Resolved Question: Why do you think my actions in this situation are bothering my Boyfriend?
My very best friend since the age of 10 (we are now 23 and 24) just had a baby girl. She is 3 1/2 weeks old. I have gone to see her three times at home since she was born. I am making my bestfriend a scrapbook of her wedding and of the baby so every time I go over I take a ton of pictures. I usually put about 5 up from each session on the computer and tag her in them so she has them and so ppl. can see them, because I am very, very excited about having this little baby in my life! I have a little photo album with her pictures in it and I show ppl. who I think would care, as my family knows her very well and I know her family very well. We are all excited, my Aunt, Mom and Sister in law all bought her gifts for the baby. My boyfriend seems to be quite bothered by this lately. He made a comment to me the other day that I am being a little bit annoying about the baby. He said that I am going to start annoying ppl. with all the pictures. And then last night, I was adding a couple of pics to my facebook and he was like
"Before you know it you're going to have 2,000 pictures of her. Can we set a once a month limit of adding the pictures?? It's not like it's your kid. Yeah, she's a cute kid, but c'mon"
He said something to that degree. And I didn't really respond. I then asked my Bestfriend if this bothered her and she said no, not at all, she saidshe loves that I lover her baby and I am proud of her!
What do you thinkis going on? Is it simply that I am just annoying him or is there more to this? I really don't think it would annoy me if he was excited about his bestfriendhaving a baby?? I don't get it.Since one person who answered felt that I was neglecting my Boyfriend let me make it very clear that when I do go to visit my bestfriend's baby it is when he is at work and I make sur eI am home in time to make him dinner...and he is on the computer far more then I am.

Ok,
so i know that everyone is entitled to do what ever they want..but still.
I started a scrapbook for my baby, and had been posting my progress of it on facebook. A few of the other pregnant teen girls I have on my facebook asked me where to get the stuff to do this, and really I thought nothing of it until this morning when I was looking at new pictures people had put on and one pf the girls had started doing what I had done, posting the progress of hers on facebook..but she was taking all the credit for it!
People where commenting on her pictures saying how she was so creative for coming up with this blah blah blah, when it was me who came up with it, not her, she just used my idea!
AND THEN, she had something written on the album that i had in my status a few days ago, about how much I love my baby, how young or old I am will never change that.
I know Im probably going to get a bunch of negative feed back from this.. but im extremely hormonal right now, and I needed to vent, and I thought why not do it where no one know you.. but anyway.
No question, just a vent.

What are you doing to preserve memories for your baby?
I'm looking for some more ideas. I keep a babybook for her, I have a couple of different photo albums going, and I have digital scrapbook that I make at Scrapblog.com, that I make pages and get printed once a week to give out to my family and friends. My mother is a collage artist, so we often make collages and what not using her pictures as well.
What sort of things are you doing for your baby?
I plan on taking clothes that she grew out of during in first year, and turning them into a memory quilt, that way we can be reminded of her favorite outfits later on too.Also, what other things are you planning on keeping? I kept some of her preemie outfits, including the one she came home from the hospital in as well as the hat they put on her after birth and the blanket they handed her to me in. I also kept all our hospital bracelets, hospital cards, and hearing test certificate.

What do you think? We blacked out what the ultrasound tech said so that you won't necessarily be persuaded to agree (so that we could get unbias opinions)... AND, we've placed a star around the genitals. The ultrasound tech used the wrong arrows, so they are pointing ABOVE the genitals... to the back of the baby's leg.
... anyways, what do you think?...

I have found that many people enjoy having scrapbooks of their weddings, babies, vacations, or anything else that contains fond memories for them. However, many individuals do not have the time or the money to begin this expensive and time consuming activity. So, I've been thinking of beginning a small business in which I would make scrapbooks for these individuals.

1. What type of scrapbook would you be interested in having made? None, Digital, Traditional or both Digital and Traditional?
2. How much would you pay for a custom-made 8x8 digital album? 12x12 digital album? 8x8 traditional album? 12x12 traditional album? (Assume all books have 20 2 page spreads)
3. How quickly would you like to receive your completed album?
4. Would you prefer to have the journaling (stories to go along with the pictures) done for you or to have a spot left where you could journal yourself?
5. Would you prefer the convenience of having me take care of copying original photos and printing digital photos for you or to print/copy your photos yourself?
6. Would you be willing to meet for a 20-30 minute consultation so that I can understand your style preference and gain stories for journalling or would you rather do everything online?

Im 37 weeks pregnant with a little boy and our first child. Im trying to find a kit to make a scrapbook for him. I know I could make one from scratch myself, I am an artist after all. But Im a first time parent and dont want to overwhelm myself too much and then never get the book done. Id also like to have a box to put things in like a newspaper from the day of his birth and other memorable stuff, photo albums etc. I really dont want anything too frilly or cutesy with lace or Winnie the pooh because thats just not me. My mother past away in 1996. My sister took Power of Attorney over her "Will" & I was left with nothing. I phoned my sister a few weeks after my mothers death & asked her to please U.S. Mail me all of my personal photo's that were left in the family photo albums (approx. 20)...Grade School Pics, School Dance Pics, Child-Hood Boyfriends, etc...
My sister told me that she had U.S. Mailed them to me...but I NEVER received them. When I asked her about them she told me that they must of gotten lost in the mail. I have been heart-striken since then. Just devastated.
I haven't seen nor heard from my sister since as well.
One day about a year ago, I was visiting my daughter (Jennifer 20yrs) & she showed me a "ScrapBook" that her Aunt (my sister) had made & just had given to her. When I browsed it...I noticed my Grade School Photo's, my Baby pics, my High School Dance pics, etc. mostly of my childhood memories & special moments. When I asked my daughter for the ScrapBook...she refused.Well I forgot to mention...my daughter told me that she would have a copy made of the scrapbook my sister had made & given to her...of "My Personal Photo's"...however, now she refuses to even speak to me. Now what?After my mother past away...my sister took it upon herself to make each of my grown kids' "ScrapBooks"...of all of my "Personal Photo's" that had been in the 20 family photo albums. This is after she had lied to me...telling me that she had U.S. mailed me all of my Personal Photo's. & when I questioned their whereabouts...she then flat out lied to me. When I asked my daughter to make a copy of this "ScrapBook"...she agreed to do so...but now since then my daughter refuses to speak to me...& refuses to explain why she is not speaking to me.

I'm using Microsoft Word to create the pages. I plan on printing them out and placing them in a three ring baby album. I have searched for days (literally) and cannot find any templates or pictures or anything. I can't be the only person to ever do this right? So where can I get graphics, clipart, borders, for use in the baby book? I should mention that I do NOT want to create a scrapbook and I don't want "country" type graphics. OK, I'm throwing a baby shower and I wanted to give my sister in law a book that i can put a copy of the invite, advice cards, cards that come with the presents, pictures, etc. I see that there are many sizes of scrapbooks to use. I wanted a large size (you know that cards come in all sizes). What size should I buy? The album is pink so low and behold I was in walmart in the wedding section and saw these bed of white rose heads. I often hear about people creating "theme" albums (for example, to commemorate a trip, a wedding, a baby album, etc.) however, what about if you have ideas for pages that you want to scrap that cannot possibly be made into an entire album and do not share a common theme with any other pages that I make. In my case, some of the ideas I have are to create a page about a bracelet that has special meaning to me, and a page about my worst fears, etc. Should I just put all the pages in one book about myself? What about the fact that the pages don't coordinate (different colors, elements?) I would also like to make an album for my brother, but again, about random stuff (my brother's love affair with his car, his surfer boy image, his hopes and dreams, and the like.) Any recommendations, or examples of how you organize your albums, would be greatly appreciated!Thank you all.

Before I got pregnant I got a lot of jerks saying it wasn't okay to buy a few baby things.
I bought a pregnancy book to know what to expect when I did get pregnant and I bought little things like a photo album, a scrapbook and a memory recorder? (All gender netural)
I didn't buy stuff like clothes, furniture, bedding, etc.
It was just a few books and I got a lot of hassel for that! God forbid someone actually PLAN a pregnancy now a days, huh?
Please tell me I am not the only one who did this! :)

My cousin is not pregnant yet, she plans to get pregnant next year with her first child.
She already bought a scrapbook, a photo album, a baby memento box and books on pregnancy. She also picked out a crib bedding set and nursery decorations that she really wanted and bought them now incase they weren't available next year. She hasn't purchased furniture yet.
All the stuff she bought is in colors for a boy or girl, she said she is just preparring and is really excited about starting a family.
Has anyone you known done this?She has been married for a couple of years.
