I'm 16 years old and I'm in great shape. Almost no fat on my body, not drinking, no drugs, no smoking, eating regularly, working out, but I still suffer from Gynecomastia. Does this mean I have it genetically? And if so, is the only way out surgery or will working out and eating healthier work? I went to see my doctor and he said it would probably go away in top a year and its only caused by distortion in the hormones or whatever. This was 2 years ago. I've talked to my father and he had it too and my brother also has it... Please help, anybody. I've been having Gynecomastia (man boobs) since i was 13. I am 22 now and it doesnt seem to go away. I've heard that surgery is the only cure but there are lot of guys out there in the internet (like Cliff Manchaster, Trey Jones, et.al) who claim to have a natural method of getting rid of gynecomastia. hi, i have had way larger than normal nipples/tissue surrounding the nipple area all my life and i would like to know how to get rid of that that doesnt involve expensive surgery. I have been looking at a product called Ultimate Gynemax and i see alot of good reviews and stuff on it but im ALWAYS skeptical about weight loss and fat burners that claim to make you lose alot of weight really fast. i know alot of those kind of things can be dangerous. Does anyone know of anything you can do for this condition besides the obvious lipo suction? or does anyone know anything about Ultimate Gynemax? "which is suppose to really help with the condition if not cure it completely". I am somewhat overweight but you can really tell my nipples are way larger than they're suppose to be. My estrogen levels in my blood sample were higher than normal but my doctor said that my fat cells were storing extra testestorone that was being converted into estrogen thats all i know about that i dont know if that could be causing this condition or not. more

O.K. well I'm 15, I'm a guy, and it's summer... There are a lot of parties that I go to where people are swimming but sadly, I'm too self conscious to take my shirt off. So I was just wondering if there is a special diet, or special exercise, or pills that I could take to get rid of my Gynecomastia. Surgery is not an option and I'm tight on cash so expensive testosterone pills are out too. But is there a vitamin that I can take that helps or anything? Also, I am a pot smoker :-) I know it doesn't help but I'm not sure I want to stop either. If anyone can help me out that would be great. Last school year I tried committing suicide by an insulin overdose (I'm a diabetic). Basically, per meal I generally take 1-2 units of Novolin R, whereas on my suicide attempt I took 100. I did it because I have gynecomastia (man-boobs) and I'd let a relation with the only girl I've ever loved with every fiber of my being sour because of my fear getting close to her because of my condition. When she misinterpreted my motives and actions because of this, thinking at first that I was way too under confident and then that I didn't really like her at all when the reality was I was DESPERATELY in love with her---I finally, over break, sent her an email with a picture of myself explaining why I'd acted the way I did. Well I didn't hear back from her for the rest of winter break and I started having anxiety attacks and letting myself go. Over the next semester, between constantly thinking about her and feeling like a piece of shit generally because I felt like I was spiraling downward, it started to affect my classes and work. I started to fail one class, and began having difficulties with another. I ended up having to withdraw both. At this point I felt like life was completely kicking my ass and that's when I plunged the syringe in. It wasn't until I nearly died and only saved myself by eating a bunch of sugary junk food (for a diabetic, a case of the "cure" being almost as bad as the disease) that I suddenly--for the first time in my life--came to truly have self-esteem and value myself as an individual. I was the Assistant Editor of the school paper because I was thoughtful and passionate about the issues and was an excellent writer. I'd met and volunteered for Obama in Iowa for the first caucus. I was one of the top students in the economics program at my small university. I could never see--or maybe just not accept it--but I was incredibly fit as well, after years of having tried to blast away my gyno primarily through exercise and at times through diet as well. I was generally regarded as smart, cool, and funny--and even attractive! (of course, I only remotely felt like it when I was doing a good job of covering up my moobs...) While I lived that night, my health felt absolutely deteriorated for the next several months. I started to frantically wonder what I'd done--if I'd truly destroyed myself and made a cripple of myself for life. There was a constant burning aching in my side, by my waist near the right side of my hip (what organ is that?!). I constantly absurdly sluggish and got easily winded--much more so than before. While I had lived from the suicide attempt, I started to wonder if I'd permanently disabled myself for life...enough to occasionally once more prompt suicidal thoughts again--though certainly not with insulin. Well, the school year's passed and I've found a wonderful college and program I'll be transferring to in the fall. While I think at one point I nearly lost my job as Assistant Editor I was able to hold my **** together long enough to finish the year out with that job with honors and to do well in my remaining two classes. Most importantly, my health has definitely felt much better. I havn't been under health insurance since I was 18 and was no longer eligible for KidCare, but I went to a community center at the start of the summer and was able to have some bloodwork done for cheap. The bloodwork came back fine, and as far as those tests go I'm healthy. It's reassuring for sure, because those tests concern primarily the kidneys and liver I believe, and as a diabetic those are the regions I was primarily concerned in. But though less intense, there's still the slight aching on my side ever since that time I tried to commit suicide...the community center couldn't afford to have given me X-Rays. The University I'm at now charges you $200 a year for their health plan yet it can only be used for emergencies...I have to wait until I transfer to even have a shot at an X-Ray and a real medical diagnosis. --- Some days I still wake up haunted by that girl's memory, and I'm not sure if it's for all the wrong reasons. I can't wait to cut ties from this place and start my new life at a new university. I'm positive that for the past half year I'd flashed intermittently between sanity and near-psychotic dementia as my mind reeled at everything that had taken place. Anyway, that's my life story. Do you think I'll be ok?*After the suicide attempt, not only did I feel much weaker but for a while much less intelligent as well. Maybe it was just a case of severely reduced energy all around, or just the severe depression... more

I have a question regarding the formula called Gynexin, a pill that can supposedly cure gynecomastia. Is there anyone who has first-hand experience with this pill or possibly knows of someone who has taken it? I really don't want any biased answers here, basically if your a skeptic don't bother, all I want to know is if the formula or possibly an alternative pill form can actually break down the glandular tissue which resides behind the nipple area, it isn't fat.Just to add I've done a lot of research regarding the different forms of gynecomastia, pseudo-gynecomastia being one of them and that is not my case. Also I've had it for quite some time, atleast 8 years and I know this will not fade on its own accord. I've been reading up on gynecomastia and I may be wrong but it looks like it's caused by levels of oestrogen becoming too high (this then causes the development of breast tissue). It appears that the reason that gynecomastia is usually self-correcting is that the levels of testosterone increase enough to repress the oestrogen. So, my question is this: if this is the case then surely all that would need to be done to correct gynecomastia is to increase one's testosterone levels, right? Would this work? Could you take testosterone supplements to counteract it? more

Ok I 5'7" 220lbs. I've had gynecomastia for a very long time. My weight goes up and down throughout the year mainly because I get depressed and think that I will never get rid of my "man boobs".
