Can The Lord Jesus Help Me Quit Smoking Questions asked
Voting Question: Did I blaspeme or speak against repentance in my previous question? If I did I hope I can be forgiven by God.?
This is what I wrote yeasterday night:
I am so confused about deliverance from a demon(s) haunting me?
I have been tormented by a demon for six years now. Only now has my will, in which case my heart is in bondage to the devil, been able to come to the point of needing deliverance. People will say repent but I cannot repent until I am delivered and that is a work of God. I have no evidence of having the Holy Spirit, though I believe in Jesus and that He died for my sins. My mind is mute and I hear the enemy all the time talking about sin, accusing me, and such. Try repenting from smoking when the accuser is talking about how you should quit smoking all the time and tempting your spirit so you do smoke. The accusing spirit and its temptations have to go by the Lord so that you can repent. Even now I realize I am accusing, acting paranoid, and all these things, and I am so confused I don't really know if I am. I am so depraved and beaten that I need Christ to just have mercy on me like He did for the person with legion.
Lord willing, I will go to Gilroy this month for deliverance. I hope that you do not judge me, for I have had demon seeking my life before I knew what demons where, and nobody can expect this to happen to somebody in life since it is so strange. And I never had a father to teach me the proper walk of life and no man seemed willing to see me through my life and instruct me. I have sinned, but I also had horrible circumstances in my life that lead to the enemy taking my life. When people see me they don't see the enemy destroying my life, who is invisible to us, they see the sins that are a result of that. The enemy preys on the weak, the fatherless, the widow, the person who had the least chance in life to succed of all his peers, and he blames him for not succeding when he is the stumbling block that caused that calamity and keeps it in stasis. I just wanted to vent. This is really serious. Can you guys console me at all?
I will submit to God and resist the devil by deliverance. Lord have mercy upon us all.

Now, and as I have believed but mispoke, I would say that repentace of the heart is nessacary to clean up a person's life in order to have deliverance. That is part of delierance. So I ask the Lord to cleanse me from any sin I might have written and the intentions behind it, however misguided.
I have never read of a person like me getting deliverance from demons. But I hope in Christ. I need to trust in His grace for their must be no limit for those who trust in and believe in Christ. The unaprdobale sin frightens me, beacuse I did say the name of the third Person of the TRinity with a curse word once in my mind, and I don't know if that can be forgiven. But Jesus said that any blasphamy can be forgiven. Grace abounds, but some sins I've done make me feel as fi I can't be forgiven.
Do you think that I sinned unpardonably with my previous statement. And if I have, do you think that God forgive me? I hope that speaking about repetance in such a way is not unpardonable. Does anybody know some Scripture that would help me?

I have been smoking for ½ of my life, since I was 15. I have tried the gum, commit lozenges (effects my heart) I have used the patch, it gave me a nasty rash. I have prayed and had others pray for me. I am very religious, but perhaps I am just really weak. I have seen pictures of blacken lungs, seen people die of lung cancer and still I can’t quit. Jesus is the Lord of my life and I want to be clean of my addictions, but I still automatically grab my smokes, when I’m stressed I stress smoke…I’m smoking now.
½ my life plus one year, so over half my life I have been addicted. I have heard some people using self hypnosis, or affirmations to help them. I want to try this using my MP3 player, but I only have a few, can any one give me more affirmations, or ways that really helped them when they have been smoking as long as I have?
Here’s what I have so far, what can you add to my list?Stuff like:
“I am not a smoker”
“I do not desire a cigarette”
“cigarettes do not rule my life”
I only have enough for like 30 seconds of recording, does anyone know of any more I can add to my list?
