Resolved Question: Man needs scrapbook lingo help?
I need to know what in the world eyelets and embellishments are. My wife scrapbooks and for Christmas I wanted to get her more scrapbooking things, but when she starts listing off things like: eyelets, embellishments, crop-a-dile, snaps, etc I have NO idea what she's talking about. So instead of looking dumb at the store, can anyone tell me what these things are. I think she has the cropadile, the glorified hole punch (right?), and I know what brads are, but what is the rest? Also, what are some basic things that she can never have too many of? I don't want to ask her, because then she'll know, but I don't like giving her money/gift certificates. So a little help would be great!!!

Just wondering if people who are making their own cloth diapers (with snaps rather than velcro) have tried using other tools than a snap press. I really don't want to invest in a snap press if I have a difficult time making cloth diapers. I have a crop-o-dile for scrapbooking and it works like a charm for eyelets....just wondering if anyone tried using it for snaps on fabric? Thanks. :)

I just bought the Fiskars Eyelet Punch set and I am following the directions: I am using a regular sheet of paper, placed on a craft mat. I hold the pen looking item with the hole punch side down. I hold the bottom of the piece in one hand and lift up the top piece with the other hand and then let go. I hear a loud snap, but all that is left on the paper is an indented circle, but it did not cut through the paper. Even when I pull up the top piece a bunch of times, it still doesn't punch. What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much for the help!!!Can I return it (to AC Moore) if I already openned the packing and starting (trying to) use it?

I recently bought some brads and eyelets for scrapbooking. I don't understand if what I'm doing is correct though. I put brads on one side of my page, but when I turn the page to design the next portion, you can see the backs of the brads. I just glued a sheet of decorative paper over them, but I can still feel them. Is there something I don't know? Or is this how it has to be?
