Open Question: I need help making a simple blogger template?

Either they look like a page out of a scrapbook or they're all computer generated and feel fake. The ones with nice scenery are usually very small pictures off to one corner with a colored background showing everywhere else =/ I've tried finding a template that I liked everything except the background picture and copy and pasting this over their background picture but that's not working... (worked with myspace, lol) Anyway if anyone could help that would be awesome! I'm hoping to get a slightly transparent white or light green (matching the leaves) area for my main bars with an inset brown (matching bark of the tree) border and black script. I know its a long shot asking but I cant seem to make heads or tails of the free blogger template editors. more

Resolved Question: Why do you think my actions in this situation are bothering my Boyfriend?

My very best friend since the age of 10 (we are now 23 and 24) just had a baby girl. She is 3 1/2 weeks old. I have gone to see her three times at home since she was born. I am making my bestfriend a scrapbook of her wedding and of the baby so every time I go over I take a ton of pictures. I usually put about 5 up from each session on the computer and tag her in them so she has them and so ppl. can see them, because I am very, very excited about having this little baby in my life! I have a little photo album with her pictures in it and I show ppl. who I think would care, as my family knows her very well and I know her family very well. We are all excited, my Aunt, Mom and Sister in law all bought her gifts for the baby. My boyfriend seems to be quite bothered by this lately. He made a comment to me the other day that I am being a little bit annoying about the baby. He said that I am going to start annoying ppl. with all the pictures. And then last night, I was adding a couple of pics to my facebook and he was like "Before you know it you're going to have 2,000 pictures of her. Can we set a once a month limit of adding the pictures?? It's not like it's your kid. Yeah, she's a cute kid, but c'mon" He said something to that degree. And I didn't really respond. I then asked my Bestfriend if this bothered her and she said no, not at all, she saidshe loves that I lover her baby and I am proud of her! What do you thinkis going on? Is it simply that I am just annoying him or is there more to this? I really don't think it would annoy me if he was excited about his bestfriendhaving a baby?? I don't get it.Since one person who answered felt that I was neglecting my Boyfriend let me make it very clear that when I do go to visit my bestfriend's baby it is when he is at work and I make sur eI am home in time to make him dinner...and he is on the computer far more then I am. more

Resolved Question: Please help with Mac Office update 12.1.0!?

Hi guys, I'm looking for some help to install an update for Mac Office 08 on my computer. I have not been able to install this "critical" update on my computer and it is starting to drive me crazy! The update number is Mac 12.2.0 and I'll run through some of the messages I receive at nausea! When I open any Mac Office application the following pops up: Office might be unable to access the database or the database file might be damaged. Without the database you might be unable to use the Address Book, Scrapbook, and other features that store your personal information. To rebuild the database, open Microsoft Office 2008/Office, and then open the Microsoft Database Utility. For more information, open the Database Utility application, and on the Help menu, click Database Utility Help. Okay now I have done all of the, and repaired/verified the database and still this message comes up every single time I open an application. I don't know if this is a result of the update issue, but I would certainly appreciate a resolution to this as well! Okay now when I try to update with this 12.1.0 updater it says the following: You cannot install Office 2008 SP1 Update (12.1.0) on this volume. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume. I have looked through and read the microsoft website searching for an answer that isn't reinstall the program and I can't find one. I am a university student, my product key and version are valid, just the installation disc is a long way from where I now go to school! Any help is greatly appreciated!! more

I am noticing a lot of correlations between American History in the mid-1800's -(Jacksonian Period up to the beginning of the Civil War) - & today... I would like to write a paper on it; including, pictures, cartoons, caricatures, etc., but I'm having a difficult time finding everything that I would like to include; plus, I'm also helping a student with a huge scrapbook on many of such subjects for AP American History. Resolved Question: Help with Christmas present ideas?

I just had knee surgery a week ago and I was only able to hit the mall once a couple weeks ago and couldn't find anything nice for my parents. now i have a brace on my knee that stops it from bending so i use crutches. now that i cant really get around, i have no idea what to do for my parents this Christmas. obviously i cant go buy something now so i was trying to come up with ideas of what i can make at home. i was thinking about doing something on the computer like a cool slide show or a scrapbook with my scrapbook program. i cant really cook because i cant move around the kitchen right now. i thought about making a craft but all the supplies are in the basement and i would rather not give away what im doing for my parents to them if i ask them to bring them up. any ideas for someone who cant get around too well? i can walk but its a hassle to go to a store because my mom or dad would have to drive me which gives it away and im on crutches...so, ya. any ideas please??? thank you in advance! more

Resolved Question: Just wondering how come old people fall asleep so much while out & about?

No disrespect because my dad is old now and he falls asleep just about anywhere but that could also be because he's a smidge on the chunky side too. Often times we pose next to him for a picture while he's taking a quick nap. It's a hoot. I'm making a scrapbook to surprise him with for Christmas this year. I've got about 25+ pictures from all over. At a wedding reception, several mall benches, in the car, at the dinner table, on the couch, standing in line at the drugstore or market, on the shoe stool at Payless, watering his rose bushes, bbq during the 4th of July, facedown on his computer keyboard with Y!A up. One time he was sleeping and farted so loud he woke himself up at the King's Crab Chinese Buffet!! Hahahaha!!! Anyway thanks for your thoughts. more

Voting Question: Bored out of my mind and not even one week in!!!?

Ok so school holidays. Gotta love them right. No. I have seven weeks of holidays at the moment and we're only two days in and im bored out of my mind already so I need help finding things to do. Sorry about the length of this question, I guess it just proves my point. I live out of town, a very small town, not built with the amusement of teenagers in mind. There is no mall or clothing shops and I have no money. I am 16 years old, so I can't drive anywhere either. I can't invite friends over because I only have one friend and he talks less then I do, we are only ok when we are in a group or with others who talk alot. and he annoys me alot sometimes anyway. My boyfriend was over yesterday and theres no point txting him because he is usually busy or has nothing to say so replies with one word texts. I don't own video games, nor do I play them. I do not play computer games or own them either except the sims 2 but I have played that so much that it is now boring and repedative. I can't cook something because we dont have any ingredients as we have no money and no-one here cooks or eats cakes and that stuff anyway. I don't enjoy writting stories and I do not own a diary, nor do I plan on starting one. I also don't own photo albumns. and I don't scrapbook, or want to. I spend my life on MSN so thats boring to. I have a myspace that I hardly use as there is nothing to do on it. Youtube is just boring now, i think we have all surfed youtube way too many times. I can't sleep because I only woke up an hour or so ago. I don't own a bike and I dont like running or going for walks, especially as it is australian summer so it is easy to get burnt and I dont want to be burnt, or get a tan. I can't redocorate y room as I have nothing to redecorate with, and I can't rearrange it as everything is too heavy for me to move. I dont take photos of myself or dress up, I hate cameras. Besides my camera battery is flat. I cant go swimming as I do not own swimmers that fit, nor do I have the money or ways of getting new ones. I don't sew or knit, I dont have the patience or attention span for it. And did you know no matter how long I stare at the white room it NEVER changes colour? True story. Don't try it, it doesn't help with boredom. Oh and I can't listen to music because my sister and her friend have their music up so loud its vibrating the house and I can't cover it. So yeah if you can of anything for a 16 year old female to do that would be very handy. Thankyou in advance.I hate school holidays as much as school, they both bore the hell out of me. Resolved Question: Scrapbooking with several themes in mind?

So I'm new to scrapbooking and I've been taking pictures since I was 13. I'm 19 now and it's safe to say I have over 1000 pictures saved on my computer, and over time I intend to have them all printed off. In the meantime my pictures usually have these themes: Family Pets My boyfriend/me "The Group"- 6 of my friends hanging out as a group a lot. Resolved Question: What is a creative way to "scrapbook" for my school club?

I am the Historian/Secretary of my high school's Environmental Club, and one of by major projects for the year is to make a scrapbook kind of presentation for important events that we sponsor, weekly recycling, meetings, ect. I want to make something really creative and innovative. I was thinking of possibly making both a normal scrapbook kind of thing as well as a digital slide show with motion effects set to a nice song. But I just don't know how to pull it all together. I have a lot of experience in graphic art and computers, so that shouldn't be a problem, but what program do you think I should use to make is really snappy and savvy? Also, kind of random but how much do you think it would cost for a tray of mums from Home Depot or a similar store? Resolved Question: Why won't my computer recognize the Sims 2 disk?

I recently received a computer from a relative of mine. I don't know much about computers except that its Windows XP, like the main computer in my house, and it doesn't have internet. The problem is that it won't run the Sims 2 so I can install it. In fact, it won't even recognize that there is a disk in the disk drive! It works fine for all other discs I put in, and it seems pretty up to date so I don't think its a problem with the operating system. And there's nothing wrong with the disc because it works just fine (although a very slow and a bit buggy in the scrapbook feature) in my main computer. Any ideas? more

Okay so, i used to have this cat named cleo (i have a cat and dog) cause one day my sister just randomly brought her home, and cleo was a grey kitten and i really liked her and we had her for awhile but then we gave her away cause she kept peeing everywhere.... you'll see why i told u that, on with my dream! I keep having this dream where i'm in this room and theres all these cats, like ALOT, and i'm looking for cleo, and i know i am because i keep picking up the grey ones and saying "Nope, your not cleo" so i'm looking for her and i see this door in the wall (kinda like in Coraline) So i crouch down and crawl into it and i'm outside on my street. So i walk to my house, and theres this scrapbook sitting on the porch, on the cover it says 'Marlie♥' (my name, with a heart) so i pick it up and open it and theres pictures of me, except there far away like someone was taking them without me knowing it, so i get freaked out and put the scrapbook down. I walk inside and look around the house to see if my family is home, no ones there so i go to the computer and for some reason i find myself on Google Images and looking up pictures of quilts. So i walk into the living room and turn the tv on, the show Boy Meets World is on, which like never comes on anymore, so im watching it and we have one of those chairs that spin, and it spins around and Cleo is sitting in it, and he's wearing glasses. i get up to pet her but she bites me, and i start bleeding, ALOT and thats the last thing i see the blood, and then i wake up with my RED covers pulled over my head. Ok so I originally started just with the idea of selling bracelets. I love making bracelets from beads I get at like Michaels or Joan Fabrics. I am VERY good with computers and was hoping to make a website for myself as well. But, I also thought about selling some other things. I can scrapbook as well, and was considering making greeting/birthday/wedding cards. I have a few questions, but I think my Dad can answer those when I present the idea to him (and please don't think when I say I haven't asked him yet that I'm planning on sneaking it around him lol...because that's just not gonna happen! xD). But my one MAJOR question, is how exactly do people sell their crafts? Do they sell them by the singles, and just whoever sees it gets it? Do they take requests (like specific colors/types of beads)? Or do they just make the same bracelets over and over? I was thinking maybe I could just make them in singles and sell them and also allow people to request their own colors, it just might cost an extra dollar and take me a little longer since it won't already be made. Resolved Question: What would you do in my situation?

So me and my boyfriend live together and are very happy together. However, last night we had the biggest fight we've ever had. I don't have trust issues nor have I ever. However, I was looking through his phone last night and came across a video. It just so happened to be a video of his ex-girlfriend giving him head...sounds and everything. As soon as I saw it I started shaking, then I started to cry, then I wanted to kill him. So after seeing that I thought, hmmm, I wonder if he as any pictures. Checked out the pictures and I found naked pictures of this girl that he claims used to stalk her, but wanted nothing to do with her. I confronted him about it when he came home later that night and he said that they were old pictures and that the video was old. I believe that the video was old but seriously? Why would you keep something like that? The pictures were dated August 2nd, but he said they're old too. It didn't have a year on them so I don't know what to believe. I know that he's never cheated on me and he never would, he's really not that type of guy. I'm not being naive or anything but the guy spends absolutely all of his time with me. On top of all this, I've never liked that ex-girlfriend. I've found a scrapbook in a trunk of his with naked pictures of her in it too. He's a computer nut so I'm sure there's probably some on there too but has them deep, deep into hiding where I don't even know where to find them. I'm completely disgusted by that video. It's all I've been able to think about since last night. I feel that I'll never be able to have sex with him without running that video through my head. The forgiving part is easy for me, it's the getting over it and out of my head part that's killing me. I don't know what to do or how to get over this? Is there anything at all that I can do or anything that would help me not feel like worthless? I so badly want to put this in the past already and forget about it but I just don't know how. more

Ok here's the deal: I take pictures on vacations and stuff and do not have time (or want) to scrapbook them in a book. I think it would be cool though to compile them into a neat little slideshow with music and different doodads on a CD. You could then pull it out and pop it into your DVD or computer to look at the pics when you want. I'm wondering what a good computer program would be for this kind of stuff?? I have a an HP Computer w/ Windows Vista. Not sure if that helps or not. Any recommendations? Something with lots of features but fairly easy to use. Thanks! more

I get my pajamas and sneak out of my room to the bathroom. My mom is in her room already asleep. I just grabbed the soap as she walks in. “Mackenzie, why are you up at 1o’clock in the morning? You need to get to sleep because there is school tomorrow.” Ugh here is one of the lectures she gives me, only because she is a doctor. “Um, well mom, when you’re in 10th grade and have to read Shakespeare then do a journal response on a book you barely understand. After I don’t answer to her knock, it just becomes louder and louder. “Just leave me alone!” I say. “When I want my space, I don’t get it. Then when I don’t want my own space and I want to hang out with you, your not even here! Voting Question: Can't install a computer program!! Help! I need it for work.?

when trying to install Scrapbook factory deluxe 2.0 on my computer( with Vista Home premuim) I got this message: "wrong OS or OS version for this applicaion" However, I have had this program on my computer before. I even have some files still saved on my computer. I looked for updates on the web, and was unsuccessful. Is there any changes I can make to my computer to get this CD to work? Also at the end of trying to install it, it says that the install was interrupted before it could finish. I need to get it installed sometime today, so I can finish my lesson plans. What I mean by this, is the buttons 'back', 'next' and cancel' are all blank when I start the program and when I click on the buttons they will not function at all. I want something to do while I am stuck inside my house. I have a life, but Im not always out. Sometimes I like to do stuff around the house.
