Open Question: Im to that breaking point?

Where , where do I even begin [ apologize if this gets long, thoughts are racing my head] Ok, start off my mom has always treated me like this. But as I've gotten older, its progressed into something thats making me cripple inside. She treats me like a 3 year old, no respect, has no boundaries, always turns tables, and just a piece of dirt between her feet that she can stomp all over. Ill tell your more about my family after I explain my mother. Ok, well. ... Lets just say my dad isnt around anymore. My mother CONSTANTLY argues with me, even if im right! If I say you treat me like dirt, NO YOU TREAT ME LIKE DIRT. She'll do that all the time, at a very immature level.I can't stand it, and I cant tolerate it anymore. Just beware all of this im going say has been going on for 2 years, and its getting worse. I can't be myself, If I want to do something outside of the box and unique, according to my mom I've suddenly turned lesbian and im straight ! She even puts up her fights in public places which is embarassing. She goes out almost every night and when I want to hang out with her, she says "your always with your friends" which im not, i barely have any friends. My mom is constantly nagging me about my room, how messy or unclean it is (even if theres a shirt on the floor and thats it). You might think this is all normal, but concluding to my mom, im the worst thing thats ever happened to her, and im not at all important to her. I dont even know how to explain her, but shes EXTREMELY manipulating. .. My family will not allow me to express myself, or be me. I want to express myself through art like tattoos, and having unique hair , and stuff like that. But they wont let me. Im always being told and bossed around to do something by my grandpa, and according to my grandma, I do everything wrong. I hate myself, hate my hair, stomach , legs.. Ive givin myself away to guys just to make myself belive someone actually cared about me. I cut myself to put the pain inside.. Im to that breaking point where all I want to do is tell every to f:off and run away. To get away from my bitch of friends and just get away. Open Question: How do I tell my parents I plan on becoming a piercer/tattooist? Professionals: Advice on apprenticeships?

For almost seven years now, I've dreamed of becoming such. I've preferred skin to paper as a canvas since I was very small, and I have a thirst for the more medical side to body modification as well. I have studied the procedures, history, risks, etc of piercing and tattooing extensively over the past two years (as I gained access to the information), and a long while before that I began my journey into more medical territory. I would like to take courses in blood borne pathogens and get medical qualifications(i.e., first aid). My parents do not see body modification in a positive light, and I am sad that it is so. To be quite honest, I wish I'd become so attracted to a career path [I feel that] they would approve more openly of, and have even attempted to turn my interest in human physiology towards being a nurse or even a surgeon, but to no avail. I have finally accepted that what I want to be is an artist, which is what my mother has always pushed me towards (she believes that my gift for art is God-given and should be put to good use), though perhaps she meant for me to practice paper and canvas rather than skin. However, on that same note she encourages me to continue designing tattoos, even offering to pay for a website on which to provide a portfolio and services, though I imagine she doesn't intend for me to actually provide the paper to skin transformation. Unfortunately I haven't had much experience with the industry at all, other than designing multiple tattoos for friends and family. I plan on working at creating a strong portfolio, so that in the coming years I might have built some advantage over other potential apprenticeships, including a website. I have only three years until I turn eighteen. What can I accomplish during these years to work towards my goal? (I haven't a clue where to categorize this. Bah.) more

Open Question: i have been looking for this stencil for this tattoo and i need help?

This I Believe Ever since I was little, there was one thing I knew I really liked doing, and that was drawing. Through the years my art has gone from absolutely horrible, wannabe anime, and now somewhat realistic. While I know I am definitely not the best artist in the world, drawing was always something I had been good at, and praised for. It was the one thing that I had ever really felt passionate about, and when I think about my future, I consider art to be a big factor. All I want is for one day to be known for my talent, and when people think of my work, to say, “She’s amazing”, as opposed to, “She’s all right.” I am hardly the first artist in my family. My pepere is an amazing painter, and it blew my mind when I was younger, when he told me he was not famous. It wasn’t until he explained to me that being a good artist these days was much like being a good musician. There is a lot of talent out there, and you can’t expect to be famous, even if you are an amazing artist. This made me realize how hard it would be for my work to ever be referred to as “amazing” if there were plenty of other people who could do the same, and better work. After my pepere the next artist in my family is my dad. He is also an amazing painter and carpenter. But unlike my pepere and me, he never actually sits down and really paints, just for the sake of it. He reserves his painting for the mansion walls he paints in Newport. The next artist in my family is my brother, Tyler. Tyler, like me, has received praise over the years for his artwork, more than anything else. But instead of drawing people and animals, Tyler has a knack for Asian designs; he most frequently uses koi fish or dragons. His work is more tattoo-ish, while mine is more traditional. Coming from a line of great artists, I guess you would expect my work to not be taken very seriously. Luckily, my family has been nothing other than supportive in my dreams. I’m very thankful for my family’s relentless encouragement and support. So yes-I believe in art. When I draw, I forget about everything else and I am in my own world of my creation. And it’s the best feeling in the world to know that I have created something beautiful and uniquely my own. more

Ive got one foot tattoo so far that reflects my grandad who died two years ago and ive decided to get another one. Since I was about 16 i've used drawing manga (japanese art) as a "stress release" and its been quite a big part of the last 4/5 years. Ive drawn loads of designs since turning 18 about what i want to get to reflect the japanese artist in me and its upsetting to see alot of people having cherry blossoms as tattoos as for me they truely do represent the beauty of japanese art! I'm thinking about getting into doing tattoos. I have researched this and it seems like professional tattooists say its real hard and you HAVE to do an apprenticeship or you will never be good. Then I hear from guys who do it as a hobby say it ain't all that. I have a background in art and have half sleeves on both of my arms. I am looking to have a new tattoo done on the left and lower portion of my back and would like to commission an artist to do the drawing for me. There are a few good guys in my area (Cedar Rapids, IA) but I haven't lived here very long and some of the quality not where I'd like to see it. Okay....so here is the deal!!! I'm 30 years old and stay fit. I go to a gym and just finished running my first half marathon back in November. I have been married 5 years and with my husband a total of 8 years. I have a masters degree and work as an accountant and plan to sit for the CPA exam within the next year. I'm telling you all this first of all to show you that I am not your stereotypical lower back tattoo candidate. I'm not a tramp and haven't been with many people in my life. I've always had nothing but the highest of morals. Anyways, I have been thinking about getting a lower back tattoo for a while and my husband thinks that it will look really good and he has been encouraging me to "just do it". So, I put a deposit down on the design that I want and the I didn't research the artist well and he dismissed me and would not communicate with me, so I decided to go elsewhere. Then, I went into another parlor after I did a TON of research and got recommendations and this guy's work is phenomenal. I thought, surely, my tattoo will be a cinch for him and I will feel so honored to have his art on my body. His collegue interrupted him while he was working even after I told him that I was fine waiting until he had time to talk to me and there was no rush. I told him my idea which is below and he just turned into a real ass. He said he was booked up for 3 weeks and I said I was fine with waiting until he had time. Then he said he was a real artist and has seen tattoos like this his whole career and he has been trying to get away from them and wanted to put me off on one of his apprentices. He said that he hated wasting his time on me when someone else could be getting a portrait, a sleeve, or a more unique tattoo done instead. He admitted that he was a "pompus asshole" and that he hated my fucking tattoo design and hated tribals. I told him that I didn't want a tribal and that the design I showed him just was a foundation for my idea. I wanted the artist to have creative capabilities and run with them. He insulted all of the pictures I brought to him and said that the idea could mean the world to me but that I would just be a paycheck to him and he would hate doing it. But, he would fit me in anyway because he could tell that I really wanted him to do it (GEE.....don't do me any favors....) He said I'm sorry I'm cranky but I don't like being interrupted when I'm working! HELLO....I DIDN'T INTERRUPT YOU....YOUR COWORKER DID!!!! UGH!!!! They were the ones that told me to come into the shop to speak to him directly. I called first!!! So.....my idea is below.....and I know that it is cliche' and unoriginal....and typical.......HOWEVER.....it has meaning behind it even if the location and the actual design are typical to someone outside looking in.......does it matter except to the person who is wearing it? First off, it will be a red rose in the middle of a vine design (the picture I showed him was tribal, but I wanted vines with leaves, thorns, maybe some butterflies or a ladybug for accents). I know that roses are typical, but "believe it or not" it has significance to me and there was a reason I chose this. The rose itself is in honor of my grandmother who died in January. She was known for her green thumb and before she died she wanted to smell a real rose. So, my church contacted a rose greenery down in Texas and they sent her a rose bush for free and my dad took a picture of her sitting next to it. That was the last picture taken of her before she died and the place in Texas has planned on naming a rose after my grandmother, "Claribel." A lot of people say that I have a lot of her strength inside of me! The red color stands for love, respect, and strength. Beneath the rose, the chinese symbol for water will stem down (possibly in green with thorns and possibly just stay black) and it stands for life, higher wisdom, transformation, renewal, intuition, and blessing. I may have a drop of water falling off of the bottom of this symbol. This part of the tattoo stands for all of the adversities that I have faced over the past year and overcome. My parents of 32 years split up, I graduated college and fought unemployment for 6 months, and my 95 year old grandmother died. My family has been through so much, but we are survivors and are moving forward! This tattoo will be like freezing a moment in my life that I never want to forget. A moment when the odds were against me and I persevered!!! Ironically, the water symbol is also my astrological sign as well since I am a Cancer. Anyway....Here is a link to my idea. He made me feel stupid and cliche' for ever wanting it in the first place, despite what it meant to me. Both of the artists that I have run into turned into the very stereotypes that they have strived so hard to avoid! They put me into a box with other naive girls who just get a lower back tat for the hell of it and judged me. I thought they would have been the last to judge. I would feel honored that people would want to wear my art on their bodies for life. That's a big deal, but now I'm just hurt and insulted. I don't know if I will get a tattoo or not if that is how I am going to be treated. It definitely has not been the positive experience I thought it was going to be.HAHAHA!!!! That's awesome!!! My husband said he was a dick too!!!I understand that tattoo artists have seen a lot of the same things over and over again. That is fine. Maybe I would just like to be treated fairly and have a decent first experience with getting a tattoo. I don't think that is a lot to ask. My idea might be typical, however, it has significance to me and THAT is what matters. I don't care if it means anything to him. Its called respect. One could care less and won't communicate with me and the other one was just an ass. I'm getting discouraged about getting a tattoo at all now after the horrible experience that I've gotten!! These guys really screwed up too because my husband wants a tattoo too and we were an easy $1,000. Oh well.....I don't know what I'm going to do now. Hi! I'm really looking forward to getting a tattoo. Unfortunately, I find my artistry skills are....limited to painting and music. I've been looking for a long time for a person who would be able to do the type of art I'm looking for. Unfortunately, my funds are limited to getting this tattoo and keeping me alive, so I cannot pay you for your artwork. However, it would be bloody awesome o see everything you guys can come up with! So the only real type of...compensation, if you will, for your hard work is to sport it on my body for my whole life. The main one is essentially a skeleton sitting at a bus stop. I wish for a bluesy, scratchy feel/look, blues-ish aura, not the color, but the music. When this girl and I were freshmen, she hung out with my circle of friends, but we didn't really know or talk to each other. I would periodically see her every now and then when one of my friends would throw a party or have a fire, and we were in the same homecoming group twice, but we never really got to know each other. Junior year, my group of friends had a falling out, and I eventually settled in with a new group of friends. This girl had gone to grade school with most of these guys, because they all went to the same private school, and this past summer she hung out with us every once in a while, and we even hung out alone once (to watch her Invader Zim dvd, haha). During this time we got to know each other a little more personally, and we started to text each other every now and then, although it was usually just to organize something to do. But this year, she was in my art class, and we started talking more. I hung out with her and my friends a lot over Christmas break, and after that, she started asking me to run with her after school. She would text me on weekend nights and ask me what I was doing, but she would always be busy already, as if she was just curious. She asked me to come with her to pick out a tattoo, and she invited me to come with her to get art supplies. For about three or four weeks all of this went on, and we frequently texted each other. It was at this time that I finally started to like her for more than a friend. I decided to ask her on a date, but before I could, we stopped hanging out alone, although we occasionally get together with friends. We still talk to each other at school, but she is no longer in my art class. I want to ask her out on a date soon, before things have a chance to cool off even more, but I want to ask her in person, and I can never seem to find a time when she is alone. I am trying to learn the art of tattooing, fruit, pigskin and my own skin have been my canvas so far. Yes i know how many of you are going to tell me to get an apprenticeship... which I will eventually do. Thanks ahead of time. I am having trouble getting the color to stay in my own skin.. I used a 7rl for the outline and a 8rs for the inside but the color isn't sticking. I'm writing a book andni don't have a name for it yet, please help me out with the name of the book and names of cities and people. This book is about boys life growing up in somewhat of anchient Asia and when he turns sixteen he discovers he is adopted and so he sets off on a journey to find himself and learns many things including the way of the sword and martial arts. Near the climax of the book he ends up discovering he is a missing link to a long lost dynasty that ruled the country for many years and the emperor Now is his father who had given him up to his thaught to be parents. Well weeks later the emperor dies and he has to get to the royal palace because they have also discovered that the emperor had a first born son that he had givin up and they were told that the one who is missing has a tattoo on there right arm that is identicle to the symbol of the man who onced ruled the great empire.
