Scrapbooking Ideas For Boys Questions asked

Resolved Question: What crafts are good for boys?

My 8 year old son loves crafts - chrocheting, beading, scrapbooking... anything small. Any ideas for BOY crafts, so it's not too girly and something he can continue doing for a while? more

Resolved Question: WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY WANT FOR CHRISTMAS?

I don't understand. Of course you want something. In the middle of the summer you get pissed off because your parents refuse to buy something for you. Then ask for it for Christmas! Aye aye aye. And if you honestly don't want anything, go buy stuff for the homeless, or work in a soup kitchen, or go read/tutor poor kids or something like that. I've done those kind of things, and believe me, the feeling is better than any feeling you get when recieving a gift. Anddddd here are some ideas if you are stuck. Some of them are for girls because well, I am a girl. Oh well. Sucks for you. (if you are a boy, that is.) Onward! -ipod -itunes gift cards. you can never have enough music -books, bookstore giftcards. Books are good. read. -a ringlet curling iron or a straightener. different hairstyles are fun. -makeup -green day cd -puzzles. puzzles are good. -brain teaser puzzles book. when you bored, you should spend your boredom doing something productive. -nintendo dsi. that thing is uber fun. -a camera. cameras are good. -sims 2 double deluxe. best game ever. -calvin and hobbes comic books. best comic ever. -a zebra snuggie. YES. just plain awesome. -fuzzy socks. -converse. i love converse. -an ihome -target giftcards. i love target. -victorias secret gift cards. underwear is good. but only good if you choose them. -glee first season dvd. one of the best shows ever. -a glitter embossing thing. THAT THING IS SUPER FUN. omg. -uggs. uggs are soft goodness. or you can go to target with your giftcard and get some good looking fuggs. they are just as good but the fur goes away after like the 2nd time you wear them. real uggs have softness FOREVER. this is a good thing. unless you live in arizona. -a puppy. puppies are goodness. -a mardi gras mask. why not? -abba greatest hits cd. -a purse and wallet to carry all of your giftcards. -puffs kleenex with vicks. heaven when you have a runny nose. -starbucks gift cards. because its too expensive to go out and buy with your own money. -footy pajamas. warm goodness. -laptop. coolness. -a car! yay! A nice little used one. or, if your parents are rich, an environment efficient hybrid. -donations to charities in your name. -a brand new super cool cell phone. (recycle your old one, but make sure to get your contacts first, haha) -a giant stuffed bear/tiger/duck/panda/cat/gopher/mickey mouse/dog/bunny. because you know you've always secretly wanted one. -mall giftcards. clothes are good. -scrapbooking kit. because scrapbooking is fun. admit it. -brand new school supplies. why do we have to only get them in the beginning of the school year? enjoy the newness of your school supplies. -temporary tattoos. because those are AWESOME. -hot wheels race track sets. the kind where the monster eats you in the middle. very definition of AWESOMENESS. idk what else. soooooooooooooooo. have fun. more

Resolved Question: Trying to Make a Needy Mother-In-Law Busy Ideas??

I have a really needy mother-in-law, she is still married to my father-in-law but he doesn't want anything to do with her really and is never around which is why she is so lonely. She is always crossing bounderies with me l(ike calling at 10pm when she knows I get up at 5am to ask my husband to call and wake up his 16 yr old brother in the morning so he is not late for summer school.) and since you can't fix a husband that wants to make his mother unlonely AKA a mama's boy I decided I would find an activity and get her invovled.. I need some ideas for activities to surprise her with...she loves gardening, candals, and scrapbooking, but she love doing those alone. She needs some friends that aren't married, and a man friend, that's the comfort she is looking for but not inappropriate comfort. She is constantly trying to use my husband as hers...asking him to do things around the hosue and helping her with his 16 yr old. She is 48 years old...any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks! We have a 2 1/2 year old she only seems intrested in him when she is trying to impress her husband (bc he's in love with our son) other then that she is very blah about him. Although my husband wouldn't agree of course! She isnot helpful at all to me! She is very greedy and selfish about everything time, love, money...I just with she would respect bounderies! Great advice os far! Thank you very much! more

Resolved Question: What themes to use for scrapbooking older siblings?

I just got into scrapbooking and am doing one for my 3 month old son. I also have a 7 year old and an 11 year old (both boys also). I want to make a scrapbook for them also so they don't feel left out but I don't know what the theme should be. My 7 year old is a step son and was with his mom for the 1st year or two of his life (until his father got custody) so, we don't have many photos of him as an infant. I have lots of my 11 year old but don't want two to have a baby book and my 7 year old to feel left out, so I was thinking of just doing a current book on the two oldest. Any ideas? more

Resolved Question: creative baby shower suggestions?

I am looking for ideas for favors (in particular), food, activities, all of it...I am throwing a shower for a good friend, probably in May or June. It will be a small gathering, maybe 10-20 people. She doesn't know if she is having a boy or girl. She is a trendy gal, so I would like to stay in keeping with that. I am asking now so that I have enough time to make anything that needs to be made. One idea I have is to ask for books instead of cards, and present her with a little bookshelf to start a library. I have seen printable invitations but would like to embellish them somehow. I like the look of scrapbooking materials to at a little something extra but have no experience with that. I like the idea of baby shower bingo where the squares have the items on the registry, and the winner receives a prize. My mother has suggested a diaper cake and I think I may try to make one for her. Any other creative cute (and inexpensive) suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!! more

Resolved Question: Cutter Tool?

I have been trying to get into the swing of scrapbooking, buying all kinds of supplies for years. Well, I am finally just starting to sit down and do stuff. I am trying to find out what kind of tool, or if there is a tool, that make it easy to cut shapes. For example. I was going a page for my friends new baby boy. I had these big letter and I spelled out "BOY" and I glued that to a page and wanted to just trace a mat around the word "boy" but it was not easy with simple sissors. Any ideas? I figure there has got to be something out there. Thanks :) more

Resolved Question: Scrapbooking Ex-boyfriends?

Any tips on scrapbooking old loves? I married now and don't want to emphasize the "love" I had with the ex-boys. Both for my husband and kids. However, they were a part of my life and I would like to keep that memory. Any tips or ideas on how best to go about this? more

Resolved Question: What can I make for my new baby boy?

He'll be here anyday and I'm bored out of my mind being stuck in the house and not being able to move around much. I love all types of art and crafts. I don't have a sewing machine but I can hand stitch something. I enjoy cross-stitch, plastic canvas, painting, drawing, candle and soap making, jewelry making, rug making, photography, scrapbooking/collages, etc. I also have a bedazzler which I haven't used yet (not sure what I could make with that for a boy). I have a lot of baby clothes I could alter. Any ideas? :-) more
