Bins Organize Storage Box Questions asked
Voting Question: Organizing room to maximize space?
I need help making my room (9 foot by 12 foot plus closet) organized enough for two people's stuff. I know this is probably easy for someone with good organization skills (not exactly me). Here's the catch- I can't spend any money on anything. I have a dresser, tall book case, desk, and a 1footx2foot closet. I have a bunk bed with little shelves on each bunk. There is space under the bed for storage. I do have several boxes and plastic bins. I basically need to learn how to use it. Any ideas? Also, how do you work with a 7 year old on how to effectively organize?
moreResolved Question: toddler toy storage unit?
We made it past the first Christmas and first birthday, but now with Christmas coming up again.....I know we'll have way too many toys to store on the bottom half of his 2 book shelves like we're doing now. I've been looking into a toy storage unit with 12 bins to organize his toys and for an easy clean up and just a big toy box. What's the best way to store a toddlers toys?
moreResolved Question: what is a good way to organize my room inexpensivably, yet still look put together and not, well, crappy?
I need a cute, inexpenive way to keep my room organized. the way i have it, everything has something of a place, i just don't have that place set. most organization things, bins and boxes, are either a bit overpriced, or ugly, and don't fit into my room well. i like shelves, but cna't find cheap shelving of an affordable price that litterally fit in my room, either too big or too small for the way i have things, or i just flat out hate it and can't think of anyway to make it something i think of purchasing.
what i mainly need is storage for papers, notebooks and floders, and some kinda little big thingy for shoes and i'm getting shelves hung sometime in here for books and other things, and shelves and stuff for stuffed animals.
any suggestions(preferablly links) as to what looks nice while still remaining cheap and well put together. not too childish, as i'm 15, and not preppy(i have more of a gothic/punk thing to me).
sorry this is long winded, i'm talkative at night.

fu_ck u bit.ch, that's why i'm on here. my room is clean and organized, i just want a better way for it. go to hell.
moreResolved Question: Where is the best place to buy storage bins (like for clothes) cheap? Bulk?
I am trying to organize my garage and get rid of all the cardboard boxes I have used for storage. I would like to buy about 20-30 of them at a good price. Nothing fancy as long as it does the job and don't rip! Thanks
moreResolved Question: Do they make clear plastic 8 1/2 x 11 bins, that can store stacks of paper?
We are re-organizing our office marketing department. We use tons of advertisement literature that is stored in boxes on shelves (our literature room kind of resembles a library). Most of these are brochures & data sheets printed on 8 1/2 x 11 sized paper. There are over 500 different sheets that all have to be inventoried on a regular basis. Our shelves are custom built and fit exactly three, 8 1/2 x 11, boxes across. It would be helpful to replace the cardboard boxes with clear plastic bins of the same size so the paper level inside could be seen at a glance even from a distance. This would speed the inventory process. Does anyone know if plastic bins of this type and size exist? I have done many searches online for bin systems, paper storage systems, and inventory control systems, but haven't had any luck yet. Can you help me?
moreResolved Question: Looking for a product - struggling to find possible search terms?
Hi,
I'm trying to find a product - ideally not at massive expense.
In my mind its a "wall tidy". Sort of made in one-piece moulded plastic, with about 5 x 5 rows of deepish "cubby holes", and each cubby hole set in to it at a slightly sloped-in angle, in which I could store bits and pieces in each cubby hole, and have it hanging or screwed in to the wall of my garage.
Sort of a general organising thing which can be hung/screwed in to garage wall, for storing screws and bolts, tyre pressure gauge, car cleaning mit and towel.. odds and ends.. nothing overly heavy.
Any ideas of where I might be able to source something like this?
I know there are sort of professional type units but expensive and not ideal anyway.

Like this but more uniformed and deeper cubbyholes

moreResolved Question: Is there any way to make ziploc bags vaccum bags and make them airtight?
I had to buy some things to get a room organized, sort of last minute and didn't have time to order anything online. So I went and bought several boxes of the big ziploc bags for storage, I thought they said they were airtight.
I tried taking my vaccum and taking air out of the bags, which worked great and and really cut down on the size. However, over the course of a day they started growing again in size.
Is there anyway to seal the seem or something so that they could be the vaccum bags?
I've spent several hundred in all the bags and bins I've bought, so I really don't want to buy the vaccum bags now.
Thanks for any tips!

moreResolved Question: I am obsessive/compulsively hoarding- Please help, I'm drowning in STUFF!?
I was searching net for ways to get organized. I learned that I am hoarding, & I absolutely-positively cannot get rid of/throw away/give away the things that I hoard. It's ruining my life! I don't want to have people over b/c they will see my mess, & I don't want to leave my apt b/c maybe someone may rob me while I'm gone. I can go to school and work, but socializing at night is hard b/c I'm more likely to get burgalarized. What do I hoard? Here it goes: large microwave box of old towels/shirts to use as rags. Office supplies- esp filing stuff. Cosmetics-some almost ten years old, lotions, shampoo/conditioner- even a shoebox full of sample sizes, styling products, hair accessories. 3ft stack of paper w/ print on 1 side (scrap paper). Arts/crafts. Clothes/shoes/etc. Cardboard boxes/storage bins/jars/etc (to store my stuff)-most of which remain empty, I keep buying more so I can organize all my stuff. There's more but no room to mention here. I can't let it go! I can't stop gettin more.PS I am not agoraphobic, I'm just extremely attached to my things. I don't want to lose them. Hence, I hoard them.
