bother staying on earth? If it seems like I'm mocking Christianity, please know that I am not. Think about it... When God finished his creation, it was all perfect; Satan was his favorite angel, and Adam & Eve were perfect in their little garden. Everything and everyone was PERFECT, right? Yet Satan rebelled and Adam & Eve fell. So... God's gonna wipe "sin" (whatever that is) from his creation, send all the sinners to eternal torture, and start over again with a "perfect" creation. And with FOREVER to screw up, somebody (human in heaven or another angel) sooner or later will, taking huge numbers of people with him - just like Satan did the last time! Close to the time frame of the gulf war in 1991 I was paid a visit by an unexpected visitor. This is what happened. As I lay sleeping in my bedroom I was paid a visit in the middle of the night by the Devil. My bed was situated that when I slept my head was next to the exterior wall of my bedroom. While I slept in the middle of the night the devil came and placed a vision in my mind. This is what happened. The vision was that of a woman and a man by a tree. They were both clothed and it was nothing that would make me believe it was Adam and eve. The vision was powerful and made me start to wake. As I started to wake the spirit in me manifested the devil to me. I saw him through the spirits eyes. He hovered of the ground had no wings or horns that I saw. He was held in check by gravity even though he flew or hovered I should say. He was slender with the body of a man but the head of a fallen Angel. He radiated with his true colors of evil, meaning, I could feel the evil in him. As for the vision, when I started to wake he knew it and said, speaking through his mind to me, I have been here since the beginning of time, I know who you are calling me by my birth name. When he said this it was as if he was trying to harm me. At that very moment an Angel of the Lord struck the devil in the side with an angelic dart. The Devil leaped as if struck by a lightning bolt. He turned and looked straight at the Angel who struck him. The Angel was posted in the front of our home. God created evil... Albert Einstein said evil was the absence of love... There was God creating opposites and thereby creating what is opposite of him.God created what is apart from him; he created evil. The concept of evil did not exist before God created it. Resolved Question: I don't like leaving my dogs home alone, is this a normal fear ?

I'll start off by saying I am an animal lover and care deeply about animal welfare. I live in a nice neighborhood and have adequate security on the windows and doors. I spend a lot of time at home and any spare time I have at home with my dogs. My dogs are extremely well taken care of. When I do go out like shopping or appointments or things like that, it doesn't bother me because I go out during the daytime when my bf is home since he works afternoons to night. Basically I schedule anything I need to do around the times when he will be at home so that someone is always home with them. When the bf and I both need to go somewhere together I'm anxious and scared the whole time I'm out thinking what if something happens. Like a house fire, or if someone breaks in and the dogs run away and they get run over or someone catches them and abuses them or worse they kill my dogs just for the hell of it. If something like that ever happened to my dogs I would be a mess for years and would never get over it.Just thinking about it brings me to tears. My dogs have both been microchipped, they are both registered and both have separate tags on their collars with my address , phone number and their names. They also have gold guardian angel charms with their names engraved on the backs of them lol. I feel like I've done everything I can do to make sure they are safe and protected. The only thing I haven't done but am considering is getting a gps collar for them both. I have two Jack Russells. Recently about 5 streets away a bunch of criminals moved into one house together and ever since then I have become even more "paranoid" about the safety of my dogs when I'm not home. Nothing has happened in my street (touch wood) but on their street almost every house has been burgled. My sister's friend lives next door to these people and told my sister that she heard her cat meowing. She looked out the window and they had killed her cat and threw it into a fire they created by setting furniture alight. So she locked her doors because she has a dog and a little girl. She called the RSPCA to report it and they said they couldn't do anything about it because she can't prove it. I was in tears when I heard that, and disgusted that they didn't get in trouble for it. If I saw that happen I wouldn't let it go. I'm wanting to get a full time job so I can buy a house in a nice area that has no government housing and the lowest crime rate. But at the moment I can only do part time work because I want to be home before the bf leaves for work. I've considered dropping my dogs off at my mum's every morning before work and pick them up before I go home after work, then I could work full time. But she said no because she already has 4 dogs and 3 cats. Although she has a large house and her pets are only small and none of them are vicious I don't see why she won't do this it would help me so much. I hear on the news a lot about animal cruelty, I cry every single time I hear something like that, and I feel a large amount of anger and hatred for the people who committed these evil acts against the animals. It makes me even more mad that most of them get away with it and do it again. Every time I hear about animal cruelty it only makes me more scared for my dogs. My mum invited me over to her house on Xmas day but I said I will only go if I can bring my dogs, just for piece of mind because Xmas eve and Xmas day are when a lot of break ins happen. She said no at first but then she came around and said yes. I wasn't going to go if she had said no because it's not worth the possibility of something happening to my dogs. I know people think I'm strange but in dangerous the world we live in today, you can never be too careful. Resolved Question: If God exists, why do people suffer?

"It's the Devil's doing blah blah blah." "It's cause of Adam and Eve blah blah blah." SO WHAT. If God is as great as everyone says like how He created the world with one sentence or how his son made miracles, why do people suffer everyday. Why are there diseases, abuse, and torture. God seems to sit back and do NOTHING. If it truly is Satan's doing, why doesn't God just zap him away? Or at least hold the devil back? I mean, Satan WAS one of God's angels supposedly before he went all bad ass. Therefore, God has more power than Satan. "Because God doesn't interfere with the universe." Huh, that's funny. My church teacher told me a story about his grandmother. His grandmother was sick and about to die so for a while he was very angry at God. She had only 2 months to live. Turns out, she lived for 5 or so months, which IS rather incredible. Then one day, she left. My church teacher said that He thanks God because God gave him more time. & he loves God more than ever. Umm.. really? Why would God let his grandmother get sick? Why not just die of old age? I'm Christian. But I'm slowly inching away from the innocence. When Adam and Eve sinned, god didn't destroy them because the issue of man's ability to rule himself needed to be settled. Since god knows the answer to this, the reason he does not destroy them is not to satisfy his curiosity but to show the onlooking angels the answer. So why can't the angels take god's word for it that man cannot successfully rule himself? Why does this need to be proven to the angels? Lucifer was not in a flesh body, and neither were 1/3 of the angels but they all sinned in heaven. How do you know that once you get there sin won't occur again, and your god gets tired of it and floods it too? When he first created the earth, he said "It is good", then a little while later he was flooding it. Since he won't be making you be robots in heaven, why can't you still sin? What's to stop you? I have two story ideas I came up with, but I can't decide which one to write (first). So I'm going to ask the people of Yahoo! Answers which idea they think is the best, and why. The first story is called Hallow's Eve. It's about this teenage girl called Eve Hallows, who has been cursed since she was eight years old. But the dreams refuse to go away, and every day the compulsion to touch Angel grows stronger... The second book is called A Fractured Fairytale. It's about a girl called Rebecca 'Becca' Alle, who is absolutely obsessed with fairy tales. One day, she takes Toto, her dog, out for a walk, and he falls down a rabbit hole. While trying to coax him out, an extraordinary thing happens: Becca herself falls into the hole. When she wakes up, Becca spends days wandering the large warren before encountering a large white rabbit who walks and talks like a human. Rabbit tells Becca she has fallen into the land of fairy tales. But there's a problem: everything here has gone wrong. Each fairy tale has ended in disaster, most gruesomely. And Rabbit has brought Becca here to fix things up, starting here in Wonderland and moving through each tale to find the root of the problem in Cinderella's castle. Until everything is well again, there's no getting home. She doesn't have a choice. But perhaps Becca is not who she thinks she is, and here, nothing is quite is it seems... So, which story is best? Raven, the mysterious boy who hides in the shadows, and acts like a human but if decidely... not. Raven and Briar are the only hope left for the world. But they never counted on the one thing that could get in the way. Love. I'm going to write all of these stories one day. I just need to know which one to write first. more
