Indian Beauties Questions asked

Open Question: what is the true meaning of beauty?

Well I am an indian.I look very very similar to halle berry-same nose, almond shaped dark brown eyes, highlighted cheekbones, well defined jawline;expect that I have a wheatish and not a dark skintone.I am 5.8 and I have a great body too. However, people out here tell me that I dont look pretty or beautiful. They relate beauty to nose and colour; particularly sharp pointed nose and fair colour.its so annoying to be not considered beautiful only for not being fair or having a sharp nose??? I know I look really good- but people term me as look at her she's so average looking.its quite depressing as when i travel abroad people love my looks but in my own country people find me just ordinary. more

Open Question: What ethnicity do you think I am?

I am sick and tired. That is why my eyes are real red. I was at a beauty salon the other day and the woman thought I am Indian. So I want to know what others think I am. Guess my ethnicity. First one to get it correct wins :D Pictures (Pick any of the two): http://www.flickr.com/photos/48436120@N03/4439434200/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/48436120@N03/4439434100/in/photostream/Dan: I am sure you do since you just got yoursef 2 points buddy.Woah, I meant sick&tired as in sick and tired. Open Question: White women chasing American Indians?

Some go nuts over them, and insist they won't date or marry anyone else. I understand the "white woman savior" theory and the desire for something exotic, cultural. If you ladies or gentlemen (white, black, or anything not Indian) love the Indian, why do you seek to breed him out of existence? It is the same instinct as those who buy endangered species pelts (get one while they're still here!)? Please check out the statistics on this matter before you finish what our ancestors started. Whether through love or war, a proud people are being exterminated. If there is any lesson I learned in school it was to not repeat the same historical mistakes, but what teens are learning now is to love him to death. Why do you not realize that if an Indian mates with you, his unique beauty is watered down by 50% and within a few generations he is gone forever? That is what I call "the final solution." Don't be a part of it.Many people don't think American Indians out-marry often, but I think before you guys keep answering the way you are, I would check the statistics. Last time I checked it (a decade ago) was 57% of Indians out-marry. Extinction is a serious issue. It isn't like there's a whole continent of Indians to keep the genetic line intact. If people are willing to exterminate themselves, I guess that is your choice. I just want white people to understand they are indeed finishing what the white man's diseases didn't. more

Resolved Question: Do you think that America is an extremely racist country when it comes to interracial dating?

So recently I came back from Canada. I was just wowed and amazed, walked down this street in Toronto and my god it was a beauty. 1. Asian girls and Black guys just kissing and loving each other. 2. I saw a Middle Eastern guy (my old friend) with a beautiful Spanish girl. 3. A former volunteer I used to work for named Raji (Indian man) was out with his Latina girlfriend (and she was just beautiful). 4. Filipino guy and Black girl couple just dating. I saw almost every type of interracial mixture in Canada, it is like nobody even cared. Well recently I came back to America and I just noticed it was the same old boring mixture, White guy Asian girl, Black guy and Latina, and Middle Eastern guy with White girl. Living in America, my Black friend has had a difficult time by society because his girlfriend is Asian and my Indian friend whose girlfriend is Puerto Rican has a very rough time because a lot of the Hispanic guys often try to start fights with him. Isn't it just sad how racist America can be when it comes to rare interracial relationships? (Latina and Asian guy or Black guy and Asian girl) more

Resolved Question: Wedding Question..........?

A Bachelor man, Rohan is excited as today he would be meeting a girl called Pushpa along with his parents and decide whether or not she would be his life partner or not. Rohan and his parents meet the girl and his parents and they do not approve the girl, as she is dark in colour. That night when Rohan goes to sleep, he sees a dream. In the dream he comes across a Jinn just like the one in the story ALLADIN. Jinn: “ O my master, what can I do for you”? Rohan: “ Oh! You are just like the Jinn I had read in ALLADDIN. Well, can you get me a beautiful girl whom I can marry?” Jinn: “ Yes Master! As you say” Within a blink of the eye, the Jinn is present with a beautiful fair girl with lovely wide eyes who is dressed in a bridal outfit. Rohan: “ Wow! She is so beautiful.” Rohan asks the girl her name. The Girl identifies herself. The girl: “ My name is Dream” Rohan: “ Where do you hail from? I mean are you an Indian ?” Dream: “ I live in your subconscious. I can visit you only when you are asleep” Rohan: “ You mean I can never get to marry you in reality?” Dream: “ No.” Rohan: “ O Jinn why the hell have you brought this girl who does not exist in reality?” Jinn: “ Because Master, she is the most beautiful girl according to you and as she said, she lives in your subconscious. Well you can enjoy being with her as long as you are asleep. The same with me, I shall vanish as soon as you wake up.” Rohan: “ Then how can I get nearer to her in reality?” Jinn: “ Well, it is possible only in one situation, I can put her inside the body of Pushpa whom you and your parents rejected this evening” Rohan: “ But Pushpa is dark and Dream is exactly the opposite of her in appearance” Jinn: “ But at least you alone would be knowing that inside Pushpa exists your Dream.” Rohan: “ Well but Pushpa is not the delight of my eyes and not only that, others will laugh at me for marrying Pushpa” Jinn: “ Well, then the world you live in is really ridiculous because they want to run away from realties. We here who live in your dreams know that Materialistic Perfection does not exist in the real world that you live in.” At this point Rohan wakes up from his sleep and just ponders over his dream. He takes a decision there and there that he would marry Pushpa and he conveys this to his parents who somehow are convinced by Rohan but they are as astonished as to what changed his decisions overnight. Rohan: “ Well Mom and Dad, there is nothing like perfect beauty. Contentment is what truly makes everything look beautiful” What according you is the philosophy that Rohan has imbibed from the Jinn ? Do you agree personally to the conclusions drawn by Rohan after he wakes up ? What would you have done if you were Rohan ? more

Resolved Question: Why can't I attract Indian guys?

I am Indian American college girl and Indian guys never show interest in me. Now I've lived in India and I'm very cultured - that doesn't mean I like Bollywood or bhangra. It means that I know Sanskrit, Bengali, Kannada and Tamil. It means that I read Indian history out of sheer nerdiness. It means that I can hear the difference between Hindustani and Carnatic music, that I can understand most schools of Indian classical dance. But Indian guys seem to look down on me, and sometimes I wonder if it is for my dark skin. When I was younger they used to call me "Blackie" and "Black Beauty" and make fun of my color. I grew defiantly proud of my darkness, but I always felt sad that Indians never seemed to accept me. Why are Indians so racist about their own women? I see Indian guys mooning after white girls and pale, Arab-looking Indian girls, but they never look at me. I don't think I'm very ugly, and I know I'm a nice girl because white guys and black guys hit on me. So what's with the Indian boys? Why do you hate dark girls so much? more

Resolved Question: Really needing Careers Advise?

Hello, i'm a 20 year old female, from near Belfast. I have 8 Gcses and a Btec National Diplomia Level 3 in Beauty Therapy Sciences. I started a Uni access course in sept and left as i didnt know if it was for me. We had to choose which subject we wanted to study for 4 years at uni by January. I like alot of things but dont have one thing i could say i want to do for the rest of my life. What would you suggest? Now i am jobless and have no idea what im going to do in September and it's getting me down. I have to apply to college soon if i want a place in september. I went to a careers adviser last week, it was average help but i done a computer program on careers, my top 4 jobs were Reflexology, Aromatherapist, Chiropractor. etc Which when i was at college doing beauty we covered Aromatherapy, swedish body massage and indian head massage. All to do with massaging which was my favourite bit of beauty. However i do not want to work in a beauty salon maybe only getting to do a little massage. This is if i was to go down that road. So i'm looking into massage, reflex, aroma, holistic therapies etc courses. I would love if someone could help me to find out were does any of these?? I also want to do it at a higher level than level 3 as thats what beauty was and there would be no point going backwards. so HND level or Degree i would be looking for. I would be so grateful if someone could help you have no idea. Also i want to do it in northern ireland, belfast if possible. Thank you. more

Resolved Question: What are 2 instances where the concept of Carpe Diem has been applied in the poem, "To His Coy Mistress.?

"To His Coy Mistress" 1 Had we but world enough, and time, 2 This coyness, lady, were no crime. 3 We would sit down and think which way 4 To walk, and pass our long love's day; 5 Thou by the Indian Ganges' side 6 Shouldst rubies find; I by the tide 7 Of Humber would complain. Resolved Question: Why does everyone want to hate Asian Indians for dating their own race?

On many boards and many places I have read how we are "racist" for dating and marrying within our own race. A lot of people call people of my race "close minded" and say we practice "discrimination". Now for me personally, I love all races, though most of my friends are Black I would accept a friend from any race. I would not mistreat another person because of his skin color or his ethnicity but when it comes to dating I want myself a dark haired, yellow skin and brown eyed beauty. Why should I date a Blonde Hair blue eyed girl when I am not attracted to them? People misunderstand the "arranged" marriage thing in India. A lot of them want to call those people racist but in reality the girl gets to chose who she goes with, most of the time the Indian girl will go with an Indian guy because she can understand him better and get along with him more. In my view I just think a bunch of Europeans made this up because they were mad the women of India rejected them. Enough of my views but what is wrong with dating within your own race? Shouldn't it be our choice as to who we date or marry? Is the world turning in to such a bad place that you get called a racist if you date within your own race? more

Reduce the poem to a simple logical argument, using the format below: If _______________________________ Then ____________________________ But _____________________________ Therefore ________________________ 3. The poet uses several hyperboles (an exaggeration used for effect). Look closely at the first stanza and list three or four examples. 4. The tone of Marvell's poem is best described as: a. tender and mild b. thoughtful and devoted c. angry and impatient d. clever and passionate 5. An allusion is a reference to a well-known place, event, person, or work of art. Marvell uses many allusions to time. To what do the lines "Time's winged chariot hurrying near" allude? a. the rising of the sun b. his lover's acceptance of the speaker c. the unwanted attentions from his rival d. the coming of death more

Resolved Question: Why do you think the western model of feminism has made such small inroads into the rest of the world ?

I mean, in vast swathes of the world female beauty is revered and celebrated by women. Miss World contest is enthusiastically embraced and celebrated by women throughout South America, SE Asia, Eastern Europe, the Indian subcontinent etc. Even an incredibly advanced country like Japan has rejected the western model of feminism. more

Resolved Question: Is Vedic Civilization the pioneer of the world today ?

Vedic Mathematics Perhaps the most striking feature of the Vedic system is its coherence. Instead of a hotch-potch of unrelated techniques the whole system is beautifully interrelated and unified: the general multiplication method, for example, is easily reversed to allow one-line divisions and the simple squaring method can be reversed to give one-line square roots. And these are all easily understood. This unifying quality is very satisfying, it makes mathematics easy and enjoyable and encourages innovation. In the Vedic system 'difficult' problems or huge sums can often be solved immediately by the Vedic method. These striking and beautiful methods are just a part of a complete system of mathematics which is far more systematic than the modern 'system'. Vedic Mathematics manifests the coherent and unified structure of mathematics and the methods are complementary, direct and easy. The simplicity of Vedic Mathematics means that calculations can be carried out mentally (though the methods can also be written down). But the real beauty and effectiveness of Vedic Mathematics cannot be fully appreciated without actually practising the system. One can then see that it is perhaps the most refined and efficient mathematical system possible. Preamble By Swami Sada Shiva Tirtha When we look at scientists who are credited with the most important ideas of our time we find mainly Greeks, Europeans, Americans listed. Yet western history seems to have been arbitrarily begun during the Greek era. In fact, when we extend the boundaries of history to view the longer span of history we find some amazing developments predating "modern" history originating in India more than 5,000 years ago. The ancient thinkers of India were not only scientists and mathematicians, but also deeply religious, esteemed saints of their time. While it may surprise some to think of religious sages as mundane scientists, the Indian view is that religion (universal) and science are but two sides of the same coin - in short…semantics. Whether one calls a natural phenomena wind or the wind god - Vayu - one is speaking of the same thing. Yet it seems that having a spiritual foundation not only brought out important discoveries still in use today, but these discoveries also were helpful without causing harm or destruction. In fact this article will cite the origins of some amazing and here-to-for mis-credited discoveries as coming from India. Some examples include so-called Arabic numerals, the concept of the zero, so-called Pythagorean theory, surgery and more. It may seem astonishing, but the ancient texts are there to show the thinking and writing of these great Indian thinkers. Why is India not credited? It seems that in the West we have a condescending, Euro- or Greco-centric view that civilizations older than Greece were uncivilized barbarians. This notion was further melded into our collective psyche through Hollywood's portrayal of ancient cultures. One only has to look at old Tarzan movies to see ancient tribes shown as barbaric, superstitious idol worshipping people. Tarzan himself was shown to be a non-speaking animal-like person. In fact, in the original books, Tarzan was a well-educated and highly eloquent speaker. Chauvinistic misrepresentation exists even today. Nearly every book written on the history of mathematics is equally biased. The one bright spot is the Crest of the Peacock. Even this year, during the recent Hindu festival, the Kumbha Mela - the largest human gathering in history (70 million people) the modern-day press mainly reported on the most negative aspects of the event. It was not credited as the largest gathering, nor was it pointed out that for 1 week, the area was the worlds largest city (larger population than London, Tehran, Rio, Paris, Chicago, Beijing, Hyderabad and Johannesburg put together). Virtually no one spoke of more

Resolved Question: question regarding eloquent girls?

today i was talking to a girl i've got a little crush on on the phone. I got more attracted to her as we talked because she's really eloquent in speaking her sentences. I wanna ask guys who have an eloquent girlfriend, does her eloquence make her more attractive in your perspective? I am just curious to see if i'm the only one who gets attracted to that kind of ability. We are planning to have tea sometime when we both have enough freetime. This girl is Indian with one of those unique Indian eyes and really light skin, which makes her have a glowing beauty, and the eloquence is just a big bonus to me. With those 2 together, i'd be thrilled everytime i hear her talk to me if she does become my girlfriend later on (will have to see what happens after our tea get-together) more

Resolved Question: SA scored 558 runs and India 25/0 after 4 overs. What do you expect on day 2 of this test match?

What do u expect from the day3 of this test match?.We have watched the batsman dominating both the days. Will it be the case in third day too? Which Indian batsman is likely to shine in this innings for India according to you?. I already have a slight suspicion that this game is heading towards draw as the pitch looks dead and flat. Will SA fast bowlers get something out of this dead pitch? Great batting from Kallis and Amla but I must complement Zaheer Khan for his beautiful bowling on day one for a short while at the start. What a beauty to dismiss both Smith and Prince!!!.Which one was better according to you?. I think India is lacking spinner like Kumble who can get wickets even in first day.Do u think Harbhajan and Mishra lack that ability where they keep the batsman in check everytime? Please Geniune answers only.Sorry.I must add .It's Day 3 of the test match. Had a really incredible typo lol. more

Voting Question: I need a career counselor!?

After a long time of being stressed out about what I wanted to do with my life Im feeling inspired to go back into college (after learning to drive, getting a full time job and having a bit of saving in the bank). The thing is after I left school (15) I went to college to do hair and beauty and my dreams were to leave with distinctions then go to America to study Cosmetology (and learn massage, reflexology and aromatherapy, indian head massage etc) and then work on a cruise ship (so that I can travel on the job), then work as a make up artist on film sets, then opening up my own luxury spa/ hairdressing/ make up salon and making my own hair/ beauty treatments while taking on apprenticeships. But I had so much low self confidence because there were so many shallow bitches on my course so I ended up leaving with no qualifications and was adamant I would never return (even though the course teacher persuaded me to in a years time) Also I had a LOT of personal problems. That happened four years ago now but in that time I gained qualifications in Health and Social care (as I was determined not to let anything get in my way this time around). After that I did a short course in admin but I didn't enjoy it, then went into business and management but didn't stay on the course as I had been doing another course - psychology, (a year program to get you straight into that course in any University in the country) at the beginning of that year. Now (getting to the point) I have an interest in all of these subjects - Hair and beauty / massage/ holistic therapies, psychology, management. I was thinking that I should work full time at the moment, concentrate on learning to drive, then do the part time (2 nights a week/ 2 yrs) psychology course, then go into a local university. Then when I feel like it after I have settled (college gives you a grant if you have worked and lived without your parents for 3+ years) or when the recession is over do hair and beauty, so on and so forth, also do a course in salon management)... What do you think? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...Also I am quite artistic but also enjoy doing lots of paper work... more
