I reeeeeeeeally want a tattoo. The only problem: i have no idea what to get. Okay, that's a lie. I was thinking of getting a lilly on my foot, or "calle 13" in cursive tattooed on my side or something. Um, I also thought about getting the symbol for "virgo" tattooed somewhere. My bf doesnt want me to get a tattoo. He says he doesnt want me to change my appearance, and that he will be pissed if i do. The thing is though, he gave me the idea for it... It says Faith Love and Family with a lilly under the word Love but between Faith and Family. It would go on the small of my back, so it would be easy to cover up, and he wouldnt have to see it. I am thinking of getting a tattoo, and I'm not 100% sure where, or what so I wanted some opinions. Don't tell me why I shouldn't by the way:) My first option is getting a coronation with 2 Lillies of the Valley on both sides. The meaning for this is that my sisters are born in May (lilly of the valley) and i'm born in january (coronation). We are very close. I'm not sure at all where I want this one. Second option is "vive ut vivas" this quote means a lot to me due to what has happened to me in the past few years. Third option is "semper ad meliora" same reason as the second one and I would like both of these on my lower leg on the side or on my foot on the side. I'm leaning more towards my foot on the side because that's where I have a scar from an accident I had, which is why I chose these two sayings. Any imput :) more

I'm getting my first tattoo done tomorrow and would just like some opinions about colours etc. I'm getting a vine with 3 Lilly's on it going from just below my bra line to just above where my jeans would start. Resolved Question: How much would a flower and turtle tattoo cost? Roughly?

So I want to get a tattoo of a water lilly and a turtle swimming by it about medium size, I'm not sure where I would put it though. I've got about 5 months till I can even get it but this way I can keep looking at it and decide whether it's what I really want. I was thinking my rib cage or lower back, I don't like tattoos on legs or arms or upper back, I might be too picky but mid back, lower back and side are my favorite spots. The tattoo itself would be of a water lilly (purple) with some green around it for the pads and then a turtle on the side swimming. Any estimates would be great! So I got a tattoo for my 18th birthday. I decided on a lilly. Thee spot, was on my right upper chest, just above my breast. The colors were purple and pink. I got a little orange around thee outside of my flower. It was beautiful when I first got it done. But that beauty soon turned to pain and hell. Like 3 days later thee tattoo became so tender and scabbed up it looked like a burn! I couldnt even lift my right arm! It was disguisting and me being the person I am I did pick at it. Well finally thee scabbing went away. But my beautiful tattoo did as well. I'm left with a nasty faded flower, where people ask me if it's a burn. I want to get it touched up but I'm afraid it will heal just as worse and wont look any better. So should I get it covered up with a new design? if so what design? OR should I change the flowers color. I am black but I have a fairly light/redish skin tone. Any ideas will help. more
