Help To Quit Smoking Marijuana Daily For About 10 Years Questions asked

Voting Question: Drug testing question regarding long time marijuana user?

If there are any doctors or lab techs out there that can help, it will be most appreciated. I've been quit for 10 days, and do not plan on smoking again hereafter. I'm "older" (over 45) and smoked nightly (sleep med only) for 11 years. Other than cigarettes (next to go), the occasional cocktail, Synthroid, 81mg aspirin, & Benefiber I do not use any other drugs. I'm 5'5", 190lbs, female, & not very active. I have a U.A. later this week (12-14 days clean) for a new job. I'm VERY anxious becuase I know as a long time user it will probably take 30-45 days to clear my system. But, I'm the sole breadwinner for my family, and have been out of work, so I've GOT TO PASS. I've read tons of "water", "niacin", & "flush" stuff on the internet, but I don't want to automatically fail by using one of these methods. I know that THC is stored in the fat cells. So, is there anything I can do in the next three (3) days that will help me pass? Won't be a problem in three more weeks, but I don't have that amount of time. I drink about a half gallon +/- of water daily. I did read that exercise, sweating, and sauna would help reduce the fat cells, but won't that just release large quantities of THC into the urine over the next 3 days? What about a colon clense? Will drinking a sugary drink (Mtn Dew) before the test help? Will taking NyQuil or some other medication the night before allow me to delay the test until I can be sure I'm good? Again, not a problem in the future. I REALLY need solid advice if anyone is willing or able. Many thanks, and God Bless. more

Resolved Question: medical marijuana in colorado, advise on my situation on how to obtain my card?

well recently i turned 18 and i want to apply for MMJ for two reasons. 1. im a ex-high school wrestler, and my knees have been trashed from that. they hurt daily, and on moist days i have issues walking because it hurts so bad. i had to actually quit this season because they hurt to much and to often to be able to practice/wrestle 2. i have had severe stomach aches for 10 years now. when i was a little kid, (8 when problem started) they were so bad i would be in tears. my mom took me to doctors and i had tests performed, stool samples examined, etc...but all that was suggested was taking tums which never worked. i have missed a decent amount of school because of it, either leaving early or not even being able to go. whenever i get them ill stop eating because i just am not hungry, sometimes i wont eat for 2+ days. January 2009 i had pains for 3 days in a row and i barely ate anything for that entire week. now...ive smoked before, and smoking helps my knees, and when im lucky enough to get a strain that makes me hungry, ive smoked that with my stomache aches and its made me want to eat, and eating helps the pain go away. i only have been able to obtain a couple medical records on my stomach issues, but i think its enough to show that this isn't bullshit....and i don't have records for my knees because only the school trainers have looked at them, but i have records showing ive wrestled for a while now, and knee pain is very common in wrestlers. there is a clinic i got the number for, "patients choice" and ive heard that they are more open to herbal treatments (they even have their own dispensary i think). in short, i want my license, and im wondering if there is anything else i could bring / do / say to help my case. i DO NOT want to be put on any forms of pills for my pain either, i DESPISE the really fucked up way i feel when ive been on pain pills in the past. ill also be paying in cash for the appointment and license and anything related no shit about how marijuana is bad either or i shouldnt be smoking. that IS NOT WHAT IM ASKING. if your not going to answer my question or help my case, please respect my decision and LEAVE. more

Resolved Question: How bad have I abused my body? Can I help repair it?

I am a 17 year old male, I'm 5'10" and weigh around 150 pounds. I have recently started thinking about how I treat my body, because for most of the previous years of my life, I havent exactly been easy on myself, physically and mentally. So first off, starting in middle school...insomnia, went to bed around 2 or 3 am everynight, got about 4 hours of sleep a night, 6-8 hours of sleep was alot for me..then high school rolled around, got back on a semi-normal sleep schedule, about 6-8 hours of sleep a night. However, I maintained a horribly poor diet throuought all of high school, it consisted of not eating much all day and one HUUGE meal at night time, usually McDonalds or Taco Bell. Freshman year I drank ALOT and smoked marijuana on the weekends. Sophomore year was a combination of drinking every couple weekends, heavy daily marijuana abuse, prescription pill abuse. Junior year, heavier daily marijuana use, up to over 10 blunts per day, continued prescription pill abuse, mostly Aderol, Percecet 30 mg, Xanax 2mg bars. Experimented with "magic mushrooms" and did coke quite a few times, maybe 15-20 im guessing, but was not addicted. Senior year, continued HEAVY marijuana abuse, quit perscription pills and all other drugs, but did one cycle of oral anabolic steroids and shot up 500 mg of pure testosterone about 3 months ago. Note: throughout all of the drug and alcohol abuse, I maintained the same very unhealthy diet, and got minimal exersise. I also was experiencing family deaths, and high levels of stress throughout high school. I also have smoked ciggarettes regularly since sophomore year. more

Resolved Question: Please help. How can I re-balance my bodies chemicals and nutrients? Because most of them are very unbalanced.?

Resolved Question: I have smoked pot every day for the last 10 years, what will happen if I quit?

I have been a daily pothead since my sophomore year in high school. I am now 25 years old and I want to go to college and make something of my life, but I am worried about my marijuana dependency and the effects it has had on my memory and critical thinking skills. What should I expect in terms of withdrawal if I quit cold turkey? I know this is weed not heroin, and my "addiction" is more of a mental thing than a physical thing, but I am still worried that my brain has gotten so used to being high that I won't feel "normal" without my daily toke. I feel that pot isn't a totally bad thing, it helped me cope with depression when I was younger but lately every time I smoke I get paranoid and the high just isnt enjoyable like it used to be. I also haven't put much effort into college or a career and I am getting too old to work a low end job and live at home with my father. Has anyone else been in a similar situation or have any advice for me? I have been in denial for years about the possible negative effects of my beloved herb, but am coming to the realization that maybe its time for a change, maybe its time for me to quit for at least a while to see what life is like completely sober all the time. Please don't respond if you have no experience with what I'm talking about. I don't need someone who has never smoked to just tell me "pot is bad mmkay". Thanks for any responses. more

Resolved Question: My heart races after I smoke... It din used to be like this! whats up!?

Okay... I am an 18 year old boy, I weigh about 150 lbs and am about 5 10 and have been smoking marijuana and cigarettes daily for about 5 years and have not noticed much stress on my body because of it. I am pretty active and have a normal resting heart rate of anywhere from 75 to 85. Lately when I smoke my heart races so much that it is hardly enjoyable even... the other day I took my heart rate after smoking and it had gone up to 105(resting!) and my heart was beating so hard it felt like it was going to explode. Today I skateboarded for only a small amount of time(20 minutes) and checked my heartrate and it was around 170! I quit smoking now because it scares me so bad but there must be something wrong because this never used to happen what to do? ps I thought it might be something to do with my lungs so I made a green dragon drink (http://www.greendragonsoda.com/) and drank the whole thing which caused the same kind of reaction but way worse, my heart was up to 200 bpm all night! I was sure I was going to die, the effects didn't completely wear off for about 2 days... needless to say I wont be partaking in the whole drug scene anymore but I still want to know whats wrong with me any help would be appreciated... thank you! more

Resolved Question: Could I be pregnant ?

I last had my period on approx. Nov. 15 and have not had it since. My husband and I are not really trying but would be glad if we did conceive. I was told about 4 years ago about having HPV but the kind that would clear up on its own. We have been having sex regularly for the last 3 years without contraceptives. I was sick with stomach cramps and diarrhea New Years Eve but I think it was the stomach flu because everyone around me had it. I have no other symptoms other than no period. I took an at home test 2 days ago and it was negative(not even a faint line.) I will admit that I smoke about 10 cigarettes a day and my husband and I smoke marijuana daily(I'm an adult I don't need your opinion about this,FYI I have a very good job and this is just something I do to wind down in the evening because I don't drink.) Since this scare started I have not done either(I would quit completely if a child came into the picture). I have mild cramping sometimes that just feels like when your period is about to come but nothing else. After all of these years is it even possible???? I have been stressing hard time when the day that I was supposed to get my period came and went(dec.15). It would be awhile before I could get to the doc but I plan on taking another test this week. Is it possible that I am stressing so much that its delaying my period?? What to do? I would be happy either way but I am so confused. Any constructive help is greatly appreciated, but mostly I am looking for someone that has been in the same situation. I am 24, about 50 lbs overweight(but its carried well because I am pretty tall) and I have no other medical problems. Please only answer if you have something nice to say. Thanks !! more

Voting Question: Will I pass a drug test?

I am a very casual marijuana smoker. On average I might take two hits of a bowl 5 days a week. I am very athletic (5'7", 140lbs) and have an extremely fast metabolism due to an over active thyroid. My fat percentage is around 8%, so theres not much fat to store THC. I have roughly 10-14 days until I'll be tested. I have quit smoking completely, work out daily and have begun ingesting massive amounts of water and vitamins (B) and I have been on creatine for almost two years. Im not worried at all, but if someone was in the similar situation it would help to hear about it.My typical work out routine consists of 45 minutes of lifting, 25 minutes on a bike and 20 minutes in a sauna. I eat twice a day, high fiber, high carbs, high protein. I also ingest two servings of creatine and potent protein on a daily basis. I take a multivitamin with high Vitamin B3, 200% niacin. I also eat a lot of cran-grapes more
