Open Question: Why do I get 'javascript:void(0)' message and no sound when I click on the AIM "Can't see this image"?

My friend has been trying sign up for AIM for past 2 days now. 1) Can't see the security image. 2) When we click on the "Can't see this image" link no sound but the javascript error appears in status bar. I've tried this on 3 separate computers, all with latest Javascript. On 2 occasions (once each on 2 separate computers) the security code was there until I ticked the radio button saying I wanted to use existing email address. Once it disappeared, there was no way to get it back. Clearing cookies didn't work. Restarting didn't work. Disabling popups didn't work. Firefox browser used. The fact that the image FLEETINGLY appeared twice is baffling. I'm at my wits end! more

I've been having some trouble with my Laptop, for about 2 Hours. The Computer is a Dell Inspiron 1521 Laptop, and it simply won't let me use the Internet. When connected to my home network, which I'm sure works, because I'm posting this right now from my Desktop, connected to my home network, it simply says, "Currently connected to: Unidentified network (Network Name) Access: Local Only" The Icon is the two blue monitors side to side, without the Globe. Things I've read: It may have been switched off via a FN Code. Anyone know the code to reenable? Also that there may be a switch on the laptop itself to enable/disable wireless. All I see is the Wifi switch (ON), and a small button with a Radio Tower next to it. This button is in the Laptop, and really you can't press it, even with the tip of a pen. Simply, it doesn't go in. I have recently applied for a position that I passionately want at my local police department as a telecommunicator. It is a great paying job with great benefit options, and that's just what I'm looking for. This job is in a unique setting. It is our county's Central Dispatch. I will be communicating with individuals who call in an emergency situation via telephone, law enforcement officials over the radio network, fire, ems, street department, and campus security individuals. I want to go through this process the best I can. Applicants must successfully pass a Peer Board Interview, Psychological Screening, Polygraph, and Medical exam. Does anyone have any tips? One specific question I have is what is the proper attire for this process? I've gone through interviews with companies and have dressed according to their dress code, but this seems to be unique. EXCERPT from Blog posted at major Newspaper (today Friday March 12) Last week, the conservative broadcaster Glenn Beck called on Christians to leave their churches if they heard any preaching about social or economic justice because, he claimed, those were slogans affiliated with Nazism and Communism. This week, the Rev. Jim Wallis, a liberal evangelical leader in Washington, D.C., called on Christians to leave Glenn Beck. “What he has said attacks the very heart of our Christian faith, and Christians should no longer watch his show,” Mr. Wallis, who heads the antipoverty group Sojourners, wrote on his “God’s Politics” blog. “His show should now be in the same category as Howard Stern.” Mr. Beck, in vilifying churches that promote “social justice,” managed to insult just about every mainline Protestant, Roman Catholic, African-American, Hispanic and Asian congregation in the country — not to mention plenty of evangelical ones. Even Mormon scholars in Mr. Beck’s own church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, said in interviews that Mr. Beck seemed ignorant of just how central social justice teaching was to Mormonism. The controversy began when Mr. Beck said on his radio show: “I beg you, look for the words ’social justice’ or ‘economic justice’ on your church Web site. If you find it, run as fast as you can. Social justice and economic justice, they are code words. “Am I advising people to leave their church? Yes! If I am going to Jeremiah Wright’s church,” he said, referring to the incendiary black pastor who led the church attended by the Obama family members when they lived in Chicago. “If you have a priest that is pushing social justice, go find another parish. Go alert your bishop and tell them, ‘Excuse me, are you down with this whole social justice thing?’ ” Religious bloggers, from the Rev. James Martin, an editor at the liberal Jesuit magazine America, to Joe Carter, at the conservative magazine First Things, took Mr. Beck’s decree as possibly an attack on Catholic teaching, and definitely an affront to Christianity. Father Martin wrote on the Huffington Post: “It is not enough simply to help the poor, one must address the structures that keep them that way. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist.’ ” Mr. Beck himself is a convert to Mormonism, a faith that identifies itself as part of the Christian family, but which is nevertheless rejected by many Christians. Two Mormon scholars said in interviews that social justice is integral to Mormon teaching too. Kent P. Jackson, associate dean of religion at Brigham Young University, said in an interview: “My own experience as a believing Latter-day Saint over the course of 60 years is that I have seen social justice in practice in every L.D.S. congregation I’ve been in. People endeavor with all of our frailties and shortcomings to love one another and to lift up other people. So if that’s Beck’s definition of social justice, he and I are definitely not on the same team.” Philip Barlow, the Arrington Professor of Mormon History and Culture at Utah State University, said: “One way to read the Book of Mormon is that it’s a vast tract on social justice. It’s ubiquitous in the Book of Mormon to have the prophetic figures, much like in the Hebrew Bible, calling out those who are insensitive to injustices. “A lot of Latter-day Saints would think that Beck was asking them to leave their own church.” Mr. Barlow said that Mr. Beck’s comments were particularly ill-timed because just this year, the church’s highest authority, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, issued a new “Handbook of Instructions” to church leaders in which they revised the church’s “three-fold mission” and added a fourth mission statement: care for the poor. more

Friend has a 69 chevy and a old Majestic MCR1100F shaft style car stereo. I've looked all over the internet to find a wiring schematic for this old beast with no luck. Anyone know the color codes for one of these old radios? I know the case is ground and red is positive as the light will come on and tape player plays but finding which wires go together for speakers is crazy. Open Question: how to program my car radio?

(this is after the battery's been changed) I've got a 1997 Kia Credos with a generic assigned Alpine car stereo. It's so unspecial it doesn't even have a model number, just whatever went with the car. The manufacturer says press in the code and press volume or select button. I got the code and did that but the darn thing does one of two things whenever I follow: 1) it flashes back to CODE CODE CODE 2) it flashes to HOLD and then the next time I turn off/on the stereo the radio comes on but it's only like a sampling because the radio is still flashing and a few minutes after it goes back to CODE CODE CODE Help! I have a 2002 audi a4 and my check engine light came on after having my car fixed for over 6.5 weeks. I went to have it checked out they told me the code said something about the radio, the man said it could be from me leaving the radio on while the car is off, which i dont do or there is some kind of pump broken. He said it the check engine light comes back on it is the pump. So im bringing it Wednesday to have this "pump" installed in the radio? Hi all Just bought this car. i haven't received radio code. after entering wrong code. it showing Err message on a panel. and on manual it says ,if you enter wrong code more than 3 time. then you need whole system replacing. I have been goggling and found couple of solution like one below Step one:- press one at a time- preset 6, AM, Auto M, Seek ^ (up). Step Two:-Input this number, 4989. Step Three:- Press and hold Auto M and Preset 6 together. Step Four:- The Word 'GOOD' will appear on the screen indicated that the radio will work. Step Five:- Reprogram new Antitheft code into radio as per instrution manual. BUT this doesn't seems to work. Spoke to Mazda dealer they are charging me £50 for it. please help Thanks Tarun more

Voting Question: Honda accord radio/navigation not working?

I bought a used 2004 honda accord back in may and wanted to remove the aftermarket amp that the previous owner had installed. After completing the uninstall, and hooking all the speakers back up, the radio will not turn on. I was able to eject a cd from it, and all the buttons light up when i turn the headlights on, but that is it. I cant enter the code because nothing shows up for me to do that. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. This is the navigation unit. Even the climate control will work. Any suggestions??? more

Hi, I'm looking to build one of those Altoid-tin Morse code radios. Someone had told me the overall cost would be around $10, but it turned out they were wrong - kits run about $50+ on the internet. Would it be cheaper to go to a physical store and buy the parts there, and if so do you have any recommendations of where to go? The only place I can think of is Radioshack, but they seem more oriented towards computers (sell graphics/sound cards, monitors, etc). Thanks! more
