You can enter your appointment dates, your thoughts for the day, and what's going on in the news. It's free and you can print it. I just thought I would share this with the rest of you just in case you wanted to keep track of what's going on in your pregnancy. I am doing a project for someone that will spell out a name on the wall. Each letter will hang by itself with a piece of ribbon to spell out the name. I'll be using scrapbook paper to decorate the letters, but I need the letters! I am hoping for a rather whimsical font and want to print each letter about the size of a full page. I'm making a scrapbook and I need to print some photos as 2.5"×2.5" but have no idea how. I currently use Picasa and can print 6×4s and 2×2s but not what I need. Can anyone suggest a free program or simple way I can do this? Also, in photo shops where they have the machines where you select and choose to print your photos, can they print in 2.5×2.5" format? more

Okay, so I found a venue I like that costs $6,500 for 75 guests. That is for the ceremony, reception and dinner, centerpieces, cakes and cutting fees, security (which I don't feel comfortable not having for personal reasons), DJ, etc. I have to buy the following things. How much should I look to spend on average? Officiant/Minister Calla Lily bouquets, corsages, boutonniere's (real or silk) Paper for invitations, RSVP cards, and place cards (printing is free) Red/White wine (price per bottle?) What percent of a budget should be spent on the reception, and when I say reception what all is included in that? I mean, I am getting a lot included in that package. My dress is $680 (that is everything but shoes), my hair/nails/makeup should be $160 altogether, I'm doing candy in tulle bags for favors for $40ish, we're spending $400 on rings, probably $35 dollars on the knife and server, and flutes, and I'm creating a wishing tree for roughly $30 in lieu of a guest book because I am going to do a wedding scrapbook with the pictures... and have the tags next to the guests in the album etc. I got some rude answers yesterday saying I was being unrealistc. Now, our budget is $11,500 (I even found a photographer that is only $700 for six hours). That includes the honeymoon, which I don't know exactly when or where we are going, we just want to get away haha. The reception cost ($6,5) is tax AND service included... it is linens, napkins, dishes, dinner, decoration, setup, ceremony, cake, and several extras that are included in the package. Is $6,500 on all of that too much for my budget??I think if I move the date back to November, on a Sunday, they might take off more than just $500. I'm going to do as much as possible myself. I just can't pass up such a nice place with so much included! The fruit tree and chocolate fountain were thrown in dirt cheap at $150. The ceremony is included. She is decorating outside for free. There is a pool table and two TVs for kids and a slideshow!!The photographer and DJ are friends! So I can trust them.I'm also in a heavily populated area. more

I'm making a music video from a song I wrote. For the visual part, I need a program that will display a screen that looks something like a page in a scrapbook, with a single photo and a caption underneath. (The caption will contain a line from the song.) I also need to be able to advance to the next photo by pressing a hot key, and either a fade or a wipe effect would be ideal. i am making a scrapbook for my friend and i want to put some pictures of her favorite band in it, plus i have 25 free prints from shutterfly, yay! i found pictures from someone's flickr photostream using the "seach for works i can use for commercial purposes" creative commons search option (i don't want them for commercial purposes, just the scrapbook). the pictures are pretty high quality. i don't want to break the law or disrespect the photographer's rights. would shutterfly print these pictures for me or question the legality of how i got them? could i get sued or something? just want to make sure. : D more

Resolved Question: need help with my hp deskjet f4280's ink cartridge?

the problem is that my printer won't recognize the tri-color ink cartridge and of course won't print..actually i only refilled it by myself; the black ink can be recognize though(i got it for free when i bought the printer). But the tri-color ink was recognize at first, after refilling it by myself, i was still able to print some pictures and then suddenly the printer wasn't able to recognize it. But it still has ink..pls help me...I want to do my scrapbook already T^T(im too shy to print outside^^) more

I know that acid free paper is best for pictures, but If I print something out on this acid paper, and put it on my page, what will happen? I have been a scrapbooker for 10 years, but find that my books are large and cumbersome, and I spend all my free time in the basement creating them. So, I am considering starting this newer process of uploading photos, creating a digital scrapbook of sorts, and then having the book physically printed (it comes bound with a hard cover and everything). I've decided that this summer I'd like to get my butt off of the computer. I'm 13 and my mom does not scrapbook, but we have lots of photos. So far I have some puffy stickers, speech bubble stickers, some paper, and markers (not sure if they are acid-free). Oh, and I don't need a paper cutter because I'm just starting out and my mom can cut perfectly straight. I have many downloaded fonts, so I can print out some cute lettering if needed. How much do 12x12 scrapbooks usually cost? And sheet protectors? I will probably go shopping at the local scrapbooking store. And does printer ink have acid in it? Is it safe to print things out and use them in my scrapbook? What else do I need? Any random tips? I've been to many websites and would just like some advice from Yahoo! Ugh! I am making a scrapbook calender for my cousin and if i buy the only stickers for the months of the year, they are 5 dollars a piece...In the end i will end up spending a good 120 bucks on making this calener... My question is regarding Royalty-Free Clip Art and Stock Images. I have read that you may purchase royalty-free clip art and stock images on discs (or download) to use without restriction, commercially and privately - on business cards, websites, personal scrapbooks and project. The only purpose you cannot use royalty-free images for is to start your own clip art business; you do not have the right to resell or lease the clip art to others. Then how does a company like Got Print (www.gotprint.com) and CauseKeepers offer licensed logos and images for the Quick Designer? This is where you build your business card online. Is it because they are selling business cards with the image, and not the image itself? How would you be able to use the same image on a letterhead or brochure? Thank you!! I know that there are plenty of pre-design paper out there for future scrapping, but I was using the pages that came with the book that I brought and all the pages were white. I can’t use wrapping paper to cover the plain white sheets that I have because it will ruin the photos. But, If I printed out photos on card stock paper that is acid/lignin free would that be a better alternative and save the pages that I already made? I have printed photos on that before and was fine with the results. So If I do that would that be better then glossy photo paper? Can I use card stock paper that is acid/lignin free? Do I need to use a certain type of glossy paper or what do I use for printing out photos? You can use ribbons, buttons, stickers, etc to design or do those need to be a certain type also? is it only the paper that i need to be concern about? more

Resolved Question: Cleaning up pixel-y pictures?

You know how on all the CSI shows when they are looking at pictures on a computer they can zoom in and unfuzz and unpixelate a picture, basically "cleaning it up"? Is there a program where us average-joes can do it to our pictures? My father and I went on a roadtrip and he actually used an scanner to load his pictures onto his computer and they are all pixelated (not to mention white borders cuz he doesn't seem to know how to CROP!) and I'd like to clean them up before I print them out, send them to people, and scrapbook them. Any help is appreciated. I'd REALLY like a free downloadable program if one exists.And before you ask, I can't load them onto my computer in a different way because he lives over a thousand miles away, he flew in to see me. more

Resolved Question: Scrapbooking, I'm a rookie...is a memory album the same as a scrapbook?

This may sound stupid but, are memory albums the same as scrapbooks? I thought scrapbooks had a paper page, not a plastic sheet protector. My Mom bought me a bunch of scrapbooking supplies for Christmas & included 3 memory albums. She got them from Hobby Lobby. They are expandable post bound pages, they are acid, lignin & PVC free and they each have 10 clear sheet protectors. I was just wondering because they're not "called" scrapbooks. Plus, they were fairly inexpensive & I've seen that scrapbooks are pretty pricey. I've never done ANY scrapbooking & I'd appreciate any tips anyone can offer! Like, can I print my own pictures or should I order reprints? Yeah, obviously I'm a rookie... Thanks for any advice! j more

I love Smilebox but some of my photos cannot be resized. Also when sharing, receipient only got first page of scrapbook instead of the 3-4 I made.
