Open Question: Where can I find decent examples of a half angel/half demon wing tattoo?

So I'm turning 18 in a few days. My cousin and I are going to get a tattoo during Spring Break, and I want an angel wing on the left side, demon wing on the right side.But it's really hard to find any examples that I completely like, or that I could morph. I've tried doing the whole, find an angel wing then find a demon wing and put them together, but they never look quite right, like they don't fit. I was also thinking I could have an angel wing, and the other wing could just be black and slightly bloody/broken to fit the demon category, but like I said I can't find much. okk.. im getting a tattoo at the end of the summer.. i already have my design picked out, my artist will be drawing it up for me.. im getting angel wings on my upper back, with my sons names in them. and i have 2 quotes that i love, but cant decide which one i love more, and i plan on talking to my artist about the placement.. first off, lets vote of which quote is best (and of course i will ultimately make the decision since this will be forever on my body!!) quote one.. where there is love, there are always miracles or quote two.. love ever after now my other questions.. my husband thinks i dont understand how painful a tattoo will truly be, so i just want to know from people who have tattoos, preferably in the same spot that im getting mine.. what does it feel like, in the best description you can give, please...i will be getting mine on my upper back, right on my shoulder blades, i dont plan on having the wings touching on my spine, they will be on the sides of my spine, but not touching it. and from top to tip of wing probably about 7in. long.. so im sure this tattoo is going to take 3 or more hours, with shading.. which i plan to do in one sitting. ill probably take ibprofen before i go, to try to help me cope, and my best friend will be there to keep me talking an occupied. please give me helpful tips to prepare me, im really excited about this, but like i said, my husband thinks i should have a little fear, and thinks i dont have a clue whats coming.. lol, hes probably right (and yes, he has tattoos.)i have actually decided to get something smaller, on my upper back, left side.. im getting the quote "where there is great love, God always presents miracles." and im getting a shooting star across the top, and one across the bottom, to symbolize my 2 kids. this tattoo will take about 30 minutes to do, and is wayyy smaller. after carefully thinking about it, the angel wings is a lot for a first tattoo!! more

Okay so i have a pair of angel wings(shoulder to hip) and i wanted to connect them to a spine. originally i wanted to have a biomech spine that morphed into the wings... however the only picture examples i could find were in colour and slightly grossish..(ripping from the skin) What I was wanting was a clean spine with spike like vertebrae (all ready have that pic) http://www.ratemyink.com/images/ul/551/The-Spine-tattoo-55155.jpeg but I also wanted mech components and i wanted it in grey scale(black and white) ect... So i decided (because im a huge star trek fan) that the borg would completely suit my purpose. However i am having trouble finding pictures of borg showing components that i really like. Getting a tattoo next week of a heart shaped padlock and a key next week, the tattoo artist suggested having the key on one wrist and lock on the other would look good, and I agreed. However now I've found a picture of a heart padlock with ribbons and a key included. I was just looking for some advice on whether the tattoo would look better as one piece or as two seperate pieces. Okay so I have two story ideas. One of which I already started getting my thoughts down on, and the other one which seems like an interesting idea to me. As reader which one interests you more? 1) Elliot Waverly was locked up her whole life. She was basically left to die in asylum walls, but she couldn't. Blessed by a faerie, Elliot could no longer stay dead, her spirit always lived on into a different body. When the Everetts find her, Mason, feels bad for her and takes her in as her own. Little do they know that Elliot is really a powerful witch with unique powers. Elliot didn't even know, goddess she didn't want anything to do with the mythical. Over the course of time bonds begin with young Xander Everett and Elliot. But an romantic plans change quickly when fallen angel Marcus Rouge interferes. One of the few Mythicals that actually knew the powers Elliot posses. But Marcus just isn't any fallen angel, he was the Devil's prodigy sent from Hell, as a way into the Heavens. The angelic elders saw him through. No pure angel had ever had blazing red wings and fiery red hair. Marcus uses what is left of his angelic powers to manipulate Elliot. First by causing her to fall into a shallow lustful love with him, then ripping her away from her loved one, smashing any relationships created, and lastly get her willing to do his bidding. Which was using her powers to make the world cower under him. Elliot doesn't realize anything is wrong, she only see right, but she her mind has been tampered with, so her judgement can't be trusted. Can Xander and Rhian bring Elliot back to her sense before the world falls apart under Marcus's force. 2) Rhiannon Westover was new at being a vampyre since being bitten. The traditional tattoo begins to appear on her face, and according to law it is required to be covered. When transported to the "Nightmare Realm" (which is what the humans call it) she must learn to survive and live as a true vamp. But things aren't going smooth sailing, while being visited by a tormented spirit. Kelsey died unhappy, and tormented, but dying didn't help her spirit. Her spirit became demented and malicious craving only to kill. The spirit presents Rhiannon with the Death Game, and the rules are simple, solve the riddles, make your kill, but if the hunted hunts the wrong the hunter will become the hunted. Scared and alone (at first) Rhiannon gives in to the images which often appear to her in dreams. Succeeding at killing she is what to seems like is a rewards when really Kelsey is ripping away part of her spirit and soul so when the time comes Kelsey can take over and have a body back. But when some friends and Jake Ashton come along and try to help Rhiannon cope with Kelsey. But as the bad boy poet get's into Rhiannon heart he wants nothing to do with her at first. But Rhiannon's emotions overwhelm Kelsey's spirit filling her with the same feelings and thoughts of how wonderful it was to be wanted by friends and to be in love. Kelsey even though somewhat overrun by Rhiannon's emotions still tries to make a break though. Will Jake Ashton see what has become of Rhiannon when he shows the sames feeling back? I have had 2 really weird dreams ever since I moved to a different city.. so the first one i had it was me with a tattoo on my back it was demonic torn up wings a black cross and than 6 small circles in a line from my one shoulder to the other. and I looked dead but I was alive and breathing. the other dream was last night.. it was after the earthquake everyone has been talking about and everything was torn up but it was in a different area its hard explain. and so my cousin and I found my cat dead on some tree stump but it looked like it died in its sleep she is a calico and i named her Angel. and um she had a note with her saying "go back to where u came from u dont belong here: and it left a threat but I cant exactly remember what it was. then before I went to bed last night somehow my tv almost fell on my mom and almost killed her so now there is a hole in the wall. and for a while now i have felt like someone is watching me and after the tv almost fell on my mom I had trouble breathing a little bit like right now. and today I have been jumpy and I feel like someone is in back of me but there not and someone is watching me even more. god. and I am really scared like shitless. also everytime I see myself in the mirror it scares me like I myself is a threat and my instincts are tellin me to get away from the mirror. what does all this mean? help please I am scaredRAWR i would appreciate if u gave me a REAL ANSWER NOT JUST 4 OR 5 WORDS JUST SO U CAN GET POINTS! more

Resolved Question: Is an eagle a good idea for a memorial tattoo?

I am a 16 year old guy and on tuesday it was the 1st anniversary of my older brothers death. He committed suicide last year at the age of 23 and it really tore my family's emotions apart. I am thinking about getting a tattoo on the back of my right shoulder in memory of him, but i don't want a general memorial tattoo that everyone gets like a cross or a heart. I was thinking something along the lines of an eagle with its wings protecting something, or maybe a male angel. It is something that i am putting a lot of thought into considering the sentimental value and importance so i want to be 200% sure of what i want before i get it done. Thanks guys :) more

Resolved Question: A tattoo design that means 'forgiven'?

I want a small tattoo that means 'forgiven' like i'm forgiven. A Chinese symbol or something of the like. It's representing that I am forgiven by Christ of my sins. I want it small,it's my first tattoo and I was thinking of putting it behind my ear but i'm not set on any place yet,I just want to have the option of covering it up if I want.
