Resolved Question: Beginner scrapbooking. How do I scrapbook frugally and quickly?

I think it is an excellent idea to scrapbook the Christmas cards I received along with the letters, envelopes and photos. I am finding it be expensive with all the little stick ons, etc. I thought I was a patient person too, but I would like to get the scrapbooking done more quickly than spend hours on one page. I had planned to scrapbook my first cruise too, but I have like 400 photos. It seems daunting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. more

hi, i am thinking of making a scrapbook in my summer holidays after all my exams have finished but i have a variety of problems, I have been looking at the books (like the photo album kinder thing for scrapbooks) and ive looked in my local hobby craft and they have them but it dont seem right so i need some advice really, basically they have plastic wallets in them, and I wasnt shore how you actually make the page, or do you put the finished product into the plastic wallet thing, but then all the accessories etc might fall off the page but tell me if im wrong im just a begginer, and if anyone has any tip s or ideas they could give me to help with the scrapbook please do as i want it as a memory for ever :) xx more

I am getting ready to start my first scrapbook and would like to do things as cheap as possible, while still being able to create something really nice.To be specific, I am actually focusing first on a wedding scrapbook, but am also doing a family scrapbook. I would like ideas for both. I was trying to think of some random things around the house that could be used to create a fun scrapbook. So far I have thought of using my cookie cutters as stencils for cut outs, some leftover fabric on pages, and printing pictures, words, letters, and phrases. Any other ideas? Does anybody have any ideas for scrapbooking? I'm making a scrapbook for my freind of her horse that she put down on Tuesday. Her name was Treeka, she was a Bay Purebred QH mare, 26 or 28 years old (they told my freidn she was 26 but they think shes 28). She used to barrel race, and always placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. She was a sweetheart and loved it when peopl talked to her. If u have any ideas please post them. If you have any good sayings and/or poems as well, post them too. Resolved Question: I'm making a scrapbook for my anniversary with my boyfriend and I need ideas!?

Ok, so I've already started making the scrapbook and have most of my pages planned and everything, but I was wondering if anyone has any idea on cute things I could include or advice on scrapbooking or anything?? I've made a couple before but I'm absolutely determined to make this an incredible present! I want every single page to be beautiful and if he cries, that'd be alright;) We're one of those couples that started out at best friends and still are, and he's really been there for me no matter what. It's just some crazy love, and its perfect:) So I want to show him how much he means to me. Right now I have two movie ticket stubs (we've only ever seen one movie together! haha), theme park tickets, aquarium tickets, a note he left me one date, a pressed flower that came from the first boquet he ever gave me, and of course TONS of pictures. I love scrapbooks for photo, but I have no talent in putting scrapbooks together. I'm just not "crafty" at all and I have no time to learn. I've looked on Shutterfly and they have photo books that you can put together, but I'm not sure of the quality. I don't really like the idea of having a scrapbook that is just a glossy printout on each page, if that makes sense. I like the traditional kind of scrapbooks that have different textures of paper, fabric, etc. Does anyone know if there are any kind of professional scrapbooking services? more

My best friends birthday is on Wednesday and I'm making her a scrapbook. I already printed out the pictures and I planned out each page. Theres going to be about 10 pages. Now I just need help putting it all together. Where can I get cheap (like $20-$30) materials? I know I need scrapbooking paper,stickers,pens(gel type ones),stencils and stuff like that. Should I get a pre-made one from target for $25 or just get everything separately and do it myself? The pre-made one comes with: 12x12 scrapbook,paper,card stock,stickers,stencils,page protectors and some other stuff. Also what are some neat and original ideas to put the scrapbook together and make it my own? I know I need to put pictures,quotes,descriptions,inside jokes, but what else? Thanks! :) more

Resolved Question: where can I find acrylic flexible mirror material?

I'm making an activity book for my child and am wanting to have a page with a mirror in it but want it to be that type of mirror that's sometimes in baby toys, it's just flexible unbreakable mirror finishes. I know it scratches easy but that doesn't bother me. I thought I'd find it on scrapbooking websites but can't seem to find it, or am maybe not calling it the right thing? Someone told me I could get an a4 sheet of it that I can cut to my own size. Any ideas? more

I am recently unemployed, and pregnant so people are not willing to hire me. Unemployment just isnt cutting it and I am working on getting WIC and all the government discounts I can because of my recent situation! So here is my idea: I have always been crafty and into scrapbooking and card making. I want to know if it would be worth it, and profitable, to try to sell pre-made scrapbook pages and crafty cards. Or even if people would want me to help them with scrapbooks! I also need advice on where should I try to sell the crafts? Thank you for your help!!I am 9 months Pregnant, school isn't an option for me right now. I have been to school to be a Nurse's Aid. no one is hiring nurse's aids in my area, and where I have applied I have been looked at like a crazy person because I am carrying a basketball under my shirt and am trying to get a full time job! The cards and scrapbook stuff would not be expensive at all, and it would only be temp work til I have the baby and get a real job again. I just need extra income and thought maybe this would be an idea for me. I don't need life advice. Just wanted to know what everyone thinks about my idea. Resolved Question: Need some scrapbooking tips?

I scrapbook quite a bit, I have no room and not a ton of supplies but I have enough. I need some ways to make the pages more interesting. I usally draw on them or something but the risk of that is if I mess up I have to start over. is there any inexpensive ways to make the pages more interesting. I can't afford to buy a ton of stickers and sometimes I can't find anything that would go with the page I am doing. Any tips would be helpful. I was originally going to do a scrapbook for Lukas just watching him grow... with a page or two for each month of his life, but I've decided instead, I'll do a photo album separately and make scrapbook pages of "moments" and occasions... Resolved Question: Decorating my school binders...need good motivational/goal/achievement/success quotes =)?

Ok, so I have used my scrapbooking materials and decorated my binders for school. I must say they do look quite amazing. I am very happy with them. However...I had an idea: I thought that when I open the binder, on the left where it is just the binder itself I could put a good motivational or goal quote [need author as well] and after you flip all the pages in the 'end' of the binder...have an achievement or success quote. I really think this is a good idea, for me at least. Nonetheless, I am stuck trying to find quotes... Any suggestions??? Thank You so much. Will choose best answer. more

So I'm working on a scrapbook right now that is of a trip I took in highschool to Costa Rica. The page I am currently working on is about a day we spent visiting an elementary school there, and I'm having a hard time thinking of a title to put on the page. Please, Please! Some one has to know! I cannot find any guest book's or guest book ideas for my son's upcoming first birthday party. I have never made a scrapbook before but I really want to start. I am very much a perfectionist so I am having some trouble. :) I want to start with a trip to Las Vegas. My husband and I went on vacation there. We took lots of pictures (I think I have it narrowed down to the ones I will use) and I have tickets, and some other random things (like a napkin and receipt from the restaurant we had our anniversary dinner at). So far im please with what i have, i've managed to include day trips we've had, memories we share, christmas', Work...but now im getting stuck for ideas on what to put on letters E,I,N,O & U. These are the last few pages...also as its for my friends 21st the majority of the pictures are of her, there are also a few of us together and her and her boyfriend...does this sound ok? i wasn't sure if she would want a scrapbook filled with pictures of herself.....what would you think if you received this gift? First time scrapbooker. I am working on a budget, but have already exceeded it a lot. I have everything to work with that I can possibly think of. My problem is coming up with a Title for a page. Then, adding an appropriate picture to go with it. Also, I lost my best friend who was also my dear Brother just last week. He was 43. I want to make a Very Special, memory book of just the two of us, and of course, I will add pictures of his wife, and our parents and my son. Any ideas?
