there is a chance i might be able to stay in the nursing program but i need other options. I dont want to drop out of my school to be a LPN wne i've half way done anf THE COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY is a really good school and i want to graduate from there... its really hard to think of wat to do b/c nursing is really the ONLY i want to do and i cant even IMAGINE anything else besides but i do enjoy science kinda but am not interested in business, education, the arts or communcication =(... i wanna be able to help ppl and work in the hopsital setting.. someone told me the army trains for nursing not sure if its true i want to be a BSN-RN not a LPN, all the classes ive taken are prereq. for nursing like pys. stats, chem, micro, nutrition, im about to go into my junior year and dont know wat to do with my classes ive taken so far, even if i apply at i diff schools in NJ , there like 2 year waiting list all over NJ.. What else could i do and wat are other careers similar to nursing. I dont really have anyone to help me with this life changing decision not even family because im the first one to go to college and I dont want them to worry about it so i would really appreciate ur help this is a really stressful time especaily when theres noone to really help moreResolved Question: Becoming a nurse, where do i start?
My Wife wants to become a nurse. She is 21 years old. We live in New Jersey. I think the process is to get an associates degree from a community college and then transfer to work towards a 4 year degree in a state school. However... looking online at Bergen Community College where she already has about 16 credits, it says all nursing applicants for the A.A.S evening program need to have a valid NJ LPN license. (legal practical nurse) How does she first obtain this? If i am wrong on the steps, please advise me. Thank you,Yes are we talking community college... im sure with a high school diploma and a few credits she can't go straight into nursing school? moreResolved Question: LPN nursing jobs in NYC?
Before anyone says, "Don't waste your time being an LPN, go right to school for RN", I am early into the LPN program as I write this and am, as of this time, only going to go for the LPN. That said, how is the job market for LPNs in New York City? Are there alot of jobs for LPNs in NYC? How is the pay? How is the pay compared to the cost of living in NYC? Can you think of any other places where there are plenty of jobs for LPNs that pay well and the cost of living isn't ridiculous? Someplace in New Jersey, perhaps, or Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia? Here in PA, the average starting salary for an LPN at a hospital is between $13 and $15 per hour, at nursing homes it ranges from $14 to $18 per hour (for LPNs). I would desire to make at least $16 per hour to start (I want to be able to pay off student loans within a year, then save for a down payment on a house, buy the house, be able to pay bills and mortgage with plenty left over to save). moreTop Lpn Programs New Jersey Links
