I've done really well on my other 3 essays, but I'm worried about my last one that is worth 15% of my grade. Why?
I could scarcely believe my ears this morning when the Radio 4 News said that a vehicle with the casket containing 'a hip bone and a foot of St Thesesa' was being taken into Wormwood Scrubbs Prison! Veneration of people is a superstitious thing to do and worse than pointless. The dead cannot even praise God, the Scriptures tell us. These same bones went on, it seems, to Westminster Cathedral for further adulation in a service this afternoon.Lives7: you do quote some strange examples. The bones under the alter are, if I remember correctly, in the Book of Revelation and were a vision of what was to come. There is a lot of symbology there that you may have missed. The shaddow of the apostle healing the sick was the live apostle.http/w: Yes, that is the problem isn't it. The Bible is the inspired word of God, man's traditions should not be substituted. I love love love the song "City on our knees." They talk about Cathedrals in the song. I listen to that song every morning on the radio on the way to school. moreVoting Question: Do some humans have supernatural abilities?
I don't know whether i have the ability or not, or maybe i just don't understand and perhaps it is only weak. Recently i haven't had any "strange" occurrences, but in my past i did. I used to be able to see what grades i would get on different pieces of school work, and sometimes, not intentionally would know the topic that i needed to study for my exams. Furthermore, i described to my close friend what our prom would look like and it all came true. It would be just before i go to bed, and i would almost black out and a bright white light would appear, and i would be an orb hovering over whatever was happening. Its like lottery numbers as well, i can always see them before they come up. Sometimes, i would be able to tell what people were thinking before they would even say it. It would be like finishing peoples sentences. Once i got my father in trouble when i blurted out that he was having an affair, which he was. My mind would go blank and i would say things i didn't mean to, as i had no control. The last thing was when i went to belgium. I had never been before and i was on an exchange, i was walking through the town centre, and i stopped, and a great fear rushed through me. It actually felt, horrible as if something very bad had happened, but what i was looking at was just a wide empty space. Later on that week, we went back to the town centre, and to my astonishment i discovered that there has been Cathedral there, previously, and it had burnt down with perhaps people inside. A similar feeling when looking at some pictures a friend brought home from France, i explained to him what i felt about them, and he told me, that something terrible had happened within the village. Other "weird things" were like one night when i woke up listening to a radio, like a static no signal radio, with just a few words, which i couldn't make out, when i walked over to my radio it wasn't even on, the electricity was turned off and everything, the plug not even in the socket, so the sound came within my cupboard, which is next to my radio, but its only full of clothes, so i thought it strange, as soon as i touched the handle it stopped, and every night i get the feeling that something is watching me sleep. I don't mind, because it doesn't bother me, but if there here for answers, i feel bad because i don't know how i can help them. I don't know how to connect almost. One more thing that happened, was when i was Egypt and i was about to go inside the pyramid. I am a very claustrophobic person, but my mother persuaded me to go in. I worried before i did, my sister turnt round and told me to not be scared. As i soon as i touched the side of the pyramid, and said "I don't want to go in", the lights went out and we got told to step back from the pyramid. Obviously my mum wasn't happy, so we went away from 15 mins and they got some tourches and were about to go in again when the tourch stopped working, luckily for them there was another at hand and eventually we did go into the pyramid, but i never understood, why that happened. Or why any of this has happened. If anything, i just want to know if people have had stuff like this too, and if they have learnt whether to control it, and whether there is a skill to have your ability grow. Obviously i wouldn't use it for bad things, but i just want to know if i have something special and whether i can make it grow. Thank you. moreResolved Question: Antique Zenith Radio Rebuild Help?

Your thoughts?
MIAMI (Reuters) – A popular U.S. Roman Catholic priest photographed frolicking with a woman on a Florida beach announced on Thursday he had joined the Episcopal Church to pursue the priesthood in a faith that allows married clergy. "I've seen with my own eyes how many brothers of mine serve God as married men and with the blessing of having their own families," said Father Alberto Cutie, whose removal from his Miami Beach parish prompted public debate about the Catholic Church's celibacy requirement for priests. The charismatic 40-year-old is a well-known religious leader in Miami who dispensed relationship advice on Spanish-language television shows, church radio programs and newspaper columns. He was relieved of his duties at St. Francis de Sales parish in Miami Beach earlier this month after the entertainment magazine TVnotas published photos of him in swim trunks, snuggling and kissing a woman on the sands of a beach in Florida. Cutie later said he had fallen in love with the woman and broken his vow of celibacy. He apologized for his behavior, but told the Univision Spanish-language television network, "I didn't stop being a man just because I put on a cassock. There are trousers under this cassock." The woman in the photographs, identified in media reports as Ruhama Canellis, stood at Cutie's side as he held a news conference at Trinity Cathedral, where the couple underwent a ceremony to join the Episcopalians. The Episcopalian church is part of the Anglican Communion, which traces its roots to the Church of England, formed when King Henry VIII split from the Roman Catholic Church in order to divorce and remarry. moreResolved Question: Do you agree with this case against a bishop re church bells?
Phoenix bishop found guilty for 'unreasonably' loud bells Every hour for the past year the bells ring at Cathedral of Christ the King in North Phoenix, but those bells could soon be silenced. “I still can’t figure out what law I have broken, but I was found guilty today in court,” said Bishop Rick Painter. Painter was convicted of two counts of creating “an unreasonably loud, disturbing and unnecessary noise.” “We’re expressing our religion we glorify God by the bells,” he said. The City of Phoenix sent this statement to ABC 15: “The City of Phoenix Prosecutor's Office charged Rick Painter with 2 counts of a Phoenix City Code Violation of § 23-12 for creating "an unreasonably loud, disturbing and unnecessary noise." The listed dates of violation are March 16, 2008 and March 26, 2008. The charges were a result of neighborhood complaints of the church bells ringing every half hour on the March 16th date of violation and hourly on the March 26th date of violation. At all times, the neighbors complained the bells were ringing at a high volume. Though the complaints list a single date, we do that for legal reasons, but the neighbors testified the ringing was ongoing and continues to this day.” In court today some neighbors said the bells are disturbing and keep them captive in their homes. We tested the decibel levels of the chime on a sound level meter from Radio Shack. We tested it from three different locations; across Greenway Road, across a smaller neighborhood street and in the church's parking lot. Each time the levels came in lower than the traffic noise in the area. Several times our meter indicated that it was “lo”, too low to even register on our device. Some neighbors we talked to said they find the bells annoying, but others said they enjoy them. “Don’t bother me at all. I look forward to hearing it. Sometimes I come out and sit on the porch just so I can hear it,” said one neighbor. Bishop Painter wonders what’s next. “They don’t like what I have preached about because it may not be politically correct and they sue for that?" he asked. "Where do we draw those lines?” Painter will be sentenced June 3rd. END OF STORY So, is this against the church or against the noise. I have been following the comments and one in particular stands out. He said that as an athiest, he doesn't want to be subjected to church bells every hour during the day. Love to get your input on this! http://www.abc15.com/mostpopular/story/Phoenix-bishop-found-guilty-for-unreasonably-loud/Cf-4SwBd9E2R_qqibplslQ.cspx moreResolved Question: Can you look at my list and suggest more places to see in Manhattan?

I live in Illinois (not Chicago), and I'm going on a trip to New York City with a lot of kids from my high school's arts department (band students, orchestra students, drama club). We'll be there for 3 and a half days (we're leaving in late afternoon), and I need some advice. Our itinerary states the places we'll be going to: Radio City Music Hall for a backstage tour, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trump Tower, a Broadway show (we haven't decided on one yet, what should we see?), NBC's Today Show, breakfast at Planet Hollywood, NBC Studio tour, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, dinner at Mars 2112, a city tour on buses, NY Waterways 90-minute Harbor Cruise, shopping at Times Square, dinner at John's Pizzeria, Rockefeller Center's Top of the Rock, Museum of Natural History, and last minute shopping in Times Square or 5th Avenue. That's a lot of stuff we're doing, so I need your advice. What can we expect from the places we're going to see? Also, I really need advice on where to shop. My group is probably going to be all boys, so we need some good places to shop at. We should have lots of money to spend, but we don't want to go to fancy department stores. Have you ever read her biography in wikipedia or anywhere else? It somewhat a bit confusing to me. I know that she is pretty an infamous figure in the opera/classical scene and many real opera musicians/experts despise her & consider her only a poser. Well, if she was really that bad, then how the hell did she receive so many awards and win so many competitions? I just don’t get it. I’ve listened to her & I do agree she’s not that good. But I’m baffled at the fact how she managed to achieve these: - when she was little she achieved Grade 8 distinctions in singing and piano - she was a member of the Royal School of Church Music Cathedral Singers, where she achieved the St Cecilia Award, which was & still is, the highest RSCM award for female choristers - she won the BET Welsh Choirgirl of the Year - she won the BBC Radio 2 Welsh Choirgirl of the Year contest twice - she was also awarded the Pelenna Valley Male Voice Choir Scholarship for the most promising young singer - she won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London - not to mention she won Classical BRIT Awards for Album of the Year twice in a row & she now stands as the first female artist to win two consecutive Classical BRIT Awards. I also read that when she was a little girl, she shattered a chandelier when she hit the high notes while singing "O Holy Night" at her local church (dunno if it’s true, though). I’m just confused. I mean, it would’ve made sense if she won awards for “Top Selling Classical Artist” or “Most Favourite Classical Artist”, yet she bagged the top prizes for, what I can see, legitimate singing competitions. How did she do that? If she really is lacking in the talent department, then how did she manage to win all those talent competitions? p.s : Again, I’m not trying to bash or defend Jenkins. I don’t like her but I don’t hate her either. I ask bcoz I’m confused, that’s all.LOL Thank you, Helen C. Yeah it surprised me as well that she won the scholarship to the Royal Academy and actually graduated from there, when there are so many opera people who reject her.LOL I dunno, del_icious man_ager, I've never really heard those competitions before so I dunno about the level of their prestige. Perhaps you can tell me what are the vocal competitions considered to be the most prestigious or the most respected in opera/classical music? moreResolved Question: Is this a good price for a trip to New York?

Does It You?
Just to make sure this was true, I went on Oprah's website and there it is. The below article is very interesting, so I thought I would share. Oprah joins false prophets Bible warned about http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/007/smith-oprah.htm or "Oprah and Friends" to teach course on New Age Christ Jesus Christ being reinvented, redefined, and blasphemed and, this false New- Age Christ teaching is about to make huge inroads into the world, with the help of t he queen of television talk shows, Oprah Winfrey. Oprah Winfrey, began January 1, 2008, on her daily radio program will offer a year-long course on the New Age Christ , in a lesson a day and completely cover the 365 lessons from the Course in Miracles "Workbook." Listeners were encouraged to buy A Course in Miracles for the year-long course, and an audio version, recited by Richard (John BoyWalton) Thomas will be available on compact disc. Those who finish the Course will have a wholly redefined spiritual mindset-a New Age worldview that include the beliefs that there is no sin, no evil, no devil. A Course in Miracles teaches its students to rethink everything they believe about God and life, and, bluntly states: "This is a course in mind training" and is dedicated to "thought reversal." The Course in Miracles -in reality-is the truth of the Bible turned upside down. Oprah told her television audience that Williamson's book, A Course in Miracles was one of her favorite books, and that she had already bought a thousand copies and would be handing them out to everyone in her studio audience. Oprah's endorsement skyrocketed Williamson's book to the top of the New York Times bestseller list . A Course in Miracles is allegedly a "new revelation" from "Jesus" to help humanity work through these troubled times. This "Jesus"-who bears no doctrinal resemblance to the Bible's Jesus Christ-began delivering channeled teachings in 1965 to a Columbia University Professor of Medical Psychology, Helen Schucman. One day Schucman heard an "inner voice" stating, "This is a course in miracles. Please take notes." For seven years she diligently took spiritual dictation from this voice that described himself as "Jesus." Here are some quotes from the "Jesus" voice of A Course in Miracles : . "There is no sin . . . " . A "slain Christ has no meaning." . "The journey to the cross should be the last ' useless journey." . "Do not make the pathetic error of 'clinging to the old rugged cross.'" . "The Name of Jesus Christ as such is but a symbol... It is a symbol that is safely used as a replacement for the many names of all the gods to which you pray." . "The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself." . "The Atonement is the final lesson he [man] need learn, for it teaches him that, never having sinned, he has no need of salvation." Popular author Wayne Dyer told his PBS television audience that the "brilliant writing" of A Course in Miracles would produce more peace in the world. The Course in Miracles-based book, Forgiveness, continues to be sold in Robert Schuller's Crystal Cathedral bookstore as Schuller prepares to host a January 17-19, 2008, "Rethink Conference" at his Crystal Cathedral. 2 Timothy 3 (King James Version) King James Version (KJV) 2 Timothy 3 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. It's not surprising at all that Oprah Winfrey is supporting Barak Obama!!! Christians.....Take heed!! And PLEASE pass this one on.....if you never forward anything else!Yes Indeed there r more examples of bad Christians then there r good. I will grant U that. The only reason people take this course because they can no longer live in fear of be held accountable by a higher power then themselves. In the end u can not claim I did not know. You knew. You ignored. Is This the beginning of the end. In the Bible it tells us of false phrophets and false God in the end times. So is this the Beginning of the END????????????????? Do you agree? I sure do and see the demise of Europe Moscow, December 6, Interfax - If European nations abandon their Christian roots, they are doomed to disappear from the historical arena, Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia said. "Modern Europe will not create a new post-Christian culture and civilization but will simply vanish from history," Alexy II said at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow on Wednesday evening. "Losing their Christian roots, the people of Europe will sign their own death warrant," he said. Alexy II recalled that he talked about "the need to preserve moral Christian values," without which "it is hard to imagine European culture and Europe itself," in his speech at the PACE in October this year. I heard a terrifically awful song on the radio the other day. It involved a woman singing about how she was going to drive a man crazy with her 'lovely lady lumps' (Good God, was that supposed to be sexy? Failure!) and her 'hump'. My question for you good people: what is she talking about? Her 'hump'? Is she a bell-ringer at a French cathedral, or is this some new slang? Her rear end, perhaps? Please enlighten this old lady. moreResolved Question: what is the name of this song?
